“Diana looked after our kitties when we went out of town. She made sure they had food and water, cleaned their litter boxes, loved on them, and helped take care of the house when our mini ac unit was leaking. She did more than was required of a pet sitter ❤️”

“Jenny did a great job coming by and checking on our cats. she was prompt, reliable and sent multiple pictures of my kitties looking happy and comfortable with her. she was super helpful and communicative and we would definitely use her again!”

“Beverly was an awesome cat sitter for our drop in visits. She cared exactly what we care about with our cats - them staying safe and comfy! She was thorough in locating them and providing photos and updates. We’ll definitely be partnering again!”

“Greg was great with two girls! (Cats) He was able to send me updates daily with pictures, even of my shy girl who hides(sleeps) under the covers. Will definitely being using him again.”

“Thank you Caroline for doing a great job taking care of our cats! It is obvious that you have a genuine love for these precious fur babies by how they warm up to you and trust you!”

“Our dogs love Elizabeth! She spent time with them while were out of town for the day and brought us great peace of mind knowing they’d receive love, care and playtime while we were out. She shared photos and an update to keep us in the loop, and our pups just adore her.”

“Carol was awesome! Super easy to talk to at our "meet and greet," she's open about her experience caring for all sorts of animals which helped us feel at ease knowing she could easily handle our two dogs. We look forward to rebooking with her! We could tell by the photos from the visit that our two dogs enjoyed hanging out with her!”

“James took great, thorough care of our Wolfie over the holidays. We were able to rest easy knowing he was in good hands. We highly recommend James to watch your furry loved ones!! 🩷”
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is there is no debate with me when it comes to which is better, cats or dogs. I just love taking care of your fur babies! Plus I have dealt with older animals and understand what comes with handling them. Pet care fits in my routine perfectly! This and college will blend in perfectly in my day to day routine getting me where I need to be! I unfortunately cannot have any dogs or cats in my home, because there already are 4 dogs plus a cat in the home that I take care of. But I am willing to stay and take care of your pets in your home.
“Shawna helped me during a family emergency and I’m so grateful for her empathy and her sense of responsibility when caring for pets. I’m eternally grateful that she made time for my cat today.”
“Larissa was very professional, consistent, and thorough. Not a moments hesitation would there be to hire her again. Her communication was superb, as was her overall pet care and attention to detail. And I could tell from all the photos of my Kitty… that she agreed wholeheartedly, as well. A very happy little girl!”

“Katie is an awesome caretaker! She set up a meet and greet right away, and was kind and attentive to our two older dogs, one of whom is blind and needs extra assistance and love. We were super grateful she was able to accept our emergency request for drop-in visits, and we will certainly invite her back again next time we need a sitter. Thank you so much!”

“BReN saved me when I had to leave home last minute due to a family emergency and I needed someone to check on my baby girl Xochitl while I was away. I received several photos of kitty being very social and affectionate upon BReN’s arrival. She also made sure to leave extra food and water since the power had gone out in other parts of town due to high winds. I’m so grateful to have someone who cares so much about animals who can care for Xochitl.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13. I’ve volunteered at no kill shelters and kennels for 5 years. I currently have two fur babies now (both rescues) and my mother always had about 8 in her home. I’ve taken care of dogs from tea cup to Great Danes. I also have cared for dogs with diabetes, who were blind, and have cerebral palsy. I work full time (Mon -Fri) in the lower dessert, live in JT. I’m home around 4/4:30pm each day. Of course your baby will be the first one that I see once I’m off of work and before I go into work. As a dedicated pet caregiver, I prioritize each animal's well-being and comfort while following your specific instructions. I ensure they receive regular feeding, fresh water, and ample exercise through walks or playtime. I’m attentive to their unique needs, whether it’s administering medication, maintaining a routine, or simply providing companionship. I also keep their environment clean and safe, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Your pets are not just animals; they’re family, and I’ll treat them with the love and care they deserve!

About: Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. I have a very large yard with lots of open space to run and play. The fence is 6ft tall, so hard to jump over. I have a 15 year old fixed female lab mix, Bella. She gets along with other dogs but mostly keeps to herself and isn’t interested in playing. I also have a 7 year old beagle lab mix, male, also fixed, Winston. Winston LOVES to play but also recognizes when someone does not. I work locally and my day is flexible which allows for many potty breaks and time outside. My family lives local so I rarely go out of town. I am more than happy to meet with you and your pet ahead of time as well. Hello! I would love to welcome your pet into my home. I live in a very safe neighborhood right next to 49 Palms Oasis in 29. About: I had a wonderful Husky growing up, He was always bursting with energy and personality, eager to run, explore, and snuggle up next to me whenever the day ended. Having him around taught me responsibility, patience, and just how strong the bond between a person and a dog can be. After high school, I adopted a Rottweiler of my own. Raising him from a young age helped me understand training, structure, and daily care better. Soon after, my mom needed some help with her cat, so I welcomed him into my home. For a while, I had both a dog and a cat living together—learning to balance their different personalities, needs, and routines. Later, when my husband and I moved into our own place, we added another furry family member—a sweet Corgi who joined us about two years later. Each pet has brought something special into my life and has helped me grow as a caregiver. I’ve gained hands-on experience with both dogs and cats—from energetic working breeds to loyal guardians and independent, affectionate cats. Caring for them isn’t just about feeding and walks—it’s about building trust, comfort, and a little friendship along the way. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine since I work part-time with very flexible hours. I’m able to plan my schedule around visits, walks, and check-ins, whether they’re early mornings, midday, or evenings. Because I manage my own time, I can give pets consistent attention, unrushed care, and plenty of love throughout the week. I care for pets in my home and yours with the same level of love, patience, and attention I give my own. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and cozy environment where they can relax, play, and feel like part of the family. I adhere strictly to their regular routines—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bedtime habits—to ensure their security and comfort. In your home, I respect their space and maintain their familiar routine to minimize stress. I move at their pace, especially with shy or anxious pets, building trust through gentle interactions, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Whether it’s energetic playtime or quiet cuddles, I prioritize making each pet feel safe, understood, and truly cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Yucca Valley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
