“We loved Louise! She took Lizzie at the last minute so we could ride the Tramway and it went well so we brought her back again to go to Joshua Tree NP. When we arrived that second day Lizzie couldn't wait to get out the Van. She was fussing because it was taking me too long to put on her leash. She ran into the yard with Louise full of joy. “Although my daughter's service dog goes with us everywhere, we decided it was best to leave him in capable hands while we enjoyed a tip to the Living Desert near Palm Springs, CA. Nuvea was available last minute to care for Huckleberry in her home. He enjoyed a play date with a few fellow canines and a cat. Nuvea was able to accommodate treat time and dinner for him and excursions in her backyard. When we returned Huckleberry was happy and ready to resume his care for his girl. “Today was Termie’s first doggie day care visit with Stephen. Even though I had a really nice meet and greet with him last week, I was still a little nervous about leaving my baby with any new person. But with Stephen I felt good because he’s had a few Toy Poodles himself and we shared pictures of our Toy Poodles with each other. When I dropped Termie off very early this morning (6am), Stephen welcomed me and Termie and reassured me all would be fine. And when I came back at the end of the day to pick him up, Stephen and I shared some more stories about Toy Poodles for about 20 minutes… and sure enough, my dog was actually ignoring me and sitting in his lap the whole time we chatted. At that moment, seeing my dog stay by his side instead of mine, I knew Stephen and Termie had bonded and that Termie must have been well cared for. I can’t express how relieved I am to have found somebody who knows and appreciates Toy Poodles, but also a sitter who is very kind and friendly. It was just a great first day experience and I am so happy my dog will be staying with him a couple days each week. Thank you again Stephen for being so nice to both me and Termie.
