“James did great with our cat Prescott over the Thanksgiving holiday. He stopped by to meet her first and was very friendly and professional. Our cat came up to him for some love each time and he was happy to give it, so we knew she was going to be in good hands. While we were out, he always kept us updated with a few sentences about what he did as well as several photos. We would rebook James again in a heartbeat.”

“We really like Samantha. She has been very reliable and communicative. I had to go back to working 8 hours a day and it's been really nice to have Samantha come and do drop in visits with my dogs. After Pearl had a pee pee accident (she's not used to staying in the create that long) Samantha cleaned it up. Me and Milo and Pearl appreciate Samantha.”

“Erika is an absolute gem! We chose to work with her because we have two cats and saw she had experience specifically with kitties. Erika went above and beyond to care for our babies while we were away for a trip. She spent long quality time with them and sent plenty of adorable photos in each update! Whenever we go away again, we will definitely feel secure with her care and can tell she is for sure a cat person with a calm and comforting demeanor. Thanks again!!”

“Christopher did a wonderful job taking care of my dog while I was out of town for the weekend. He bonded quickly with my dog, and built a trusted relationship with him. Christopher was also a conscientious guest and left our house in good condition. I enthusiastically recommend him.”

“I've had the opportunity to use Caroline's services on several occasions. Caroline gives me 100% peace of mind whenever I entrust my fur babies to her care. She is responsible, trustworthy & does a great job taking care of all that the job at hand entails.”

“We had set up a 30 minute meet and greet. He arrived on time.we sat and chatted. Romeo got up On the couch and laid beside him. He liked Kevin’s arm. We took a stroll in our community dog park. I think he was surprised by the degree of Romeo’s fear aggression . There were three little dogs that showed up with their owner off leash and were not obeying commands. We simply held on and walk out of the park.”

“Ashurina helped me out of a jam, was needing to head out of town last min. She came by the same day I called her to meet with myself and my 2 girls (fur baby cats). She checked in and updated me, sent pictures and had my 2 cats engaged during her drop in. Thank you so much.”
“Rhondee was great, prompt, and responsive! Medicine had to be administered for my senior dog so needed someone I felt I can trust. Rhondee scheduled for a meet n greet as this is my first time which made me feel comfy”

“Emily was so helpful during the time I was gone. She was very efficient to being on time and getting everything done for my cat while I was gone on vacation. I didnt even have to reach out to remind her of anything she was on top of everything which made it comforting while gone. Thank you so much!”

“Mia was great! She took fabulous care of my animals and came consistently at the times requested. She was very kind and flexible with everything we needed. I will definitely be reaching out again if I need a pet sitter again!”

“Jon has been so helpful with my two French Bulldogs—checking in on them while I’m at work. He is trustworthy, very dog-friendly, kind, and professional. Whatever your specific needs are with your pets, Jon is just the type of person that is up to the task. He genuinely seems to care and will give your pets plenty of love and attention!”

“Marisa was excellent! She took great care of my four cats, who all require special diets. She was so accommodating and easy to work with. And she took plenty of pics of our fur babies so my husband and I had peace of mind while away. Would definitely book again!”

“Elaine was able to visit my cats at our home. Everything was coordinated and planned, the process was straight forward. Like the past appointment with Elaine she was wonderful to work with and I hope to use her services again in the future when traveling.”

“Jenny was perfect during her drop in visit and she took great care of our two pups. They both went potty and she sent photos of the whole occasion. Would definitely recommend”

“Nina was amazing as a drop in sitter for my difficult kitty. She was able to get close enough to give Sonny some love while i was away, feed her, and Nina even watered my garden! Highly recommend, especially if you are hesitant about a stranger coming in while you are out. Nina is trustworthy and awesome!”

“April makes it possible for me to leave my sweet boys to visit people I love. There is nothing more valuable than peace, and that is what April gives me. No one else will do. Thank you!”

About: Hi!, my name is Justin and I've been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I can remember, as such I'm very excited to get to work with and for all our four-legged friends! As mentioned above my core values include being energetic, adaptable and patient, and through these values you and your pet(s) can expect discreet professional level service at anytime you need me. Hope to meet you soon! - Justin Despite currently job-hunting at this time, my schedule is completely wide open for all your petcare and play needs, and even after when I find a position I'll be sure to keep your pets a priority in my schedule. I currently live with my sisters' 2 Labradoodles, and as such each day it's my duty to make sure they're let outside between 7:30-8am, given a Greenie dog brush treat when they return, have a clean, full water dish with clean filters, are generally behaved and not causing damage to anything (rip Birkenstocks, you'll be missed), played with, are fed between 5-7pm, and let outside throughout the day until last call at 10pm. Regarding house sitting, my bounds all depend on the dog(s) themselves as well as your personal preferences. If they have seperation anxiety, need attention 24/7 due to medical reasons or just want someone to play with, then I have no issue staying all days and/or nights for them, but if they need only to be checked on routinely then I would be absent from the home so as to value your privacy. At the time of writing this I have no scheduling issues with staying overnight during house sitting calls, but if you only need check-ins then I can check in as many times as necessary.
“Shayna was amazing! She was kind, communicative, and always kept me updated with messages and photos. My pets absolutely loved her, and she went above and beyond by giving them extra playtime and attention. I felt at ease knowing they were in great hands. Highly recommend Shayna 🩷”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Palm Springs. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
