About: Hey there! I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away or take them out when you're too busy. I live with my own little crew of three cats and one dog and have fostered and cared for other animals over the years. I'm located in Yucca Valley on the mesa and have experience working and volunteering with cat and dog rescue groups, including handling large breeds and recently rescued dogs. I can provide walking, pet-sitting in your home, and active play for any size dog. I'm highly responsible, attentive, and punctual, and sensitive to pets with special needs or quirks. I love getting to know individual animals and catering to their personalities and needs. Medication, special needs, senior pets ok!
“We were in Joshua Tree for a few days. LeeAnn was punctual, flexible with our changing schedule and, most importantly, was great with our shy dog. We appreciate her willingness to work with us!”

“Elizabeth is a wonderful pet sitter. She is very friendly and focused on taking care of your fur baby. She is patient and our kitty loved her. We did rebook and it is a huge relief to know we can rely on Elizabeth to take care of our pride and joy, especially because she requires two injections of insulin per day. I highly recommend Elizabeth!”

“Beverly was an awesome cat sitter for our drop in visits. She cared exactly what we care about with our cats - them staying safe and comfy! She was thorough in locating them and providing photos and updates. We’ll definitely be partnering again!”

“BReN saved me when I had to leave home last minute due to a family emergency and I needed someone to check on my baby girl Xochitl while I was away. I received several photos of kitty being very social and affectionate upon BReN’s arrival. She also made sure to leave extra food and water since the power had gone out in other parts of town due to high winds. I’m so grateful to have someone who cares so much about animals who can care for Xochitl.”

About: I've been taking care of animals for my entire life. Outside of having my own fur babies (three cats, and two dogs), I have frequently cat/dog sat for friends, family, and neighbors! I have a deep love, and understanding for animals. I am ready to get to know your pets, and learn about their own unique characteristics and needs. I am able to provide feeding, grooming, exercise, quality time and any medical accommodations they may need. I'm currently taking some time off from my regular employment, so I have an abundance of free time to care for and spend quality time with your pets! I will utilize any instructions given, as well as my own intuition when it comes to the safety and well being of your pet. Whether we are at your home or playing at a park, your pet will be in very safe hands. I am also prepared to have active communication with you in regards to your pets, and how they are doing.
“Larissa is extremely responsible and so thoughtful! She even gifted my dog a new food and water stand! She has been a great help lately and I highly recommend anyone use her services.”

“Renee was friendly and easy to communicate with for our drop in visit. She handled our two dogs (one of them reactive) without any issues and was receptive to all of our care notes. Would happily recommend and book her again.”

About: Being a pet mom has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. With three dogs and two cats, I’ve built a beautiful, chaotic family that brings me joy every day. From early morning walks to cozy nights on the couch, I’ve learned the true meaning of unconditional love, patience, and the importance of bonding with my fur babies. What I can provide to your family is my 20 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated pet mom. I truly understand the unique needs and personalities of different animals, having cared for a handful of dogs and cats of my own. This deep connection with pets allows me to provide tailored care, whether it’s managing medical needs, addressing behavioral quirks, or simply offering extra cuddles. My commitment, empathy, and attention to detail ensure every pet feels safe, loved, and valued, making their time with me as stress-free and enjoyable as possible while also giving you and your family the peace of mind knowing your fur baby is in good hands. *As I have dogs and cats myself, I ask that your fur baby be current on vaccines and clear of symptoms of canine flu or kennel cough within the past 14 days. *NEW CLIENTS - Meet and greet required for day care and trial night required for boarding. I work from home full-time, so I'll have plenty of time to care & play with your fur babies. I let my dogs out at least 3x a day, I always provide fresh water, and if ever I have errands to run, I don’t leave my pets no longer than four hours. I’m very flexible with my time whether specific feeding and drinking schedule, providing medication, or if your baby doesn’t like being left alone, I can work around your pet’s individual needs. I have a fenced front yard and five friendly pets (3 dogs & 2 cats) to keep your fur baby company. I have baby gates to separate my pets from yours or I can keep my pets in the bedroom if needed. I always keep a close eye on my pets when they’re out in the yard.
About: I have taken care of pets since an early age. We have had surgeries, Iv care and shot and medication experience. I have trained puppies and dogs and shown dogs that have won titles. I currently do pet and people portraits while I’m pet sitting and the dogs are napping. I have an elderly dog and two younger Labradors that live here. I also have vegetable gardens, gardens and lawn I water every 3-4 days. Taking care of cuddlers is my life💕 I have 7 snake wire fenced yards. Two have lawns. One yard with a large patio and dirt and shade and the other areas have sawdust so the dogs won’t burn their feet. I also have three larger areas for winter runs. The fencing is 6’ high except in the large lawn area. It is 4.5’.
“Shawna helped me during a family emergency and I’m so grateful for her empathy and her sense of responsibility when caring for pets. I’m eternally grateful that she made time for my cat today.”
“Greg was great! He went above and beyond, cleaning my carpet when my cat had an accident outside the box. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was taking good care of her.”
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is there is no debate with me when it comes to which is better, cats or dogs. I just love taking care of your fur babies! Plus I have dealt with older animals and understand what comes with handling them. Pet care fits in my routine perfectly! This and college will blend in perfectly in my day to day routine getting me where I need to be! I unfortunately cannot have any dogs or cats in my home, because there already are 4 dogs plus a cat in the home that I take care of. But I am willing to stay and take care of your pets in your home.
“Jenny did a great job coming by and checking on our cats. she was prompt, reliable and sent multiple pictures of my kitties looking happy and comfortable with her. she was super helpful and communicative and we would definitely use her again!”

About: We both come from pet-oriented families with experience in fostering, pet sitting, and special needs pet care. Allie works from home with plenty of time for walks, play, and cuddles. Rahul loves going for runs with dogs as they are able! Loving home with no kids, one sweetie doggie, HUGE backyard and monitored doggie door, and two loving capable carers! Allie works part time from home so she has nothing but time and energy to devote to your pet. We both get up early and are very adaptable to the needs of your pet. We have a vast network of walking trails behind our house, I give my dog 2 long walks, one in the morning and one in the evening to avoid heat of the day, and your pet will have access to doggie door to go out at will into fenced yard with active supervision. If access to doggie door is an issue, we can keep it closed. I have experience following pet-owners instructions and I have great communication if I have any questions or concerns. I can send you daily updates/photos, and I can follow all instructions regarding any special needs.
“Katie did a couple of drop ins for my dog and 2 cats. They were all very comfortable with her and she gave them tons of attention! We would definitely recommend her to others and will use her for future trips!”

“April was absolutely wonderful for our sweet pets while we were away for a week. We knew we didn't have to worry about them at all while we were gone, which was such a relief. We'd highly recommend her!:)”
“I am so grateful to have come across Kristin through Rover. My baby Lyu absolutely adores her, and we are both grateful to have Kristin as a part of our weekly routine. Her training techniques, knowledge, and insight have been invaluable in strengthening the bond between my pup and me. Kristin is a strong and confident dog trainer and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to enrich their dog’s life.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
