About: 🐾 Need a Reliable Dog Sitter? I've Got Your Tail Covered! 🐾 Heading out of town or working long hours? Let your pup stay safe, happy, and loved right in their own home! ✅ Experienced & trustworthy ✅ Daily walks, playtime & snuggles ✅ Administering meds if needed ✅ Updates & photos sent to you ✅ Available weekdays, weekends & holidays Whether it’s for a day, a weekend, or longer treat every dog like my own! Retiring soon, I work from home. I can’t really have a dog. I look forward to spending meaningful time with animals and sharing unconditional love with your furry friend while you’re away from home. My approach to pet care is always personalized to meet the unique needs of each animal, ensuring their comfort, safety, and happiness. Depending on the services requested, here’s how I typically provide care: Feeding: I follow the specific dietary instructions provided by the pet owner, including portion size, feeding times, and any special dietary needs or restrictions. I make sure fresh water is always available. Medication: If pets require medication, I administer it carefully according to the owner’s directions. This includes pills, topical treatments, or any other prescribed care, while closely monitoring the pet for any side effects or changes in behavior. Walking and Exercise: For dogs, regular walks tailored to their energy levels and physical condition are a priority. I ensure they get enough exercise and bathroom breaks to keep them healthy and happy. I’m attentive to leash safety and environmental conditions during walks. Play and Enrichment: Pets receive plenty of interactive playtime, stimulation, and affection to keep them mentally engaged and emotionally satisfied. This might include playing with toys, training exercises, or just spending quiet cuddle time. Comfort and Supervision: I maintain a safe and calm environment, making sure pets have a cozy space to rest and feel secure. I monitor their behavior closely to detect any signs of stress, illness, or discomfort. Communication: I keep pet owners updated regularly with photos, messages, or videos, sharing how their pet is doing and any noteworthy observations.

“Mary did an outstanding job looking after my precious boy, Cornelius. The photos and comments she sent were adorable and gave me peace of mind. It was a delight to come home to a happy cat that had been loved, cared for, and pampered in my absence. I am lucky to have found Mary and would re-book her in a heartbeat. I can’t recommend her enough.”

I can work with all types of dogs, from bracycephalic, to puppies, to senior, to hard pullers! If you need someone to closely monitor your dog's breathing or if they are recovering from surgery, I have experience being very attentive. I'm totally down to take your dog on a jog through their favorite park or just take a nice easy stroll around the block. If you want me to work on a bit of simple behavior training, I can practice whatever you are currently working on with your dog. I have my own Weiss walkie leash, poop bags and treats. “Melinda did a wonderful job taking care of our cats. We got daily photos and our cats were content and happy when we got back. She also brought in our packages and watered our plants, all perfectly. Great job all around!”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember—family dogs, my own dogs, always under the same roof. Since my dog Tesla passed, this is the longest stretch of my life I’ve gone without a dog in my home, and it’s reminded me just how important dogs are to me. Caring for them truly feels natural and grounding, not like “work.” I work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of attention throughout the day—not long stretches alone. I’m present, attentive, and happy to adjust to each dog’s personality, routine, and needs. I live in a safe, gated, and very pet-friendly community about 10 minutes from the airport, which many clients find convenient for travel days. While I don’t have a traditional yard, I do have two open-air patios that are fully fenced around the perimeter. There's plenty of secure outdoor space with grass areas, walking room, and plenty of space for dogs to relax and explore safely. I always encourage a meet-and-greet before a dog’s first overnight stay so everyone—both humans and canines—feels comfortable. That said, I trust pet parents’ judgment and don’t make it an absolute requirement if schedules don’t allow. I’m happy to send photos and updates during your pet’s stay if you’d like—some owners love frequent check-ins, while others prefer to fully enjoy their trip. I’m comfortable either way and will follow your preference. If any medical issues were to arise, the veterinarian Rover uses for emergencies (VCA) is about 1.5 miles from my home, which offers added peace of mind. My goal is to create a calm, loving, and safe environment where your dog feels comfortable, cared for, and right at home while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pup 🐾 I work from home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Because I’m home throughout the day, I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship—without long periods of pets being left alone. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to adapt to your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, whether that means morning walks, midday check-ins, evening wind-down time, or medication schedules if needed. Since I’m not commuting or away for long stretches, I’m able to be present, attentive, and responsive to each pet’s needs, making this a calm and low-stress environment—especially for dogs who appreciate human company. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, attentive, and loving environment where dogs are supervised, respected, and cared for as individuals. In my home, pets are never left unsupervised outdoors. While I don’t have a traditional yard, I do have two open-air patios that are fully fenced around the entire perimeter, providing secure outdoor space for fresh air, lounging, and movement. I live in a gated, very pet-friendly community that’s ideal for safe walks and outdoor time. Because I work from home, I’m present throughout the day and able to monitor behavior, energy levels, and any changes that might need attention. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walk preferences, sleep habits, and medication instructions if applicable. I always encourage a meet-and-greet before a first overnight stay so both pets and humans feel comfortable and confident, though I trust pet parents’ judgment if that isn’t possible. I’m happy to provide photo and text updates during your pet’s stay if you’d like, and I communicate clearly and promptly if anything comes up. In the unlikely event of an emergency, the veterinarian Rover partners with (VCA) is approximately 1.5 miles from my home, allowing for quick access to care. Whether in my home or yours, I aim to create a safe, predictable, and loving environment so your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home while you’re away.
“Erika was the best! She has a very kind and gentle demeanor and my cats warmed up to her very quickly. She kept me updated with every visit and sent along lots of pictures. I’m happy to have found such a trustworthy person to care for my babies while I was gone. :)”

“Kyla was wonderful with my dog Storm! Storm took a liking to her right away. Kyla was able to make sure Storm got a potty break and lots of loves, cuddles, and some treats while I was at work. Definitely recommend Kyla and would book with her again!”

Cathedral City cat parents share their Rover experiences
Megan took very good care of my little Bisquit, a kitten like cat! Bisquit loves to play, and Megan played with her, kept up with the litter box, fed her, washed her dishes, all of that. What i lived the most was she won bisquit's heart and bisquit came out of hiding.I think the next visit, maybe even the first. That never happened before! It was most important to me that my little cat would feel some love and safety, and not feel alone. And Megan did that perfect, and she did the normal stuff too very nicely. I will ask Megan to help us out again.

Melissa was the best possible answer for our need to care for our 3 cats during our vacation! She did everything we asked and more. She clearly cares a lot and knows what she is doing. The kitties were all healthy and happy when we got home, and the photos we received while we were gone show that our shy cats warmed up to her right away. The house was all as we left it, if anything a little cleaner. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone who wants a kind person to care for their animal friends and to keep a responsible eye on things while they are away.
