âI've never left my new rescue dog with anyone and I didn't think he'd do well with a lot of dogs at a normal day care because he can get overwhelmed and defensive. Judith is a dog person. She understands them and was a great sitter. Once Goedy and her dog got to know each other they played and wrestled all day! I felt very comfortable knowing he was in a safe place and also having fun. Would 1000% leave my pup with Judith again.â

About: I love small dogs they have the biggest hearts! Iâve had pets since I was kid and have helped others with pet care needs đ I recently retired and have lots of extra time and thought what a better way to spend my time! Taking care of small dogs ! I have a fenced yard and plenty of room in the house for your fury baby to roam. I have no other pets at the moment so yours will have my full attention.
âLuz was very accommodating and very good with communication. Her property was very lovely and my dog. Bodie was very happy. I could tell with a big smile on his face! The pictures that she sent me during his stay were very thoughtful.â

âMy husband works remote and had to travel for a conference pretty abruptly, so I was looking for doggy day care just a few days in advance and Katie was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Kugel had a great time and I know weâll come back to Katie again!â

âMark looked after our dog, Penny, twice a week for daycare over several weeks and also cared for her overnight. As a new rescue, Penny can be quite anxious, particularly when getting used to new people and environments, but Mark has such a calm, gentle manner that she quickly felt comfortable with him. Before long, Penny absolutely loved going to his house. She would wag her tail and run straight to his door. We genuinely feel that Mark played a significant role in helping her gain confidence and continue progressing and feeling secure. Mark was always reliable, caring, and professional, and we knew Penny was in safe hands with him. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter.â

About: Iâve have taken care of dogs ever since I was a teenager. I love taking care of dogs they bring me such a joy. I know that each dog has their own personality and I love seeing them shine in there own ways. I have taken care of dogs as young as 6 months old to dogs that are 9 years old. I know that senior dogs definitely need more attention when it comes to potty breaks. I also have changed dog diapers. I also grown up with large dog breeds such as Pitbulls, Rottweilers and Huskies. I have also taken care of small dogs such as toy poodles, schnauzer and pekingese. I currently work as a property manager for an Airbnb that runs within my home. Which gives me the flexibility to watch pets. I understand that each pet has their own needs and I want to do whatâs best for them. Iâm very fortunate to have a fully fence, home, and a separate backyard for my pets and yours. My dogs have their own space and your pet will be staying with me so I can watch them.
âAlthough my daughter's service dog goes with us everywhere, we decided it was best to leave him in capable hands while we enjoyed a tip to the Living Desert near Palm Springs, CA. Nuvea was available last minute to care for Huckleberry in her home. He enjoyed a play date with a few fellow canines and a cat. Nuvea was able to accommodate treat time and dinner for him and excursions in her backyard. When we returned Huckleberry was happy and ready to resume his care for his girl. We were pleased he had a safe and cool home to rest in while in our absence. I highly recommend Nuvea and her happy pup safe home for care.â
âTony took care of my sweet girl during our stair at Palmer Springs it was so good to find him as Tala sitter as he treated with care and love towards my pup. I recommend him to everyone. Thank you, Tony!â

âThank you from the bottom of my heart. Todd was so understanding and accommodating when we were late due to bad weather and traffic. Sent pictures and dogs, and dogs came home happy and tired. Very communicative and kind.â

âThank you for watching Nala! Itâs tough leaving our old pup with strangers but she seemed very comfortable with Geraldine for the time being. Her place was a fun little getaway for our pup as well as it had big open yards and turf.â

âThis is a great sitter, beautiful home and very nice people. There is a lovely, secure brick walled yard and great energy. Buddy dog was super happy with his one on one care. it was nice to not worry about him while we were on our outing. I think he made a new friend. I will definitely call them again.â

âMegan was a lifesaver for our weekend getaway! We were staying at a pet friendly resort but wanted a day where we didnât have to worry about leaving Dot alone for too long, or bringing her out with us during the hottest time of the year. Even though it was just a single daycare session, Megan provided regular updates and kept our girl happy with plenty of playtime, potty and water breaks. Dot made friends with Meganâs dogs and another Rover stay, she came back to us happy and tired. Would definitely choose Megan again for future trips to the desert!â

As of September 2026, there are 398 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across North Palm Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your North Palm Springs commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
