The best.”

About: Hi! I’m Hannah, and I’d love to care for your furry family member while you’re away. I’ve been a dog lover my entire life. I grew up with Rottweilers, but over the past two years I’ve discovered that my heart truly belongs to small dogs! I raised my Pomeranian, Leia, from the time she was a puppy, so I’m very familiar with the unique needs of toy breeds and puppies—from potty training and crate routines to lots of playtime, snuggles, and keeping curious little explorers safe. I was also a Rover dog walker for several years, giving me experience caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. While I have experience around larger dogs, I specialize in caring for small breeds and puppies and have created a home that’s perfect for them. As a pet parent myself, I know how hard it is to leave your dog behind. I use Rover for Leia whenever I travel, so I understand just how comforting it is to receive frequent updates. I’ll make sure you receive plenty of photos, videos, and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is happy, safe, and loved. I work from home most of the week, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day. I live with my twin sister and our friendly Pomeranian, Leia, in a cozy, puppy-proof apartment that’s ready for all the zoomies, naps, and playful shenanigans your little one can dream up. My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re on vacation too! I’ll treat them like part of the family and provide the same level of love and attention that I want for my own pup. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! I work from home most of the week, so I’m able to provide consistent care, companionship, and supervision throughout the day. Your pup won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, playtime, walks, and cuddle time. I naturally build pet care into my daily routine, ensuring your dog receives the attention, love, and structure they’re used to while you’re away. My flexible schedule also allows me to adapt to your dog’s feeding, medication, and exercise routine whenever needed. I can easily get a small sized dog into a crate. I always make sure the dog eats their food if I have to leave. I keep a watchful eye on the pet when they are out with me, whether or not they are inside with me out of their crate or outside with me on a leash.
“Caesar thoroughly enjoyed his stay with Hommer & Hellen and I felt like I was leaving him with my own family. They are passionate about caring for pets and were extraordinary with keeping updated during Caesar's stay.”

“My two boys were in great hands!! This was my first time boarding them (cats), and I wasn’t sure how they’d handle it, but they did great. I would definitely book again. Thanks, Sierra!”

About: I've had a dog in my home my entire life, and am always the one my friends/family turn to if they need someone to look after their pets. I have also fostered multiple dogs with leash reactivity, and have had some 1-1 work with an R+ (positive reinforcement) trainer to ensure pups can have the best experience out and about in the world while still getting their sniffs and exercise in. I occasionally run outside so I can offer to run with your pup(s) 1-2 times a week if you'd like, and I live 5 minutes away from Baron Cameron park if you like for them to play with other pups during the day at a dog park as well. Or of course we can just snuggle most of the day while I work from home. Well either way there will be lots of snuggles and pets... My last dog passed away in 2025 after a year long battle with cancer, so I have no problem giving medicine and making sure we stay on a strict schedule with food/medicine if that is what your dog needs. I look forward to becoming your pup's new best friend! I work part-time from home. I'm available for day-sitting while you're at work or overnight boarding when you're out of town. I'm typically up by 7:30, have a fenced in backyard, go on walks/runs throughout the day and love going to the dog park if your pup enjoys it! I have a 6 foot fence in my backyard that your pup can play around in. Take 2-3 x 25 minute walks around the neighborhood throughout the day and can occasionally go for 30-60 minute jogs if your pup enjoys more exercise (1-2/week)
About: What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals and the personalized, dependable care I provide to every pet I meet. I treat your pets like family, taking the time to understand their unique needs, personalities, and routines. I also make time each week to: • Prepare supplies (treats, toys, leashes, litter, etc.) • Review and update care notes for each pet • Maintain strong communication with pet parents through updates and photos I offer a cozy, pet-friendly space with plenty of room to play, relax, and feel at home. I maintain a calm, clean, and supervised environment, free of hazards, with designated areas for sleep, play, and meals. I follow each pet’s routine closely—whether that’s feeding times, walks, medications, or cuddles—so they experience minimal disruption while away from their family. Pets in my care are never left alone for long, and I offer frequent potty breaks, enrichment, and one-on-one attention throughout the day.

“Jill & Sean took good care of our dog. They were quick to answer questions and send pics of our dog. Our dog had an upset stomach and they took good care of him. Thank you!”

“Courtney was absolutely amazing. She constantly sent pictures and videos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. More importantly, Bailey was treated like family. Not just by Courtney, but by her entire family, including the kids, who gave her so much love and attention. You can tell they genuinely care about animals, and it showed in every interaction. Bailey had an amazing time, and I would use Courtney again every chance I get. Highly recommended.”

“Ana is an amazing dog sitter. It was my dog's first time staying with her, and she went above and beyond to ensure he felt right at home. She took the time to share regular updates, which really put my mind at ease. I’m so grateful for her care and attention!”

“Hoa was great! My husband and I were away for three days, and Hoa took such a good care of our puppy! She also provided daily updates, sending multiple videos and pictures a few times a day :) thanks to Hoa, we were able to enjoy our trip, and our puppy Kringsley was very happy as well! We’ll definitely come back to Hoa when we are out of town.”

“Cody’s stay with Jungeun was great! Her home was a good fit for my dog - two kind adults who seemed to treat him as their own. It looked like Cody got lots of snuggles, playtime and walks outside. Jungeun provided a daily update with many photos and videos and she responded quickly to my questions via Rover. I will definitely use Jungeun again.”

“Candice was an excellent sitter for Ahsoka. They took to each other immediately and she sent me plenty of pictures. Ahsoka was very loved and I look forward to hiring Candice again.”

Sierra was amazing! She responded quickly to our last-minute request for dog sitting, which we really appreciated. Since it was our dog’s first time staying with a sitter, we were a little nervous, but she kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear he was well cared for and in great hands. We would absolutely book with Sierra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter! 🐾💙

Sydney was a wonderful pet sitter for my dog. I appreciate Sydney being flexible and helping me out on short notice. She took really great care of my dog and sent me lots of picture updates while I was away, which I appreciated a lot. My dog looked very happy and got lots of exercise and cuddles
This is our second time having Daphne sit Bryce, and they were absolutely AMAZING with him! Kept in touch everyday with great communication, pictures, and asked questions when they were ever concerned about anything. She was able to accommodate to his needs and was so flexible that it made everything such a weight off of our shoulders. Bryce felt more than comfortable, he was right at home!! We would 10/10 recommend her to anyone who needs sitting services, especially if she’s able to be available for you. No complaints, concerns, regrets..just puts you right as ease about your fur baby while you’re away and that’s such a huge help. Thank you so much!!! Again and again, we will always appreciate you, your time, efforts, and dedication to making sure they’re treated as if they’re your own!!

We had an incredible experience with Amethyst for our pet. It took no time for her to understand our pet’s nature to start taking care of him. She was very punctual with her updates which made our vacation go so smoothly. We feel so lucky to have found Amethyst for our pet’s boarding needs!
Amanda is amazing! Gizmo had a tough time getting used to things at first, but Amanda was so patient and flexible with his schedule that he felt much more at ease. She’s incredibly caring, and we really appreciated her daily updates. She kept us in the loop about any concerns and made us feel confident that Gizmo was in great hands. I would highly recommend her, and I’d definitely trust her with Gizmo again in the future.
Shushmita is so warm-spirited. My daughter and I sensed it right away when we met her and her pup Niko. She watched my dogs while we were on a family vacation in another state. She sent us photos and videos and responded to my many check-ins. She even cooked for them when they ran out of the bland diet I supplied. They are both thoroughly spoiled! I will definitely book with her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
