I have a flexible schedule and make pet care a priority in my daily routine. I’m available for check-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care depending on your pet’s needs. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their own environment while keeping owners updated with messages and photos.

“ALyssa is the greatest! She took care of my pet tortoise and she even went out and got food when I was away. Lastly, when I came down with Covid she offered to help go grocery shopping or pick up meds for me. What a great person and not just a pet sitter!”

I can visit, play or walk with your pet between 10 am and 4 pm. I am happy to look after your pet in your home, providing play time, feeding, outside time or other activities to help keep your pet safe, happy and healthy.
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of experience taking care of dogs, cats and horses. I provide lots of quiet snuggle sessions in a home environment with attentive, loving care for each pet's needs. I treat every furry friend like family and offer a calm, safe and reliable environment. Looking forward to meeting your pet and giving them the care they deserve. I mostly work from home with occasional short meetings outside. Your pet will have access to lots of personal attention and company day and night. There are lots of dog beds throughout the house. I have a fenced yard and 3 small friendly dogs and 1 cat to keep your pet company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, and have been a huge animal lover my whole life. I’ve always been a sitter for friends and family in need and figured I might as well expand my services. I have a big home and yard, with plenty of grass and room to run. Our home is very pet friendly, and they pretty much are free to roam as they please. My husband and I keep the home clean, but cozy. We have kids, cats, and dogs and everyone gets along. We keep the upstairs blocked off so the cats have their own space to play and relax. There are tile floors for a cool place to nap, dog beds, cat trees, and plenty of toys. I’m a nurse and CPR certified, so your fur baby is safe with me. I only ask that your pet is friendly, and if you have a dog that they are a minimal barker as we like to keep our neighbors happy. I can help with potty training, bathing, and medicines too…whatever your pet needs. All you need to provide is your pets favorite food. I’ll take care of the rest. I work part time as a nurse, usually during the nights and my husband is a stay at home dad. I have plenty of time and energy to devote to your fur baby. I have a large home and yard with plenty of grass. There are also several dog parks within our community for your fur baby to play.
About: I bring over 22 years of hands-on pet care experience, including 12 years as a veterinary technician, which gives me a strong foundation in animal health, behavior, and safety. What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to not only provide loving companionship, but also recognize and respond to the unique needs of each dog, whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior in need of extra patience, or a pet requiring medication or special care. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to care for their pets as if they were my own, and I take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. My goal is always to make your dog feel at home, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in capable and caring hands. I’m self-employed and homeschool my kids, so I’m home throughout the day with plenty of time to give your pup attention, love, and playtime. Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily routine, and I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends. We’re a loving, pet-friendly household! My husband is a retired veteran, and together with our kids and two friendly dogs, your pet will always get affection and care. I have a fenced yard for safe play, can crate your dog if needed, and only accept pets that are good with children so everyone feels comfortable. Your dog will truly feel like part of our family while they stay with us.
About: I can’t remember when I haven’t been around dogs. Pets are like the companions and will always be apart of my family no matter how old they get. I work full time. I would always find time to take care of a pet no matter the type, as long as they like me. My yard is fenced in. I have a privacy fence so other dogs can’t see them. My dogs are mainly people lovers so my dogs would be separated majority of the time.
About: Anytime, anywhere I’ll be there! I am passionate about animals and would love to take care of your fur babies while you’re away. I am willing to send photos, updates and FaceTime whenever necessary. I am knowledgeable in medication handling, feeding routines and nature walks. I’ve trained several breeds in my lifetime. (Non-licensed but great at it none the less) I am currently retired and have open availability. I am willing to travel. I have a 2020 Elantra. I live in Desert Hot Springs. Thank you I am a part of a community that has a dog park. My home pet friendly. I have a fur baby of my own and my sister has a fur baby of her own as well. Very other pet friendly.
About: New to Rover, but not new to pet care! I’ve had dogs and cats at home my entire life and have spent two years pet sitting for four large dogs. I’m also a proud dog mom to a sassy, slightly reactive dachshund, which has taught me the importance of patience, calm energy, and being aware of each dog’s unique triggers and needs. I always prioritize safety, trust, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I am a graduate student at UCLA back at home for the summer. I am available throughout the week and on weekends with at least one week's advance notice. When caring for pets in their home, I follow each owner’s instructions to provide safe, comfortable, and consistent care. On walks, I stay alert to my surroundings and prioritize calm, safe leash handling for every dog. I will treat your pet like if it is my own.
“Elaine was able to visit my cats at our home. Everything was coordinated and planned, the process was straight forward. Like the past appointment with Elaine she was wonderful to work with and I hope to use her services again in the future when traveling.”

