About: I've had dogs my entire adult life. My last dog was a special girl and didn't get along with other dogs so when I went to work I hired someone to visit and hang out with her and I called that person her "friend for hire". I'd love to be your pets friend for hire. In addition to having my own dogs I have been a volunteer with a local shelter for the past year. I have experience with dog handling, walking, training, medical recovery, some medication administration, and general playing/loving/cuddling. I have experience with special needs dogs, untrained dogs, unsocialized dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and even some mess dogs. I also grew up with cats and started my volunteer work "socializing" with cats and kittens. I love all the furry little friends! I currently make my own schedule as a personal trainer so I am flexible and available to meet your dog's needs. Weekdays or weekends are available. Want to go for a hike or rock climbing? I've got your furry friend covered. As someone who had an aggressive dog I understand that it can be challenging trusting someone new with your pet. You know your animal best and I will listen and adhere to any/all boundaries you have for their health and enjoyment.
About: As a lifelong animal lover, I’ve had the incredible privilege of caring for a wide variety of pets. From a hamster, gerbil, guinea pig, and rabbit to ducks, four cats, and three amazing dogs, my home has always been full of furry (and feathered) friends. Two of my beloved dogs, Frank and Ginger, taught me the importance of patience and attentive care, as they both required daily medications—Frank for a heart condition and Ginger for allergies. It wasn’t always easy, especially with Ginger's picky eating habits, but with dedication, we made every day count. These experiences have deepened my passion for ensuring animals feel safe, loved, and well cared for. Currently, I’m a proud dog mom to Tanner, a four-year-old rescue from Desert Hot Springs and Tiki, a three-year-old local rescue. They are my loyal companions, road trip sidekicks, and hiking partners. In addition to my hands-on experience, I’m also certified in small animal massage from the Northwest School of Animal Massage, which I completed in February 2023. I've grown up with 5+ dogs in my lifetime and taken care of dogs and cats of every kind and size since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me with their pets while they were on vacation to walk, feed, and administering their medication (both orally and injections) to their pets. I've taken animal CPR and have lots of experience with senior care with three senior dogs. I’m current attending college at CSULB but I am available in the mornings and evenings for drop in visits. For overnight or extended stays I am available Sunday-Saturday. I will care for them in your home and follow the instructions given to feed and drop in visits. If they are allowed outside, I will go outside with them and keep an eye on them both day and night. I will never let them outside on their own due to safety reasons. If discussed and allowed to housesit, I will keep your pets company for hours doing my quiet hobbies (Reading, drawing, etc.) since my pets tend to dislike being alone in the house for long periods of time.
