“Kevin watched my cat for a week and did a superb job! The communication was constant, and he went above and beyond to ensure my cat was safe in the house on these hot summer days. He's a sitter I will definitely call again when I need services. Thanks Kevin !”

“We are so thankful for Andranise! She has been so flexible with our crazy schedules and last minute requests. Our dog, Lucy, loves when she comes over during the day while we are at work. We hope Andranise will always be available to let out Lucy!”

“Rich did a fantastic job taking care of our three babies, two dogs and one cat. Our little girl is a recent rescue and not well socialized. Rich took the time to get to know her and gained her confidence. He gave us piece of mind while away. We are truly grateful for Rich.”

“James took great, thorough care of our Wolfie over the holidays. We were able to rest easy knowing he was in good hands. We highly recommend James to watch your furry loved ones!! 🩷”
“Eric was awesome! We were a bit nervous about using a dog sitter because we don’t do it very often, but we are traveling so it made sense. He made us very comfortable, and more importantly or dog absolutely loved him. He’s like the Mary Poppins of dog sitters - practically perfect in every way! We’ve already scheduled additional bookings.”

About: I have experience taking care of my own pets and lot of stray around my area. I also used to volunteer at the animal shelter and see how they treated and cared for the animals. I can help with feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I’m currently on summer break from college and have a lot of free time. I would love to be around pets and have a good time! I would be very cautious and careful in your homes while you are away. While I take care of your dog with lots of love and playtime!
About: GROWING UP, MY MOM ONLY ALLOWED US TO HAVE CATS AS PETS. WHEN I WAS 20-YEARS OLD, I ADOPTED MY FIRST PUPPY FROM THE LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK ANIMAL SHELTER. HE WAS AN AKITA/GERMAN SHEPPARD MIX & WE HAD HIM FOR 17-YEARS UNTIL WE HAD TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP 😞. I ADOPTED 4 OTHER PUPPIES AFTER THAT. I EMJOY THE COMPANY OF PETS MORE THEN I ENJOY THE COMPANY OF PEOPLE LOL 😂. PETS ARE MORE LOYAL. I KNOW THAT WE ALL TREAT OUR PETS LIKE OUR CHILDREN, SO WE SHOULD SPARE NO EXPENSE WHEN IT COMES TO PET SITTING/BOARDING. I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED, SO MY SCHEDULE IS COMPLETELY OPEN. ALSO, MY PROFESSION IS WORKING AS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT, SO I GET TO WORK REMOTELY. I CAN PROVIDE THE BEST CARE & ATTENTION ACCORDING TO MY SCHEDULE. OUR PROPERTY HAS AN EAST & WEST LAWN AREA THAT IS FENCED IN & SAFE. WE HAVE 3 VERY FRIENDLY & LOVABLE DOGS (6-YEAR OLD WHITE GERMAN SHEPPARD, 13-YEAR OLD COTTON DETULIA & 6-MONTH OLD BOXER). SAFETY & TRUST IS ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF PET SITTING/BOARDING. MAKING SURE THAT BOTH HUMAN & PET ARE HAPPY & GET ALONG.
“Christopher's approach is very pet-forward and focused, he shared terrific daily updates while we were away and we felt so confident leaving our cats in his good care!”

“I highly recommend Jon. He's very responsive to communication and good with my pets. He's responsible and showed up when he said he would. I'm so glad he was available both times we've needed a dog watcher. We very much appreciate him!!”
“CJ is the greatest! My dogs really live hanging out with her and it is such a relief to come home to calm relaxed dogs who had a great day when we are gone. She pays close attention to the details and really goes the extra mile to make sure my babies are happy and I stay up to date on how they are doing! We will definitely be seeing more of CJ in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Palm Springs
We booked Nina to watch our two Morkie girls while we were in Palm Springs for a family vacation. We had a day trip planned to Disneyland and needed someone to watch the dogs since we were going to be gone 18 hours. Maizy and Millie immediately loved Nina when she came to meet them and we felt confident in having her take care of them. We got numerous pictures throughout the day and evening she was with them, as well as many messages. Nina was fantastic and helped us have a memorable day without worrying about our girls. I would recommend her without any hesitation! She even checked with me the next day to make sure Maizy was ok because she didn’t want to eat her dinner while Nina was with her. Nina was kind, caring, a great communicator and we felt she really cared about our girls!

We had set up a 30 minute meet and greet. He arrived on time.we sat and chatted. Romeo got up On the couch and laid beside him. He liked Kevin’s arm. We took a stroll in our community dog park. I think he was surprised by the degree of Romeo’s fear aggression . There were three little dogs that showed up with their owner off leash and were not obeying commands. We simply held on and walk out of the park.

I knew our cats were in good hands with Molly all week long! We were away for a trip and she was reliable and communicative the whole time, I didn't need to worry about a thing. Plus our normally reserved cat walked right up to her for a nose boop when they initially met--a terrific match!

This is the first time I have booked Jimmy to spend some time with my boys. In a word, he was FANTASTIC! My boys absolutely loved him when they first met during a meet and greet and it was obvious to me that Jimmy is a real animal lover. Jimmy was prompt, courteous and professional throughout the experience. He was clearly enamored with my boys and they clearly had a great time with him. I will ABSOLUTELY be using Jimmy in the future. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Book Jimmy and you can be rest assured that your dog(s) will be well taken care of! See you next time Jimmy….Woof!

Maya has watched Baxter a few times now, and it’s clear that he has truly fallen in love with her! Not only is she an exceptional house sitter, but she also cares for dogs with incredible attention and affection. During her time with us, she kept our home clean and tidy, making sure everything was in its place. She also took the initiative to wash our dishes, leaving the kitchen spotless. It’s such a relief to know that our home and furry friend are in capable hands. Each time she visits, Baxter becomes more comfortable and happy, eagerly awaiting her return. Overall, Maya goes above and beyond, making her the perfect choice for house sitting and dog watching.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
