“Our german shepherd Aggy had such a fun time with Juliann during her house sitting stay! Aggy felt so comfortable with her and it was great to know she was taken such good care of while we we gone for the week. Thank you Juliann!!”

About: Hey there! I'd love the opportunity to care for your pets while you're away or take them out when you're too busy. I live with my own little crew of three cats and one dog and have fostered and cared for other animals over the years. I'm located in Yucca Valley on the mesa and have experience working and volunteering with cat and dog rescue groups, including handling large breeds and recently rescued dogs. I can provide walking, pet-sitting in your home, and active play for any size dog. I'm highly responsible, attentive, and punctual, and sensitive to pets with special needs or quirks. I love getting to know individual animals and catering to their personalities and needs. Medication, special needs, senior pets ok!
“If you came over per my late request, please send it to me. I was driving all day until four, so I had very little time to talk on the phone. FYI, I saw oil in the driveway. I thought it was mine at first, but I would get yours checked if you can. Your car could be experiencing an oil/ATF leak. Have a great Holiday, and may you get a lot of gifts! I am sure I'll be contacting you soon.”

“Donna was fantastic with Tesse. She stayed with Tesse, in our home, for five days and Donna sent us daily photos and updates. She took her out daily and Tesse strongly bonded with Donna. Donna treated our home as her own and when we returned the home and dog were cleaner and happier than when we left. She also took care or our 30 year old water turtle and contacted us when “Leonardo”had an episode. I cannot imagine a better home pet sitter than Donna. She will be my first choice for any future sitting needs.”

“Liz is incredibly loving and knowledgeable about dogs. My dog has separation anxiety and she was well aware of his possible behavior and addressed Latte with compassion and guidance! She is a gem!”

About: I have so much love and patience for all kinds of animals. I grew up with 8 Saint Bernards. Had birds as well and an Appaloosa horse. I currently live in a home with 4 cats ( one of them is my own baby), 5 birds and a snake. I am comfortable with any type of animal. I am a caregiver through IHSS with Aging and Adult Services. I care for people who need extra help. I am wanting to do farm work as well. Would love to get hands on experience and learn the ways to care for farm animals. Even though I am a caregiver I will make time for your furbaby. What ever it may be I will accommodate your needs. Your baby is and will be in safe hands. I will be caring for them in your home. Whether its a daily check up or overnight. First thing is that I will not let your baby out where they are not allowed to go. I do feeding schedules and also make sure there is time for play and cuddle moments. I also am very comfortable administrating medicine.
“I’m so happy I found BReN to watch my kitty and home for a few days while we were out of town. I received daily pictures of a happy kitty and came home to a house that looked just as clean or cleaner than I had left it. I feel so confortable with BReN that I’m about to book her for my next trip.”

About: I have a wide variety of experience. Fostering shelter animals, caring for day old baby kittens. I've had ferrets and most everything else. Except I'm not fond of snakes. I will leave the area better then when I arrived.

“Chantelle took lovely care of our beloved kitty who needed extra kindness having recently been neutered. We spoil our kitty so wanted someone to stay overnights as well and Chantelle did and sent lots of cute pics of our kitty throughout our trip away. Would highly recommend her. She knows lots about cats and how to take great care of them which was comforting while we were away. Will definitely ask her to kitty sit again 🐈⬛ 🥰”

“We LOVE Emily. She was super sweet and willing to come meet Miller beforehand and took the time to listen our routines and play with Miller. She was on time and extremely communicative which we appreciated so much. We hope to see Emily again soon!!”

“Layla was great and we would definitely book her again. She was great with the dogs and did a great job taking care of Rocky even with the extra care and medicine he needed. She left the house just as we left it and was great at providing updates and pictures throughout the week.”

About: I had a wonderful Husky growing up, He was always bursting with energy and personality, eager to run, explore, and snuggle up next to me whenever the day ended. Having him around taught me responsibility, patience, and just how strong the bond between a person and a dog can be. After high school, I adopted a Rottweiler of my own. Raising him from a young age helped me understand training, structure, and daily care better. Soon after, my mom needed some help with her cat, so I welcomed him into my home. For a while, I had both a dog and a cat living together—learning to balance their different personalities, needs, and routines. Later, when my husband and I moved into our own place, we added another furry family member—a sweet Corgi who joined us about two years later. Each pet has brought something special into my life and has helped me grow as a caregiver. I’ve gained hands-on experience with both dogs and cats—from energetic working breeds to loyal guardians and independent, affectionate cats. Caring for them isn’t just about feeding and walks—it’s about building trust, comfort, and a little friendship along the way. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine since I work part-time with very flexible hours. I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks, and check-ins, whether they’re early mornings, midday, or evenings. Because I manage my own time, I can give pets consistent attention, unrushed care, and plenty of love throughout the week. I care for pets in my home and yours with the same level of love, patience, and attention I give my own. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and cozy environment where they can relax, play, and feel like part of the family. I adhere strictly to their regular routines—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bedtime habits—to ensure their security and comfort. In your home, I respect their space and maintain their familiar routine to minimize stress. I move at their pace, especially with shy or anxious pets, building trust through gentle interactions, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Whether it’s energetic playtime or quiet cuddles, I prioritize making each pet feel safe, understood, and truly cared for.

About: Hello, my name is Seana, my experience comes from having grown up with pets of many kinds, both my own and others. I can feed, bathe, clean up after, walk and play with your dog. There may be times where I may need to bring another dog with me, so if you could please let me know how your dog is with others, then I can arrange accordingly. To contact me I would appreciate a phone call to arrange a meet up. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you and your pet soon. I am currently job hunting, so I am always home with plenty of time to care for your beloved pets. I only ask to arrange a meet and greet before a service is booked. I live in a house on 5 acres of unfenced land. I do have a cat of my own so overnights will have to be at my home, otherwise I am flexible.
About: I’m a reliable, caring pet sitter who keeps routines consistent, provides personalized attention, ensures pets feel safe and comfortable, and gives plenty of love, playtime, and companionship. Pet care is part of my daily routine. I have two cats myself, so I prioritize consistent visits, feeding, walks, and attention to keep pets comfortable and safe. While I am not offering boarding or day care at my own home at this time, I am quite responsible in my treatment of other people's property while caring for their pets. I can follow directions, keep gates closed, and follow safety protocols.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Landers
We were grateful to have Monica house sit our two dogs (one of them reactive) for over a week. She had great communication, was friendly, and went out of her way to spend extra time and clean up accidents when one of our dogs was going through separation anxiety. She offered peace of mind while we were away and would happily recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Landers on Rover is $52.73 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Landers walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Landers maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Landers choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Landers. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
