“What a blessing Emily is to us! We had to make plans unexpectedly to go to the Philippines to attend my father’s sister’s memorial services. Emily came to my mind immediately! I absolutely trust her to take excellent care of Snowbell, my super senior cat. Emily delivered greatly as usual! She is my favorite!!!! Emily is the ultimate cat whisperer!!”

About: I am a dedicated weekend volunteer at a dog shelter, where I work hands-on with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My experience includes basic obedience training, socialization, and leash handling, as well as administering various types of medications. I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs, from small breeds to a 180-pound Great Dane and a 100-pound Cane Corso puppy. I’ve also provided care for dogs with special needs, including one with only three legs. In addition to my volunteer work, I have two small dogs of my own, which has further strengthened my understanding of canine behavior and care. I am passionate about animal welfare and committed to providing every dog with the attention, patience, and care they deserve. I am currently a college student so currently i dont have any pet responsibilities. But, i've grown up surrounded by dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, which has given me a deep understanding and love for working with them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs with a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies to slow-moving seniors, and even dogs with disabilities who need a little extra patience and care. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, walk schedules, and any special care your pet needs. I keep the space clean, secure, and calm, and I always spend quality time giving them attention, affection, and exercise. I also make sure to keep you updated with daily photos and messages for peace of mind.

About: I have been caring for dogs for most of my life and have 3 years of experience pet sitting for friends, family and community members. I have experience with various dog breeds at all different life stages, all with widely varying needs. I truly love connecting with, being with and caring for animals and derive great satisfaction from developing loving relationships with furry friends. With me, you can rest assured that your loved ones are taken care of with attentiveness, kindness and reverence. I work part-time and am typically unavailable from 1-6pm Monday-Friday. Outside of that time I am happy to be with and care for your loved ones! I only pet-sit in other's homes due to having my own pets. I love people just as much as animals, and as such, do my best to respect other's space, property and boundaries. I abide by campground rules in life meaning I do my best to always leave a space just as I found it, if not better off. I believe communication is very important and I like to connect with clients to discuss all expectations and boundaries in regard to both their animals and their home.

About: Hello! I’ve been caring for dogs for many years. I truly love working with dogs and making sure they receive the care, attention, and affection they deserve. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make sure they feel happy and comfortable while you’re away. Currently, I am employed full-time. On my days off, such as Mondays and Fridays, I am available to provide quality care to your fur baby. I had a friendly female dog who was eight years old. She loved to play and be around other dogs. I encouraged her to play in the backyard or go for potty breaks. Annalise has cared for our puppy so well! She even took the time to clean up the messes he made while we were gone. She took so many photos and gave us updates making us feel reassured that he was in good hands. She gave him so much love and we will definitely be rebooking her!

Susana was fantastic! Beforehand, she came over for a meet and greet and was great with our dog and cat. They were well cared for the day of the drop-in and she took great care of our senior dog and her medication needs. We are absolutely looking forward to being repeat clients.

Sarah is so incredible with my sweet kitty, Stella! We were recently out for just over a week and Sarah was great with checking in on Stella and giving her tons of love! We even had an unwelcome visit from ants while away and Sarah went above and beyond on helping to solve the problem! I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

I booked Harrison to come over and give my great big dog a bath while our friend was house-sitting (and she was not comfortable with doing it). He tried to confirm a couple things but could not reach me (we were river rafting out of town w/o cell reception) but he showed up and worked it out. I appreciate his follow-through.

This was our first time using the app and having Loren take care of our dog was an exceptional experience. Loren was accommodating, friendly, communicative, and she knew what she was doing. Our dog has a big personality that didn't prove to be a challenge for Loren, I would definitely rebook again in the future! Thank you!

Kaitlyn and Jesse were absolutely wonderful!! They cared for our sweet dogs as if they were their own!! One of our adopted dogs has a hard history and Kaitlyn and Jesse were so good with him…he warmed up to them and trusted them over the course of the booking. They were so good at letting us know each day how our sweet dogs were doing and sent fun pictures!! We also live in the countryside and had a scare with some local fires. Kaitlyn and Jesse were quick to make contact with us and tentatively plan for how to keep our dogs safe! They are so kind and friendly!! We were so happy we got connected with them through Rover and will look forward to booking with them for future times!!

CJ did a great job with the cats while I was gone for 10 days. He was able to come twice a day and hang out with them and give them the attention they needed. He updated me on everything and was easy to communicate with. He also shared great pictures from each visit! I came home to two happy cats.

This is the 3rd time we’ve had Diana take care of our cats… she always does such an amazing job. Always attentive and caring. She’s very patient with our more difficult cat. Diana has great communication, and always keeps us updated with what’s happening and is very responsive. We highly recommend her, and hope she can continue to take care of our pets in the future!!

Great experience! ⭐️🐾🩵 She was very attentive and caring with my dogs. She kept me updated, took them on a nice walk around the complex, and even made sure to dry them off after the rain. I really appreciated the extra care and attention. Would definitely book again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
