“Maggie is the best! We are from out of town and had a family emergency. Maggie was so attentive to our needs and our dog, who had surgery a week ago. I highly recommend Maggie who has a heart of gold.”

“We had Rhondee drop in our dog while we were away and we came home and all was well and great with our dog Cajun. Rhondee was able to accommodate the drop in times that we requested, which was much appreciated! Would certainly recommend to anyone else!”

“Don has been great with our 2 dogs. He has boarded them several times and lately has been dropping by our house for a couple hours when we’re out for many hours and taking the dogs for walks, swims, playtime and doing some training!”

Since I work from home, I’m available any day of the week and have plenty of time to give your pet the attention, companionship, and affection they deserve. About: Hi!, my name is Justin and I've been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I can remember, as such I'm very excited to get to work with and for all our four-legged friends! As mentioned above my core values include being energetic, adaptable and patient, and through these values you and your pet(s) can expect discreet professional level service at anytime you need me. Hope to meet you soon! - Justin Despite currently job-hunting at this time, my schedule is completely wide open for all your petcare and play needs, and even after when I find a position I'll be sure to keep your pets a priority in my schedule. I currently live with my sisters' 2 Labradoodles, and as such each day it's my duty to make sure they're let outside between 7:30-8am, given a Greenie dog brush treat when they return, have a clean, full water dish with clean filters, are generally behaved and not causing damage to anything (rip Birkenstocks, you'll be missed), played with, are fed between 5-7pm, and let outside throughout the day until last call at 10pm. Regarding house sitting, my bounds all depend on the dog(s) themselves as well as your personal preferences. If they have seperation anxiety, need attention 24/7 due to medical reasons or just want someone to play with, then I have no issue staying all days and/or nights for them, but if they need only to be checked on routinely then I would be absent from the home so as to value your privacy. At the time of writing this I have no scheduling issues with staying overnight during house sitting calls, but if you only need check-ins then I can check in as many times as necessary.
“Henry did an AMZING job taking care of our Gepetto! We are going to book her regularly and I can’t rave enough about her! Super thorough and kept us updated and sent lovely photos. Thanks Henny!”

About: Choosing a pet sitter is an act of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. For years, I've been trusted to care for beloved pets and the homes they live in, and I would be honored to earn your trust as well. My goal is simple: to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving the same thoughtful, attentive care you provide at home. I have decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Throughout my life, I've had the privilege of caring for my own pets as well as those of family and friends, including senior animals with special needs. I'm equally comfortable with small dogs, large breeds, energetic pets, and those who simply need a slower, gentler pace. Every pet is unique. I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and communication style so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm experienced with senior pets, shy or anxious animals, and multi-pet households. I'm also comfortable administering oral medications and injections when needed, while paying close attention to any changes in behavior or health. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine (when appropriate), you can expect dependable communication, regular photo updates, and patient, compassionate care. I'll treat your home with respect and your pet like a member of my own family. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I have a highly flexible schedule and am available to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets. I can accommodate drop-in visits, walks, overnight stays, and in-home care (when appropriate). I enjoy having the flexibility to give pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. Please reach out so we can discuss your pet’s needs and create the best care plan for your schedule. I believe the best care starts with understanding each pet’s individual needs, routine, and personality. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or providing care in my own home (when appropriate), their safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. In your home, I will maintain your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication needs, and the familiar environment they know and trust. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. For pets staying in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and comfortable environment. I have a completely fenced and secure yard, and pets are welcome to relax indoors in a climate-controlled home environment at all times. Living in a warm climate, I am very mindful of heat safety and make sure pets are comfortable and never exposed to excessive temperatures. I also enjoy providing enrichment and exercise appropriate for each pet’s personality and energy level. When it’s a good fit, I’m happy to include friendly, social dogs in outings such as walks or trips to the dog park with my own dog, who is fully vaccinated, neutered, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Every pet is different, and my goal is always to provide dependable, loving care that feels as close to home as possible.
“Ashurina did a wonderful job watching our pups, allowing us to get out and play some golf. We have a high-energy puppy, who is shy with people and a 15 year-old dog who is slowing down a bit. Ashurina played with our kids and made sure they got their potty breaks and treats. We rebooked her last minute for an additional drop-in visit. Highly recommended.”

“I highly recommend Jon. He's very responsive to communication and good with my pets. He's responsible and showed up when he said he would. I'm so glad he was available both times we've needed a dog watcher. We very much appreciate him!!”
“Angelica is very reliable and quick to respond. She was available last minute. It’s wonderful to have someone that we can trust. She is very sweet with our two rescue dogs 💕”

About: I’ve always been good with animal since I was young and because I grew up around dogs. I am calm and collective and I try to apply that when dog sitting. I also have more than 2 years of experience in customer service, which has taught me to truly value a customer. I am currently working part time and I am free during most days of the week, preferably in the afternoon. I am available weekends, however not on Sundays. Even though I am working, I am more than happy to spend time with animals, I truly enjoy it! I have experience with both cats and dogs as I’ve house sitted for people who have both. I know how to crate dogs. I know the basics like how to pick up cat litter, feed animals, and how to encourage them to use the restroom. My father also has a dog and I’m the one who usually feeds her, takes her outside, and the one who is constantly playing with her.
“Mona was an angel. We have an 18-year-old almost fully blind dog who is never left alone and we were terrified about leaving him with someone we didn’t know.. Mona came to our hotel and spent three days taking care of Ziggy while we were out having fun and relaxing. From the moment she walked in the room we knew she’d be a great fit.. She’s very responsible, kind, caring and attentive.. She took pictures and made sure to keep in contact with us throughout the day at our request. When it came time OK for her to leave Ziggy tried to follow her out!!! we will definitely be using her again and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. Mona, we thank you so very much. You’re amazing.!”

I met Megan for the meet and greet for her to drop in to check on my cat while we were out of town for a few days and I immediately trusted her. I appreciate her excellent communication and as a bonus she took great photos of my cat which made me feel even more at ease. She was super helpful and followed all care requests perfectly. I will definitely be rebooking!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
