On walks, I keep dogs securely leashed and stay alert around other dogs, traffic, and wildlife.

I live in a townhome-style condo with my super friendly 2-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon, Jack! While I don’t have a private fenced yard, there is plenty of grassy yard space around my home for potty breaks and outdoor time, plus a dog park within walking distance for pups who enjoy it. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, walks, crate time, medications, or any special instructions. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home.

About: I’ve been doing overnight dog sitting for 7 years, I have many reoccurring parents reach out to me! I am a student getting my masters who loves to go on walks! I have quite the busy schedule but I prioritize the pets as much as possible! When I’m not at school I’m always sitting around with the pets so they aren’t alone and stay as much at the house as I can! I love being around animals and am patient and attentive to make sure pets can feel comfortable and safe. I grew up with dogs, cats, and a guinea pig so I am well versed in pet care. I also understand the importance of routines, communication, and trust when caring for someone else's pet. I have worked as a pet sitter in Grand Rapids Michigan in previous years and engaged in pet walking, giving medication, and overnight stays with dogs. As a student, I am organized and responsible with caring for animals, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them! I'm currently working part time training to become a CNA, so I have lots of free time to take care of your pets! My weekends are completely open for any consistent care, drop in visits, feeding, playtime, and keeping pets company. About: I seem to be a magnet for anxious dogs and cats! Both my senior cat and adolescent dog have behavioral issues/anxiety, and while it has its challenges, I find bonding with these guys can be the most rewarding experience. Between slow, gentle movements, not rushing a bond, and having lots of treats on hand, I've learned that "difficult" personalities don't always have to be so hard. I work 8-5 on weekdays, with Mondays and Fridays being working-from-home days. I can easily incorporate lunch-time and evening visits into my schedule during the week with open availability on weekends. After adopting an anxious/reactive dog, my partner and I have invested countless hours into a training program that works for us. Through this experience, I've learned the power of positive reinforcement, consent for touch, and patience even when it's the most difficult to find it. I'm a huge believer in redirecting unwanted behavior rather than punishment of any kind. Love and respect is the driving force behind all of my interactions with animals!

About: I am a compassionate and energetic sitter that is ready to take your pet on the best walk of their life or just give some regular good company. I am comfortable around all dogs and cats, I have a lot of experience caring for and listening to cues of animals. I also have 8 years experience in obedience training for dogs. I currently hold a part time position, so I would have a lot of time on my hands to care for your dog. I have more availability during the week, but weekends are also an option. I am open to either a fixed or random schedule. I will do my best to read your pet's cues, whether it's time to play or if they need some space for a while. I will be gentle and patient with your pet, I understand every animal is different. Safety is a top priority of mine as well, I will always double check that the gate/door isn't open and that the leash is hooked on properly.
