About: Pet Sitting Profile I’ve been around animals my entire life, and I’m always happiest when I get the chance to care for them! I’m moving back to Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 15, and I’m hoping to buy a home in the summer of 2027. In the meantime, I’ll be staying with relatives, so pet sitting and house sitting feel like a great way for us to help each other. I can earn some extra money toward my future home while getting to spend time with some amazing animals, and you can have peace of mind knowing your pets and home are in caring, responsible hands. A little about me: I’m 35, gay, and a friendly, responsible professional who works in hotel sales. I’ll be working fully remote, which gives me plenty of flexibility to be available and give your pets the attention and care they deserve. I currently have a 3-year-old large dog will be getting to vacation at his grandparents. Thankfully, my parents will be helping care for him. which allows me to take on pet sitting and house sitting opportunities. My experience with animals goes well beyond dogs and cats. I’ve had two saltwater aquariums with fish, corals, anemones, and more, as well as a large freshwater aquarium that I maintained for years. Growing up, I also owned several reptiles and have experience helping care for chickens, ducks, and other animals. Whether your pets need walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, aquarium care, or simply someone trustworthy around while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help. I genuinely enjoy animals and will treat your pets like they’re my own! I am relocating back home to Grand Rapids on September 15 and I will be working in a fully remote capacity from 10:30am-6pm. I will have a very flexible schedule and no commitments outside of work so last minute needs are easy to accommodate. I do travel for work periodically but that will get communicated well in advance. I have my travels through April on my availability already. I am most comfortable caring for the pets in their own environment. I will be living with relatives upon my return so cannot care for animals in my home unless there is a specific situation that is discussed in advance. I’ve watched relatives and friends pets for years and I am comfortable in many different housing situations!

About: Over the past four years, I have house-sat a multitude of times for all types of animals; birds, dogs, and even cats. I make sure that they get lots of love and playtime when I'm with them and any other requests by the owners. I have administered medicine to pets while I have house sat so there would be no worries while you are away! I have experience with foster dogs as well and volunteer at Animal Rescue Project. I am a college student so I have a very flexible schedule! With my classes, there is plenty of time for me to spend time with your furry friends and give them all the love they deserve while you are gone! When at your home, I'll make sure that your pet(s) gets fed on time, takes long walks, is let out when needed, and gets plenty of time to play. I also love to take pictures to send when you're away because everyone needs to see their fur baby while they are away. I can easily accommodate walks, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and playtime, and I can even care for pets while their owners are at work. I live in a clean, comfortable apartment and have plenty of experience having my family dog come stay with me. I’m also a very active person who loves walking and running, so I’m happy to bring an energetic pup along for some exercise and adventure! When your pet stays with me, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and at home! I’ll follow their normal feeding, potty, walking, and sleep routine as closely as possible and give them plenty of attention and playtime throughout the day. Since I work from home, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I’m also happy to take dogs on walks or runs if that fits their normal routine and energy level. About: I’ve been responsible for friends and family’s pets since roughly 16, more recently cats in the last 4 years. Plenty of experience all the way from small skittish beagles to large reactive pit mix’s. The key is patience and that’s one thing I can promise with your pet, understanding and dealing with different breeds, ages, sizes, behaviors and sometimes even disabilities/health concerns (we love em all). Also have experience with cats, all the way to senior cats with disabilities/health concerns (hearing & kidney failure) to fat cats with spicy attitude, I would like to say I have a plethora of different experience to care for your pet. Lastly, I think I would be a great sitter by being patient and simply understanding what pets mean to people! I do work full time in office but have work from home flexibility, as well as I pick my hours so can be available if needed. I prefer boarding on the weekends but can be available during the week! I can be available to let your dog out every 2 hours if needed, as well as give medication, feed them, and play with them as well. I live in a 1BR Deluxe duplex, have half of the first floor house to myself, so ample room for another or two. Do have liter box, as well as enough space for another if needed. As well as enough space for a dog crate and their favorite toys, food and treats :) My young pit mix has plenty of space shared with Gibby my cat, but they always choose to lay on the same bed together !

I am open to drop ins and house sitting any day of the week, although I would still stop at home daily to nurture my cat Aurora and the ferals I feed. 30 Minute Dog Walks include a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup much needed exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation. 30 Minute Drop-Ins include potty breaks/litter refresh, feeding, playtime, and of course snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you're away. My Basic House-Sitting service includes staying overnight with your fur baby so they have company and comfort in their own home, Along with daytime care every 4-6 hours for potty breaks/litter refresh, meals, playtime, and cuddles.

About: Hi there! Huge lover of all animals having grown up with them my entire life! In total I’ve had 5 dogs, 1 cat, lots of fish and most recently 2 rats as my personal pets. I am most knowledgeable about dogs. As a kid I helped train puppies (my parents were breeders for a few years) and went on to practice basic behavior training and agility with my dog. I currently do not have pets. I also love wild animals and have rescued and handled small birds, turtles, rabbits, and opossums. I’m comfortable caring for baby animals, odd animals, senior pets and special needs animals (my miniature schnauzer lived to be 16 and he was disabled for about 4 years, i.e. diapers, carrying around the house, bathed daily, etc.). I also have experience with how to handle anxious/prey animals (rats, rabbits). In my personal life I love the outdoors and walks/hikes! I am a very active and healthy person, I do not smoke or drink. I own a car and am happy to pick up pets at an additional small fee. I currently work from home as an artist and business owner. Because I’m the boss, your pets will receive all of the love and attention! Your pet’s enrichment and safety is number one and I take it very seriously! Meeting ahead of time to take notes on care and learn about the animals behavior is very important. I want your animal to be comfortable with me too and make sure I’m aware of any triggers or preferences. I like to send updates and photos (if you approve of that) to make you feel as comfortable as possible about our time together.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. I love being outside and going for walks and dogs just add to this. I cared for my little guy until he was 15, so I also have experience with senior dog care and handling meds. I usually have a later start to my work day, so morning walks are perfected for me. I am also a Fear Free and CPDT-KA, SBA Dog Trainer and formally taught Obedience Classes at the Humane Society of West Michigan, where I specialized in Reactive Dogs. I only use positive and reward based training. Now I primarily focus on providing free training sessions to families with dogs in our community who face financial hardships through the pet outreach organization Grand Rapids Pit Bull Alliance.. I have my CPDT-KA, Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed certification from the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. I also have my Fear Free Certification and am a member of the IAABC, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultents Shelter Division. I am also a Horticulturist therefore my schedule in the Fall and Winter changes to provide more availability as I am laid off from my landscaping employment. I will provide trusted care to your pets in the comfort of your home in a environment they are custom too and more at ease. My goal whether working with our pets in the shelter or clients pets is to create a relaxing environment where they are happy and free from stress.
