“Was our first time using Chloe and she stayed 4 days with our fur baby! We were so happy with her and she spoiled him with daily walks, cuddles and playtime! She sent pictures of him and he always looked so happy with her. She went beyond what we asked and came home to a happy boy and a clean house. ( which wasn’t expected)”

“Suzie was a great dog sitter! She watched Chipper for 2 nights and I felt very comfortable with the updates and pictures she sent!! Suzie was very nice and took great care of Chipper!! She also kept out place near and tidy. I definitely recommend Suzie and would book her again without question!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was born. I’ve been raised with them and i’ve always seen how they can positively affect the mental state of those around. Therefore, i’d love to get any chance I get, to take care and love other animals just as much as I love my own! I am available majority of the days in the evening past 3:30. Weekends and Friday for the most part are basically fully opened. I just work my schedule around school and sports. At the moment I take care of my 2 dogs and cat inside of a town house. Therefore I do not have access to a yard so I walk them all together. I walk them every 2-3 hours and feed them in the morning and night with a mid day snack. For stimulation for the pets i’ve taught them how to use speaking buttons and I give them treat puzzles when giving their midday snack.
“Averie did a great job pet setting for our 18 year old dog Remy. She provided a calm, nurturing presence for him that made him feel comfortable. I would highly recommended Averie for house sitting/pet sitting.”

“Felicity was great in watching my two dogs! she always updated me about how my dogs were doing while i was away for the weekend. and she kept me posted about the home as well. thank you!”

“We were so happy with Cambria! We were grateful to have someone caring for our puppies on the Fourth of July evening. It gave us such peace of mind, and we truly appreciate her. We look forward to contacting Cambria again in the future! 🐾❤️”

About: I love all animals and though I am a BIG time cat lover, I’ve also been lucky enough to raise multiple puppy litters with my family. I have my own kitty and puppy now, and have been taking care of family friends animals as a side job for roughly 2 years now! I am currently working a part-time nursing assistant job and so I have ample time on my hands to hangout with all the furry cuties you have, typically throughout the weekdays. I take lots of pride in making sure all pets are safe and cared for, and I’m more than comfortable with crates, fences, etc. to ensure their well-being.
About: I have been caring for dogs for most of my life and have 3 years of experience pet sitting for friends, family and community members. I have experience with various dog breeds at all different life stages, all with widely varying needs. I truly love connecting with, being with and caring for animals and derive great satisfaction from developing loving relationships with furry friends. With me, you can rest assured that your loved ones are taken care of with attentiveness, kindness and reverence. I work part-time and am typically unavailable from 1-6pm Monday-Friday. Outside of that time I am happy to be with and care for your loved ones! I only pet-sit in other's homes due to having my own pets. I love people just as much as animals, and as such, do my best to respect other's space, property and boundaries. I abide by campground rules in life meaning I do my best to always leave a space just as I found it, if not better off. I believe communication is very important and I like to connect with clients to discuss all expectations and boundaries in regard to both their animals and their home.

About: Hello! I’ve been caring for dogs for many years. I truly love working with dogs and making sure they receive the care, attention, and affection they deserve. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make sure they feel happy and comfortable while you’re away. Currently, I am employed full-time. On my days off, such as Mondays and Fridays, I am available to provide quality care to your fur baby. I had a friendly female dog who was eight years old. She loved to play and be around other dogs. I encouraged her to play in the backyard or go for potty breaks. The backyard was fully fenced and spacious enough for her to run around and play with her toys.
“It was immediately obvious that Amy has had dogs in her entire life. Both of my pups immediately loved her as if they had been good buddies forever. DOGS JUST KNOW! Jojo, the 1 year old Cocker Spaniel, always freaks out with new people, but not with Amy. The 6 1/2 year old German Shepherd, Princess, acted like she had known Amy her whole life.”

