I’m not sure he really wanted to come home to be honest. That said, she bathed him the day I picked him up, He came home a better dog than when I dropped him off. Don’t get me wrong, he was a fine dog at drop off. But being with Alice and her dogs helped him to grow up, and she even trained him with a few new commands. She has natural mesquite sticks for the dogs to chew on, got them extra toys, you name it she is a dream. If you want to not only not worry about your dog, but know that your dog is having a joyous and loving wonderful experience, Alice should be your choice. I drove away with my dog, wanting to travel more so that he could spend more time there. I don’t think there’s any higher praise than that.”

About: I am happiest around my four legged friends! I have both Doggie CPR and First Aid Certifications. I have worked and lived on a Doggie Ranch in Monterey and have recently moved to yucca valley. I have experience with all breeds, administering medicine, excersizing, training and grooming. I am available most days and times and can set up a regular schedule for walks and drop ins. I want this to be my lifes work, I absolutely love animals. I am currently working on setting up my own boarding / daycare. Coming late summer 2025 I am happy to care for your pets in thier own environment for the least amount of stress. I can be there as much as needed or do multiple drop ins while your out of town.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for the last 40 years—my own & others. I’m great with energetic dogs. Have also taken care of cats & birds & donkeys. I’m an author working on my second book, so my time is flexible. I have two dogs of my own but they don’t mind if I hang out with other animals. “My dogs loved hanging out at Shawna’s! We were in town visiting from the east coast for a friend’s wedding. Shawna helped me out by watching Maeby and Merle overnight while I was attending the wedding. It was their first ever sleepover without me, so I was a little nervous. Shawna made me feel at ease by discussing expectations before the trip. Once I dropped the dogs off at Shawna’s I knew they were in great hands! Her space is so dog friendly and spacious. She updated us with videos and photos and even gave us the cutest hand written doggy report card afterwards! I would definitely bring my dogs there again next time I am in town! “Hugh and Mary are true dog lovers and they respond messages very fast. We were invited for a house tour upon arrival with warm welcome. There is a very lovely backyard with plenty of space and fun stuff for my 4 yr old corgi to explore. It was just one night stay at Big bear lake but they sent me plenty of photos and updates on him. I can feel he had a wonderful cabin experience while we can’t have him with us at the cabin we stayed. Definitely recommend!”

About: I absolutely love cats and dogs. I grew up raising/training labs and German shepherds. I currently have 3 fur babies; my oldest shepherd is actually from my families last litter and our youngest shepherd is a rescue although you wouldn’t know it since they act like siblings. Our cat is also a rescue and prefers to stay out of sight from the dogs but is super friendly and talkative when he meets new people. I had a chocolate lab and took care of him until he was 14. (Diapers , shots, oral medication, you name it he and we probably went through it together) if you have a senior dog I am more than happy to help with any extra care that comes along. I’ve raised all my fur babies (with the exception of our cat) from the puppy stages to the elderly stages. I recently moved here and spend 24/7 with my fur babies so I figured why not spend time with more fur babies! I’m currently available Monday to Friday any time. We do allow the fur babies on the furniture and have a small patio that is fenced in so the dogs can go potty when it’s too hot to walk. We also have a small pool that we regularly set up for the dogs in the back so they can play outside in the heat (supervised). I take my dog on walks before the sun starts cooking us and when the sun goes down to stretch their legs. I can take the dogs to the park and play with them as well😊.
