About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities for over 6 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and check in on their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, responsible, and love making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I also have experience with energetic dogs and keeping pets on their regular routines. I have a flexible schedule and make pet care a priority in my daily routine. I’m available for check-ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and overnight care depending on your pet’s needs. I always make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and care while their owners are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any routines your pet is used to. I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free in their own environment while keeping owners updated with messages and photos.
“Katherine was great. She filled a last minute need for us over the holiday weekend. She asked a lot of questions - which was great - to make sure we were on the same page. I would definitely hire her again.”

“Just had a meet and greet with James. Really respectful and professional! He took the time to listen to our concerns and started to introduce himself to our dog Mae. I couldn’t have been more impressed and glad I contacted his for our first experience with Rover”

About: I’ve been taking care of grand-dogs and grand-cats, neighbors pets, friends pets and my own on three continents over many years. From walks on the beach to hanging out on the couch watching otter tv, I love spending time with my favorite canines and felines. I am currently available for pet visits on Wednesday through Sunday. I can visit, play or walk with your pet between 10 am and 4 pm. I am happy to look after your pet in your home, providing play time, feeding, outside time or other activities to help keep your pet safe, happy and healthy.
About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats, and have been a huge animal lover my whole life. I’ve always been a sitter for friends and family in need and figured I might as well expand my services. I have a big home and yard, with plenty of grass and room to run. Our home is very pet friendly, and they pretty much are free to roam as they please. My husband and I keep the home clean, but cozy. We have kids, cats, and dogs and everyone gets along. We keep the upstairs blocked off so the cats have their own space to play and relax. There are tile floors for a cool place to nap, dog beds, cat trees, and plenty of toys. I’m a nurse and CPR certified, so your fur baby is safe with me. I only ask that your pet is friendly, and if you have a dog that they are a minimal barker as we like to keep our neighbors happy. I can help with potty training, bathing, and medicines too…whatever your pet needs. All you need to provide is your pets favorite food. I’ll take care of the rest. I work part time as a nurse, usually during the nights and my husband is a stay at home dad. I have plenty of time and energy to devote to your fur baby. I have a large home and yard with plenty of grass. There are also several dog parks within our community for your fur baby to play.

About: I've grown up with dogs, taking care of them regularly. Living in the desert has equipped me with the skills to care for animals in a harsh climate such as constantly providing water, scheduling walks out of the heat, and watching out for wildlife. I also volunteered at an animal shelter while I was in high school where I learned more about the needs of various animals, learning that each have their own personality! I'm currently home for the summer from college, so my hours are very flexible. I am available weekdays and weekends to help with feeding, walking, and just hanging out with your pets! I can easily commute to your home to care for your pet. I'm here to adapt to their needs and ensure that they are happy and healthy!
About: New to Rover, but not new to pet care! I’ve had dogs and cats at home my entire life and have spent two years pet sitting for four large dogs. I’m also a proud dog mom to a sassy, slightly reactive dachshund, which has taught me the importance of patience, calm energy, and being aware of each dog’s unique triggers and needs. I always prioritize safety, trust, and making pets feel comfortable and cared for. I am a graduate student at UCLA back at home for the summer. I am available throughout the week and on weekends with at least one week's advance notice. When caring for pets in their home, I follow each owner’s instructions to provide safe, comfortable, and consistent care. On walks, I stay alert to my surroundings and prioritize calm, safe leash handling for every dog. I will treat your pet like if it is my own.
About: NOTICE AVAILABILITY HAS CHANGED (Fully available on Thursdays and Fridays, Saturday-Wednesday only available after 2pm due to work schedule. Apologies for the inconveniences) I’m still quite new to this but I have a few munchkins of my own to know how to handle them. I’ve done some pet sitting when I was younger and found it to be a lot of fun. I want to be more active so walking your pets is perfect for us both! I’ve lived with animals my whole life so I have so much compassion for them. I have a lot of patience and love for them all. I would love for you to have trust in me to do my best for your pet. I know I have little experience but a lifetime of caring for animals; big and small. I am currently a part time server so my schedule is always changing, I mostly work nights most days. The days i’m off and available I’ll be able to be around as many hours as needed. Weekends are unsure depending on my schedule, if anything I’d be available in the mornings and late nights. I unfortunately can’t board any pets at my home. My own pets are all inside pet’s except my dogs of course, my dogs have a fenced in backyard and go on daily walks themselves. My pups are 4 years old but aren’t fully socialized to other dogs so I wouldn’t feel 100% safe to board pets at the moment. I also have cats, they are my personal favorite, all whom I’ve had for many years. What can I say i’m a animal person. I have a few exotic pets; a snake and two geckos who stay in cages!
“Thank you so much for caring for Ginny these past 2 weeks! Knowing she was going to have her time with you was such a comfort during my long work days. Your extra effort and flexibility was so helpful and much appreciated. l'll definitely be sharing your contact with friends when they work in the valley. You're the best!”