“Valeria was super easy to work with and communicated well. She was attentive and thoughtful while watching our dog. Would definitely recommend and will rebook for pup's sitting in the future”

I understand that pets are family, and my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels, including active dogs who love walks and playtime, as well as pets who need extra patience or special attention. I currently work per diem as a Registered Nurse, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I’m able to accommodate a variety of needs, including drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, so walks, playtime, and enrichment are a natural part of my routine. I’m committed to providing consistent, dependable care and keeping your pet’s normal routine as close to home as possible while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. About: I grew up with 3 dogs in my home and would feed and walk them. Over the years, friends have trusted me to care for their pets. I love dogs and someday when I finish up school, will have my own! Would love to give your doggos lots of love and of course exercise 🎉 I am an early riser so happy to walk dogs early morning before I head to campus. Currently in the mid city area of LA I love dogs and will do my absolute best to abide by any specifications provided by owners. I want to make you and your beloved dog to feel safe and comfortable with my care.
“I am so happy we had Cadence dog sit for us! She is so professional and sent us updates and pictures. I felt completely comfortable and safe leaving her with our dog. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to ask Cadence to sit for us again; she was fantastic. Our dog was clearly a happy gal!”

“Annalise is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter. She maintained excellent communication with us and even sent several photos. She asked permission for Darla to go to her house ( only a mile away) to meet her dogs and Darla loved this! When we returned home, our house was just as we left it. She is great!”

About: I am a college student and water polo coach. I grew up in a family with 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits and a few hamsters here and there. I have spent most of my life around fostering puppies and kittens, rescuing animals, and pet sitting. I have a dog with a weepy eye so am used to wiping and putting eye drops in. I am not squeamish when it comes to cleaning up messes and having to give medication. I am looking forward to meeting more fur babies! I am a full time college student, but with half my classes online which gives me flexibility. I am currently in the off-season for coaching water polo, so I only coach 2-3 times per week for a couple hours which gives me plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I will make sure meeting your pet prior to watching them is a priority. I want to make sure your pet feels comfortable with me. I want your pet to have as much play time and activity as possible. I will treat them as my own!
“Lindsey was incredible with our fur babies! She was very attentive to their needs including caring for one of our pups that was in heat. She was very thorough in learning their schedules and how to best care for them. She sent great updates and pictures. Will definitely be booking Lindsay again! 😁”

Susana is a fantastic sitter!! She is very attentive, puntual, and paid abosulte attention to my pup's needs while she was with them. I really appreciate here flexibility and her willingness to get to know my pup's quirks and cater to their needs. I would highly reccomnd her to family and friends as i can tell she also has a passion for pets.

Air did an amazing job watching our two small dogs (and house) while we were away for a week. We were able to relax on our trip knowing that our dogs were relaxed and happy at our home with Air watching them. She provided lots of great photos and updates that gave us piece of mind. Our 2 dogs can be slow to warm up to people (especially my older, deaf dog) but they quickly loved Air. We came back to happy dogs and a clean home. I will definitely be using her services again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Ashley is a perfect house and pet sitter. We have worked with Ashley a number of times and she is always good and reliable. The dogs are well cared for and content we come back. She sends updates each day with photos of the dogs. We don't worry about anything when we are gone.
They did a great job of watching my dogs for me in my home. The dogs loved them immediately and wanted to spend the entire time playing or cuddled up with them. They were also really quick to respond to my last minute message requesting a booking. I really appreciate them being able to watch them and doing such a great job. I would book again.

We had such a great experience with Sarah! She stayed at our home for four nights with our senior pup, Kuma, and I truly couldn’t have asked for better care. Kuma requires medication and specific feeding instructions, and she handled everything thoughtfully and responsibly. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing our older girl was in capable hands. She sent regular updates, communicated clearly throughout the stay, and took wonderful care of both Kuma and our home. You can tell she’s attentive and genuinely cares about the animals she watches. I would absolutely have her back in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter.

We loved Abby as well as our Dog Charlie. It was our first time using her but we immediately felt she would be the perfect fit. She was sweet, smart and very respectful. I could tell she loved animals. When you leave your pet with a stranger you worry about them but I could sense that our dog felt very comfortable with her. When we returned home after being gone 3 days she left a nice note and had done the laundry. That was really above and beyond.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Redlands walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Redlands maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Redlands choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Redlands. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
