About: I have over 13 years of hands-on experience caring for cats. During that time, I’ve raised four cats of my own and have cared for cats through all different stages of life, from young, energetic cats to seniors who need a little more patience and attention. I’ve also spent time volunteering at cat shelters, which gave me experience with cats of many different personalities and temperaments. Right now I have one cat, Blue, who is 3 years old and a huge part of my life. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person looking after your cat while you’re away. I’m happy to follow whatever routine you already have in place, whether that includes feeding, litter box care, playtime, attention, or simply keeping them company and letting them enjoy their space. Cats can be pretty clear about what they’re comfortable with if you know what to look for. I’m also pretty used to noticing when a cat is getting overstimulated or has simply decided they’ve had enough attention for now! I also have some experience caring for dogs and will occasionally accept house sitting for dogs on a case-by-case basis. “Lauren took very good care of our young cats, playing with both our cats and especially our high-energy cat and continually reaching out to our more pensive cat and trying new ways of engaging her until she finally won her over. We love the notifications from the Rover app letting us know that Lauren was starting her visit. About: I've had pets my whole life and know how much it matters to leave yours somewhere you trust. Your dog will be part of the household here — not crated in a back room — with plenty of attention, a regular routine, and photo updates so you know how the day is going. A few things to know about my setup: I have a yard, but it isn't fenced, so all potty breaks and outdoor time are leashed and supervised. Never off-leash. I have one dog of my own, a friendly female Bernedoodle named Dorothy. She's good with other dogs, and I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet first to make sure everyone gets along. I work from home, so your dog won't be alone for long stretches. Comfortable with puppies, senior dogs with special needs, and everything in between. For walks, I'll stick to whatever route and pace your dog is used to, and I'll let you know how it went. Happy to set up a free meet-and-greet before booking anything. My schedule is completely my own so I can tailor my day to what your dog is used to. Our usual routine is a walk/run in the morning and a walk with the whole family in the evening. Dorothy is crate trained and so can be right next to your dog to keep them company. I have a good sized yard where I can let the dogs out on leashes and a fenced in deck if they want to be outside. I live 5 minutes from an animal hospital and am used to the random ailments that come with taking care of dogs.

About: My daughters complain that their fur babies are spoiled when I return them. (And, they keep asking me to take care of them despite this. ) I prefer it over the Day job, And find the company of pets so rewarding. If I could make pet care a full time job, I would. I welcome them in like guests. But, of course follow instructions given pertaining to their care. I have a soft crate and raised dog beds with covers that can be washed each visit.

My end-unit townhome backs up to the retention pond. I can see the walking trail that backs up to the forest from my deck. My small, fenced-in backyard opens up to a wheelchair accessible paver path.
