“Katie took great care of our Golden Retriever Marvin She came highly recommended from friends that have used her several times. What a blessing to have found her. Our boy was completely worn out from doggy play yesterday. I thank you again Katie. Our minds were completely and ease knowing you were taking care of our special boy.”

“Andranise was communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and Getty came back each time tired but happy which is all we could ask for. Andranise was a great solution for us coming in from out of town without time to onboard to a traditional daycare and I’d definitely book again.”

“This was my first time to ever leave my pup in a daycare. I hesitated to do so but Dennis made me feel comfortable in trying it out. He’s great! I was updated about my pup all the time.”

“I've never left my new rescue dog with anyone and I didn't think he'd do well with a lot of dogs at a normal day care because he can get overwhelmed and defensive. Judith is a dog person. She understands them and was a great sitter. Once Goedy and her dog got to know each other they played and wrestled all day! I felt very comfortable knowing he was in a safe place and also having fun. Would 1000% leave my pup with Judith again.”

About: GROWING UP, MY MOM ONLY ALLOWED US TO HAVE CATS AS PETS. WHEN I WAS 20-YEARS OLD, I ADOPTED MY FIRST PUPPY FROM THE LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK ANIMAL SHELTER. HE WAS AN AKITA/GERMAN SHEPPARD MIX & WE HAD HIM FOR 17-YEARS UNTIL WE HAD TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP 😞. I ADOPTED 4 OTHER PUPPIES AFTER THAT. I EMJOY THE COMPANY OF PETS MORE THEN I ENJOY THE COMPANY OF PEOPLE LOL 😂. PETS ARE MORE LOYAL. I KNOW THAT WE ALL TREAT OUR PETS LIKE OUR CHILDREN, SO WE SHOULD SPARE NO EXPENSE WHEN IT COMES TO PET SITTING/BOARDING. I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED, SO MY SCHEDULE IS COMPLETELY OPEN. ALSO, MY PROFESSION IS WORKING AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, SO I GET TO WORK REMOTELY. I CAN PROVIDE THE BEST CARE & ATTENTION ACCORDING TO MY SCHEDULE. OUR PROPERTY HAS AN EAST & WEST LAWN AREA THAT IS FENCED IN & SAFE. WE HAVE 3 VERY FRIENDLY & LOVABLE DOGS (6-YEAR OLD WHITE GERMAN SHEPPARD, 13-YEAR OLD COTTON DETULIA & 6-MONTH OLD BOXER). SAFETY & TRUST IS ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF PET SITTING/BOARDING. MAKING SURE THAT BOTH HUMAN & PET ARE HAPPY & GET ALONG.
“Thank you for watching Nala! It’s tough leaving our old pup with strangers but she seemed very comfortable with Geraldine for the time being. Her place was a fun little getaway for our pup as well as it had big open yards and turf.”

“Kevin was amazing. Our Italian Greyhound, Enzo - is very particular who he is comfortable to be around. Kevin was an instant magnet. During Enzo's stay with Kevin, we received photos, videos and updates. The entire time, Enzo was happy, full of energy and wanted to play. At the end of Enzo's stay, he was exhausted (which is awesome). Kevin is a highly recommended for any pup care needs. We will definitely use him again. Thank you Kevin!!”

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Todd was so understanding and accommodating when we were late due to bad weather and traffic. Sent pictures and dogs, and dogs came home happy and tired. Very communicative and kind.”

“Shelly was amazing with our semi-anxious Roxy! If you are in the Palm Springs area, and want to do those things that dogs can’t do (Indian Canyon or the Tram) I would not hesitate to book Shelly:)”

“They were so welcoming and truly gave our dog a fun and comfortable visit! We will definitely be booking again, we are so appreciative! Highly recommend their services!”

“Tony took excellent care of our dog! He played with him and was very attentive. He communicated with us throughout our dog’s stay to let us know how he was doing. We highly recommend Tony!”

“10/10!! We can't thank Reno enough, we booked last minute and he looked after our 2 small dogs while we were in Palm Springs. We appreciated him sending pictures and letting us know how they were doing. I recommend him 100%!”

About: I provide calm, attentive care for dogs and cats in a home where I only take pets from one household at a time. Your pets stay together and are never mixed with unfamiliar animals, creating a low-stress, comfortable environment. I work from home full-time, so your pet gets consistent attention throughout the day, along with regular walks, playtime, and a structured routine. With over 10 years of experience, I’m comfortable with puppies, senior pets, and administering medication. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for like they’re at home. While I don’t have a private yard, I’m close to dog-friendly outdoor areas and take dogs out regularly for walks and fresh air. • One household at a time (no mixing with other pets) • Full-time supervision (I work from home) • Calm, clean home environment • Frequent photo updates so you always know how they’re doing Feel free to reach out with any questions, I’m happy to set up a quick meet & greet to make sure it’s the right fit for you and your pet 😊 I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I am available to give your pet all the love, attention and exercise they need throughout the day! “Rae Ann was lovely and took great care of Shasta. She sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. Shasta and Thor got along very well and Shasta was definitely tired out when we got home.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Palm Springs
Mark looked after our dog, Penny, twice a week for daycare over several weeks and also cared for her overnight. As a new rescue, Penny can be quite anxious, particularly when getting used to new people and environments, but Mark has such a calm, gentle manner that she quickly felt comfortable with him. Before long, Penny absolutely loved going to his house. She would wag her tail and run straight to his door. We genuinely feel that Mark played a significant role in helping her gain confidence and continue progressing and feeling secure. Mark was always reliable, caring, and professional, and we knew Penny was in safe hands with him. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter.

This was the first time having some care for Henry, my 6 month Cavapoo and i could not have asked for two better people than Dennis and Tom. Communication with Dennis was easy and I so appreciated the update and pics he sent me during the 6 hours Henry was with them. When we arrived at their lovely townhouse, Dennis and Tom warmly greeted us and immediately made Henry comfortable. I hope Henry’s experiences with others are as positive as this, his first!

Scott was awesome! Very quick to respond and work with us on delays due to weather. Our pups had a great time and tuckered out when we picked them up. Scott also let us know how things were going throughout out the day with pictures. It makes our trip more enjoyable when we know our pups are in good hands while we are out exploring. Our thanks to Scott, and we will look forward to using him again in the future.

Thank you Nina for taking such great care of our Stanley. Such a sweet, gentle spirit and touch which he responds to so well. We appreciated the photos and the updates, so reassuring with our little senior citizen. Stanley looks forward to spending time with you again in the future!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Palm Springs commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
