“We had a great experience with Lacey! My dogs loved being with her and her pack and they came back very happy and very tired :p The property is adapted for the dog needs. Lacey is very flexible and adjustable with the schedule. And she took us with a very short notice. We will use her every time we are in the area.”

“We miss Ashley! She took great care of our dogs whenever we needed to leave town. She truly spoiled them and treated them as her own. They also enjoyed playing with her dogs and running around her backyard. Highly recommend if you’re in the 29/JT area or even vacationing out there.”
“Larry took great care of our pet. This is my first time using a sitter instead of boarding and she was much happier and received his undivided attention. Lots of photos and great communication.”

“Rejoice was great while watching my pup Chloe over the holidays! This was my first time leaving my baby over night let alone with a stranger, but she made me comfortable with a meet and greet with her cute pup Zara and she was very flexible and accommodating. Would definitely recommend her and would definitely book again!”

“This was my first time using rover, I was desperate and really needed someone to watch my sainty because I was going out of town last minute. Luckily Jen was available and treated Saint like he was a part of the family, constantly sent pictures and videos and updates and really just showed Saint a lot of love. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future.Thank youu Jen <3”

“My family rented a house in yucca valley and my dog was too big to stay there. Salina was the perfect solution! Her house is centrally located and pick up and drop off was super easy. Salina was very understanding of Millie’s curiosity and she took great care of her. I got pictures and updates and Millie even got introduced to her new favorite toy. Would recommend and would use again”

About: Hello I am Roxi! I am a military spouse and I can’t wait to take care of your fur babies. I have two of my own and they are family. I will treat yours the same. They came from the California desert so we’ve been through the transition of new homes. I’ve home sat and dropped in on dogs for a few years. If there is any questions or needs you need accommodated please let me know. I administer medications by mouth or in food. Clean up poop. Feed food and water. Pet and love on them. And I’d be happy to make your pet feel at home with the time I’m with them. Thank you and I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby soon!
About: Both of us grew up with pets in our homes; some of our fondest memories include time spent with our animals. Tristan has had dogs ranging from a little Chihuahua to a Great Dane, while Adeline had a series of high-energy mixes, as well as a couple mellow cats. We watched many of our friends' animals prior to adopting our pup George about a year ago, and have loved creating a forever home for him! We both are self-employed, and frequently work from home throughout the week. This flexibility allows us to be attentive with breaks and walks, and ensures that our pup and yours won't be left alone for too long each day. We have a fenced-in yard and live in a very walkable area near a park. We love to take walks and play with our dog, and will treat yours with the same amount of attention and care!
“Luz took wonderful care of my dear friend Nico. Luz was responsive to messaging, accommodating to my changing schedule, and sent daily pictures my happy dog. She will definitely be my first choice the next time I need someone to watch Nico in this area!”

“Alexis is a phenomenal sitter!! She sent so many updates for our Conrad and followed all instructions for him perfectly! I'm so thrilled with the love she provided him during his stay and I felt at ease knowing he was in great hands! I highly recommend Alexis! We will be bringing Conrad back next time we are in the palms springs area!”

About: I have always grownup with dogs. I currently own 3 dogs and I love being outdoors. Adventures with my pets are always amazing. I feel great joy anytime I hangout with pets. I currently work as an electrical designer engineer. I also run an Airbnb with my partner and we both do Rover together. I work from home Wednesday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday my schedule is flexible. I have a fully fenced home this includes the front of house as well. The outside of the house has cameras to ensure the property is safe. We also have outdoor lighting. We also have two separate backyards one for our pets and the other for your furry friends.
“Landon was great with my dog. He was respectful and considerate of all my requests. He kepted me informed of all they did. Landon is well versed in dealing with small and large breeds. My dog was very well cared for as if it was his dog. I will highly recommend Landon and we will definitely be booking him again!”
About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, and have been a huge animal lover my whole life. I’ve always been a sitter for friends and family in need and figured I might as well expand my services. I have a big home and yard, with plenty of grass and room to run. Our home is very pet friendly, and they pretty much are free to roam as they please. My husband and I keep the home clean, but cozy. We have kids, cats, and dogs and everyone gets along. We keep the upstairs blocked off so the cats have their own space to play and relax. There are tile floors for a cool place to nap, dog beds, cat trees, and plenty of toys. I’m a nurse and CPR certified, so your fur baby is safe with me. I only ask that your pet is friendly, and if you have a dog that they are a minimal barker as we like to keep our neighbors happy. I can help with potty training, bathing, and medicines too…whatever your pet needs. All you need to provide is your pets favorite food. I’ll take care of the rest. I work part time as a nurse, usually during the nights and my husband is a stay at home dad. I have plenty of time and energy to devote to your fur baby. I have a large home and yard with plenty of grass. There are also several dog parks within our community for your fur baby to play.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sunfair Heights.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
