About: ***Base Access!*** I have been taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, and horses for as long as I can remember. I am great with detailed instructions, medication, and provide attentive care. I have two large reactive dogs and am familiar with avoiding and handling reactivity on walks. I normally have evening availability on weekdays after work and potentially mornings prior to 8 am. I have more flexibility on weekends and can provide morning, afternoon, and/or evening care. I am very detail oriented and will be extremely attentive when caring for your pet. I will follow all instructions and ensure your pet is cared for as if they are my own!
“Sierra was attentive and responsive from the first moment I contacted her. Her passion for animals and their wellbeing is so apparent and I’m grateful she helped to watch my pet for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to take care of him again in the future!”

“Sarah was amazing!! Sarah went above and beyond for my pup. She was very helpful, patient, and helped reinforce training. She’s very knowledgeable about dogs and gave excellent advice. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

About: I have Base access! I have loved and cared for pets through word of mouth for many years for family and friends. Dogs, cats and kittens, and even guinea pigs, I treat all animals with unconditional kindness and care! I enjoy walking dogs just as much as they do! I am unable to board pets in my own apartment. For drop in-visits, I can certainly come to your residence! I am typically available Monday-Friday, from 6am to 3pm! I hope to work with animals in my free time. Another note- I have base access to MCAGCC so I am able to care for pets on base too! With regard to the pet owner's instructions, I will feed pets properly and timely and clean up after myself and your pets in your home. I am very happy to play with and entertain your pets, be it a game of fetch or endless scratches!

About: Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. I have a very large yard with lots of open space to run and play. The fence is 6ft tall, so hard to jump over. I have a 15 year old fixed female lab mix, Bella. She gets along with other dogs but mostly keeps to herself and isn’t interested in playing. I also have a 7 year old beagle lab mix, male, also fixed, Winston. Winston LOVES to play but also recognizes when someone does not. I work locally and my day is flexible which allows for many potty breaks and time outside. My family lives local so I rarely go out of town. I am more than happy to meet with you and your pet ahead of time as well. Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. “Ashley is phenomenal with Felicia! Felicia has anxiety, and is pretty wary with new people, but absolutely adores Ashley. I get sent pictures of Felicia just being the happiest and most relaxed girl, which makes me feel great! I genuinely think Felicia is disappointed sometimes when she sees that it's me coming through the door instead of Ashley. If you have an anxious pet, I highly recommend Ashley, as she's so great with them!”

“Kio was fantastic. She was prompt and communicative. She played with my babies and kept me fully updated with pictures. She is reliable and friendly. Will definitely be using her again.”

“I am so happy with the help I received from Sarah! She was such a sweet person and really cared for my kitties. She was very patient with my shy kitty and tried her best to make sure she ate despite refusing. I am very happy with her services, she had great communication and was very responsible. I will definitely be hiring her again and would definitely recommend her!”

About: Since I was 14 my family and I have taken care of coworkers dogs and houses when they leave for vacation. I am even capable of giving medicine and eye drops because I recently watched a coworker’s dogs that needed medicine and drops throughout the day. I’m currently on break from work but in a month will return back to work which is full time 8-3 during the week. For now my schedule is open but once I go back to work I can still manage both if needed. As for my home I do have a fenced yard and two other dogs that can interact with other dogs but if that is not the case for some dogs our house can be divided to keep my dogs on one side the dog or dogs that I am watching on another side if needed. As for in someone else home I will go by that dog or dogs normal routine and treat them with the same love I treat my dogs with.
About: I’ve grown a lot of patience with ankle biters! and my 16 year old dog at home is blind and deaf but gets the best care from me!! I work at a hospital and work 12 hour shifts, please let me know when I should be checking in on them if I’m not fully staying all day :) I work very carefully and precisely to give the best work possible! I am very attentive to animals so say if they wanted to play, I can entertain them haha. I also will always have my phone on me so I can be contacted at any time.

About: Hello, my name is Seana, my experience comes from having grown up with pets of many kinds, both my own and others. I can feed, bathe, clean up after, walk and play with your dog. There may be times where I may need to bring another dog with me, so if you could please let me know how your dog is with others, then I can arrange accordingly. To contact me I would appreciate a phone call to arrange a meet up. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you and your pet soon. I am currently job hunting, so I am always home with plenty of time to care for your beloved pets. I only ask to arrange a meet and greet before a service is booked. I live in a house on 5 acres of unfenced land. I do have a cat of my own so overnights will have to be at my home, otherwise I am flexible.
“Nathalie was amazing with our dog and took such good care of him + gave us lots of updates! Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who’s trustworthy and has a lot of experience with animals”

About: I have been a dedicated pet owner for 10 years, but have always loved animals. I currently do not have any pets in my home, so I can pay special attention to your pets. I enjoy playing, petting & teaching simple commands/tricks to all animals. I hope to be a sitter/walker you can rely on. I am currently in between jobs & planning to start taking classes, so I am able to make pet care a priority at this moment. I am hoping to offer flexible services in order to accommodate all of my clients wants/needs. I can be offer as much as light training servives, like potty or crate training or as little as just making sure your pets are loved, fed, given fresh water & frequent potty trips.
“Mary was available for last minute request of several drop ins for us when our sitter cancelled. She was even accommodating to do an extra drop in for a day when a family member who was supposed to drop by also couldn’t make it. She is attentive to the animals and their needs and always communicates with questions about anything as well as photos of them. We appreciate it so much, thank you again!!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals most of my life. I had my first dog when I was 9 years old and cared for him until I was 15. Now, I’m a proud pet parent to two Chow Chows, my sweet girl Lulu and my baby Rocko. They’ve taught me so much about patience and giving dogs the love and structure they need. I also enjoy caring for smaller pets! At home, I have a beautiful half moon twin tail betta fish and three snails, which has given me experience with aquarium care. Whether furry or finned, I know how important it is to create a safe and happy environment for every pet. 🐾💖 I’m currently a part time student so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I’m free most days of the week except Sundays. I care deeply about creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment for your pet. You can trust me to treat them like family. Always with patience, attention, and plenty of love!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Twentynine Palms
Chantelle was a lifesaver for watching our kitties while we traveled! We took a 6-day trip and she did 1-hour daily drop-ins. We truly appreciated all the pictures and updates she sent letting us know how they were doing. Our girls warmed up to her quickly and she gave them a lot of attention and care! We will use her again and highly recommend her!

Two of my three senior kitties were on medication when Sierra watched them while we were away. She was able to successfully dose liquid and pill medications, even though one of my ladies typically runs and hides from new people. She always shows up when she says and even took my trash cans to the curb for me! Can’t recommend Sierra enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Twentynine Palms. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
