“Sarah was amazing!! Sarah went above and beyond for my pup. She was very helpful, patient, and helped reinforce training. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and gave excellent advice. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

About: Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. I have a very large yard with lots of open space to run and play. The fence is 6ft tall, so hard to jump over. I have a 15 year old fixed female lab mix, Bella. She gets along with other dogs but mostly keeps to herself and isn’t interested in playing. I also have a 7 year old beagle lab mix, male, also fixed, Winston. Winston LOVES to play but also recognizes when someone does not. I work locally and my day is flexible which allows for many potty breaks and time outside. My family lives local so I rarely go out of town. I am more than happy to meet with you and your pet ahead of time as well. Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. “Carol was such a great communicator and sent us photos every day. She treated our shy cat with lots of respect and gave the outgoing one a ton of play time and attention. She was prompt every day and cleaned up the treat dishes and the litter boxes despite how messy my cats are. Absolutely will be booking Carol in the future to take care of my fur babies!”

“BReN once again was a great sitter for my cat Xochitl while I was away for a week. My cat is very independent and doesn’t cuddle much so BReN must be a cat whisperer because I received frequent pictures of Xochitl hanging out on her lap or next to her! The house was clean upon return and she even brought in a package that arrived while we were out. BReN is thoughtful and caring toward animals and their human guardians.”

“LeeAnn is such an amazing pet sitter! She's very quick and responsive, and sends the cutest pictures of pets! I'm so thankful she lives in the area <3 Thank you so much, LeeAnn! <3 Mamba and Liv”

“Mary was available for last minute request of several drop ins for us when our sitter cancelled. She was even accommodating to do an extra drop in for a day when a family member who was supposed to drop by also couldn’t make it. She is attentive to the animals and their needs and always communicates with questions about anything as well as photos of them. We appreciate it so much, thank you again!!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals most of my life. I had my first dog when I was 9 years old and cared for him until I was 15. Now, I’m a proud pet parent to two Chow Chows, my sweet girl Lulu and my baby Rocko. They’ve taught me so much about patience and giving dogs the love and structure they need. I also enjoy caring for smaller pets! At home, I have a beautiful half moon twin tail betta fish and three snails, which has given me experience with aquarium care. Whether furry or finned, I know how important it is to create a safe and happy environment for every pet. 🐾💖 I’m currently a part time student so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m free most days of the week except Sundays. I care deeply about creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for your pet. You can trust me to treat them like family. Always with patience, attention, and plenty of love!
About: I have always had dogs in my home, up until a few months ago. I have worked at an animal shelter and have experience with shelter animals (dogs and cats) with walking, medicating, cleaning, grooming and socializing difficult animals. I have cared for older animals and younger animals and know what things to watch out for to ensure the safety of the animal is met. I am also currently volunteering at the Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter. I am completely available 7 days a week! The only priorities I have are my own dog so overnight stays are unlikely for me, but I am open to discussing. I am very practiced in animal care so if you hire me, I can bring some comfort to you so you can feel your pets will be looked after and cared for properly and lovingly.

“Chantelle was wonderful taking care of our diabetic cat. She made sure he had food, water, medication and love. This was a, must be our of town moment, and she was awesome. Thank you so much!!!!!!! Highly recommend.”

“Claire did an excellent job staying with our two Westies for five night over Thanksgiving and then adding on unexpectedly a drop in visit when our plans changed. She was great with the boys and our house. We were a little nervous because we’ve never had in house sitting before, only boarding. When we returned, we found Claire left the house in better shape then when we left. What a surprise! Her updates and photos of the boys throughout the stay also helped calm our nerves. This was a great first time experience w Claire and Rover!!!! Thank you.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me🤍 I have two dogs of my own and experience with breeds of all sizes, especially large and giant breeds. I’ve care for many friends’ and family’s dogs over the years, including reactive dogs. Work from home so your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I’m very attentive , and always put your dog’s safety and comfort first, treating every pet as if they were my own💖 I live on base and offer boarding and drop-in visits, making it convenient for families and others in the area. I’d love the opportunity to give you peace of mind while your pet enjoys a safe, loving home away from home! I work from home full-time so all dogs have full-time supervision! My hours are flexible for all drop ins. Boarding pups get walked morning and night and potty breaks in the afternoon as needed I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your baby company. There is also 2 gated dog areas in house for any dogs that like their personal space 💕
“Nathalie was amazing with our dog and took such good care of him + gave us lots of updates! Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who’s trustworthy and has a lot of experience with animals”

About: Hello, my name is Seana, my experience comes from having grown up with pets of many kinds, both my own and others. I can feed, bathe, clean up after, walk and play with your dog. There may be times where I may need to bring another dog with me, so if you could please let me know how your dog is with others, then I can arrange accordingly. To contact me I would appreciate a phone call to arrange a meet up. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you and your pet soon. I am currently job hunting, so I am always home with plenty of time to care for your beloved pets. I only ask to arrange a meet and greet before a service is booked. I live in a house on 5 acres of unfenced land. I do have a cat of my own so overnights will have to be at my home, otherwise I am flexible.
About: I have taken care of pets since an early age. We have had surgeries, Iv care and shot and medication experience. I have trained puppies and dogs and shown dogs that have won titles. I currently do pet and people portraits while I’m pet sitting and the dogs are napping. I have an elderly dog and two younger Labradors that live here. I also have vegetable gardens, gardens and lawn I water every 3-4 days. Taking care of cuddlers is my life💕 I have 7 snake wire fenced yards. Two have lawns. One yard with a large patio and dirt and shade and the other areas have sawdust so the dogs won’t burn their feet. I also have three larger areas for winter runs. The fencing is 6’ high except in the large lawn area. It is 4.5’.
“I am so happy with the help I received from Sarah! She was such a sweet person and really cared for my kitties. She was very patient with my shy kitty and tried her best to make sure she ate despite refusing. I am very happy with her services, she had great communication and was very responsible. I will definitely be hiring her again and would definitely recommend her!”

“Rejoice watched my puppy for an afternoon recently when I couldn’t leave him alone for too long. She was available pretty last minute and was great! She clearly loves dogs and didn’t just drop in to walk him but stayed with him for the afternoon which was a huge help! She knows a lot about dogs and how to care for them and I am so happy I’ve found a great option for dog sitting for my new pooch! Will definitely use again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Twentynine Palms
Sierra has sat for me many times at this point and as always, shes is wonderful. Even with my scared cat that needs meds and my nervous/shy dog that needs a little extra time to be brave, she makes sure everyone gets what they need with each visit. She shows up when she says she will and follows all care guides as asked. Thanks again as always!

We wish we found Tayler earlier, she is absolutely fantastic and our pups ADORE her! We started off with her doing walks and can now officially leave the dogs at home and have her come in for drop in visits. This has allowed us to actually leave the house for day trips for the first time since we adopted Koa in 2024. Koa and Jax genuinely look forward to seeing her everytime she comes in and seeing their happy faces on their Rover cards makes us smile. She is an amazing dogwalker and dogsitter, highly recommend!! P.S. Even our shy cat comes out to say hello to her! 😊

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