About: I've grown up with dogs, taking care of them regularly. Living in the desert has equipped me with the skills to care for animals in a harsh climate such as constantly providing water, scheduling walks out of the heat, and watching out for wildlife. I also volunteered at an animal shelter while I was in high school where I learned more about the needs of various animals, learning that each have their own personality! I'm currently home for the summer from college, so my hours are very flexible. I am available weekdays and weekends to help with feeding, walking, and just hanging out with your pets! I can easily commute to your home to care for your pet. I'm here to adapt to their needs and ensure that they are happy and healthy!
About: Hi, I’m new-ish to Rover and I’m so excited to have the chance to be a care sitter for your furry boy/girl! I’ve been raised around dogs from a variety of breeds since I was 10 years old when I got my very first dog, a miniature Schnauzer named Tank. My dad made it very clear that if I wanted a dog, the responsibility would be mine, and so from that age I learned how to care for him myself—feeding, walking, cleaning up, and making sure he was happy and well cared for. Since then, caring for dogs has always been something that comes naturally to me. I understand what our furry friends need for each stage of their life and their quirky qualities🐾 I have 2 large breed working/guard dogs and raised them how to sit, stay, down, drop it, and come as far as basic commands go, if there’s anything your pet needs considering training needs I’m eager to know and learn about them 😁 Either way, I love all dogs no matter the background, my focus is that they are cared and loved as if they were at home! I’m work from home—pet care fits right in my schedule since I’m home all day and am available to walk, feed, water, and train them as needed and on my breaks! I’m adaptable and fully flexible to your pets schedule, needs, and routine. I have medium and large sized crates as well as a 1200sq ft backyard fenced off if they want to get active any time of the day! If you have any toys for your furry friends to fetch or to chew bring them along!🐾 I am also within 5 min of the dog park and love taking my dogs to stretch their legs, so walks are with purpose and reward always! Please let me know if there are any accommodations I can provide and make for your pup and I’m happy to be of service. My upmost priority is to ensure your pup is having a comfortable, relaxing stay and is nurtured all the way through.

“Ashurina helped me out of a jam, was needing to head out of town last min. She came by the same day I called her to meet with myself and my 2 girls (fur baby cats). She checked in and updated me, sent pictures and had my 2 cats engaged during her drop in. Thank you so much.”
“James was a huge help watching our kitty while we traveled. He watched Wolfie with great care giving him a daily dose of medicine, filling water and food and cleaning the litter box. James was always communicative and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Desert Hot Springs
Mia is wonderful with my dogs. She watched them tonight while I had a meeting and sent me a picture of each one, which meant so much and showed me how happy they were. One of the pictures was especially adorable — she was holding one while the other looked up at her from the ground. She’s always reliable, responsible, and clearly loves animals. I highly recommend her!

Angelica took such great care of our Daisy. This was our first time using Rover, so I wasn’t sure about how any of it worked. Angelica has a calm & kind manner that even our skittish 3 year old rescue warmed up to. Angelica’s visits made it possible for us to meet up with family during the day and be home with Daisy at the end of our day. Thanks so much Angelica!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