About: Anytime, anywhere I’ll be there! I am passionate about animals and would love to take care of your fur babies while you’re away. I am willing to send photos, updates and FaceTime whenever necessary. I am knowledgeable in medication handling, feeding routines and nature walks. I’ve trained several breeds in my lifetime. (Non-licensed but great at it none the less) I am currently retired and have open availability. I am willing to travel. I have a 2020 Elantra. I live in Desert Hot Springs. Thank you I am a part of a community that has a dog park. My home pet friendly. I have a fur baby of my own and my sister has a fur baby of her own as well. Very other pet friendly.
“Elaine was able to visit my cats at our home. Everything was coordinated and planned, the process was straight forward. Like the past appointment with Elaine she was wonderful to work with and I hope to use her services again in the future when traveling.”

About: For many years I've taken care of animals. I have acquired an ability to adapt to the needs of specific pets. Whatever they need, I'm there. I'm detail oriented and very observant when it comes to animals. Rest assured, I will make sure your baby is taken care of to the best of my ability. Comfort and care are my priorities. I'm extremely open! I like to work around your schedule. I live with family right now and do online schooling. It's asynchronous meaning I can do it any time. I always keep my pets comfortable and clean. From grooming, to cleaning bedding and washing out bowls. I'm very cautious to any contaminates that can compromise the safety of a pet. Bacteria is especially rampant in outdoor areas, so I make sure my dogs are clean in the area they sleep/eat.
“Kevin watched my cat for a week and did a superb job! The communication was constant, and he went above and beyond to ensure my cat was safe in the house on these hot summer days. He's a sitter I will definitely call again when I need services. Thanks Kevin !”

“Jon has been so helpful with my two French Bulldogs—checking in on them while I’m at work. He is trustworthy, very dog-friendly, kind, and professional. Whatever your specific needs are with your pets, Jon is just the type of person that is up to the task. He genuinely seems to care and will give your pets plenty of love and attention!”

About: I grew up on a farm with all types of animals and I love taking care of them. Ive had dogs and cats all my life. I currently have two chihuahs, a German Shepard, and two cats. They are all friendly and used to other dogs and cats. I have experience taking care or kittens, cats, puppies, small dogs, and large dogs. I will walk them several times a day and play with them. I can house them overnight, watch them for the day, or just walk them. I have two separate gated yards where they can run around and play. They can also come inside the house since my pets are allowed anywhere in the house that I am. I have reliable transportation if housesitting is needed and I am available all the time.

“This was our first time leaving our puppy for an extended period of time. When we met Alyssa we felt at ease immediately. Our dog is an 11 month Golden Doodle and very active! He was attended to by both Alyssa and Bonnie, and I can tell he thoroughly enjoyed them both! I cannot recommend Alyssa highly enough. We look forward to seeing them both again at our next opportunity. Thank you Alyssa!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
