“Nina is an amazing dog sitter! She was incredibly flexible, very responsive, and truly caring with our dogs. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and kind.”

About: I got my first pet when I was six years old. Since then, I have been taking care of dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and fish for over 15 years. My friends, family, and neighbors rely on me to feed their pets, take them on walks, bathe them and even trim their nails, if needed. I love all pets and enjoy taking care of them as if they were my own. I can fit your schedule anytime with a week’s notice. For walks, mornings are more favorable due to weather conditions. For emergency care, one day advance would be preferred. I have a fenced yard where your dogs can play outside on the grass or they can enjoy indoor play with cool A/C. They’ll have their own room or they can be crated if needed.
“Sophia is great! She is punctual and loving of my furry baby Magnus. Magnus is also very happy with her and he even gave her his paw! Which was only reserved for family. Magnus and I are happy to have sophia as his sitter”

“Kim is absolutely incredible, she goes above and beyond and I am so glad that I found her to take care of my two young cats while I was away. Kim is patient and caring and was able to make my shy cat comfortable and happy. She takes great care to send pictures and updates of every visit. I know my cats will be so happy to see her again next time I leave town. Thank you Kim!!”

“Jessica was amazing. My dog can be reactive and intimidating. But, Jessica made quick friends with her. Jessica is communicative, cares deeply for the creatures she cares for and does exactly what she agrees to do. I appreciate her and will definitely ask her to care for my fur babies next time they need a sitter.”

About: I have taken care of almost every kind of pet in the last 5 years I’ve been on Rover. Big, small, young, old, fast, slow, disabled, etc. I am always on time, will update you on your pet’s well-being, and follow instructions clearly to ensure your pet is in great hands. I have a very flexible schedule as I work from home. I am lenient on cancellations or additional time requests. I will always confirm my appointment times. I have grown up with a total of 3 dogs in my life. I always kept an eye on them and knew that if it was too quiet in the house they were most likely doing something they shouldn’t. I always keep pets safe by keeping a close eye on them.
“Aimee is absolutely fantastic with our cats! We once had a cat sitter for 4 years who never saw Denny, our boy cat. He was all over Aimee from the start! The girls love her too! So glad we found her!”

About: Hey there, fellow pet lover! I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve got three goofy, lovable dogs at home who keep me on my toes, and over the years, my friends and family have trusted me to look after their furry companions too, because they know I treat every pet like my own! To give you peace of mind and your pet a paws-itively awesome time! My Mondays are fully available, Tuesdays from 6p-8p I am not, as I volunteer at the Horse Rescue. Throughout the week may be flexible depending on the time of your needs. “Katie recently took care of our fur ball while we were called away for a family matter. She gained his trust and provided amazing comfort to him in our absence. She is thoughtful and caring which our cat appreciates greatly.”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with 10 years of experience caring for family pets. I've grown up with dogs & cats and have always been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family. I love getting to know each dog's unique personality and understand that some pups need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. ❤️ I also have a senior dog with a heart condition (my soul pup), so I'm experienced with medications, special care instructions, and keeping pets on a consistent schedule. 💊⏰ Whether your pet needs a potty break, meal, playtime, medication, or just some companionship, I'll treat them like one of my own. 🐶🐱 I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so I prioritize communication and send detailed updates with photos after every visit! 📸 I work from home full-time, which gives me flexibility to accommodate many scheduling needs throughout the day. I'm typically available before work, during my lunch hour, after work in the evenings, some weekends and holidays. If your pet needs a quick check-in during the day, I can often adjust my schedule to help. I primarily serve pets within a 15–25 minute drive of my area so I can provide reliable and timely care. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Since I provide care in clients' homes, I make every effort to maintain your pet's normal routine and follow your instructions closely. I'm experienced with puppies, senior dogs, feeding schedules, oral medications, and eye/ear medications. I understand how important consistency is, especially for pets with special care needs.

Shiori was great! She looked after our elderly German Shepherd mix who requires multiple medications in his food and even though he’s elderly, sometimes he can be a handful and Shiori charmed him. Highly recommend. Very lovely and respectful person as well.

Alyssa did a wonderful job taking care of my dog and cat while I was away for a few days! The communication was excellent, and she informed me when she arrived and left my house, and also sent pictures of my pets as well. I’m very happy and definitely recommend!

Sophia was absolutely wonderful as a pet sitter. She was kind, loving, and very attentive with my cat. She arrived on time, made sure my cat was well-fed, and even went the extra mile by bringing my mail inside without me asking. I truly appreciated her thoughtful help while I was away. I would definitely recommend her and will absolutely ask for her help again!”

Aimee was a wonderful pet sitter! She came over to meet our cat well in advance of our trip and was terrific at communicating with us while we were gone. She sent beautiful pictures of our cranky cat Bailey playing with her and took in our mail, etc. Everything was great on our return and I think Bailey made a new friend. Highly recommend.
Jessica was amazing. My dog can be reactive and intimidating. But, Jessica made quick friends with her. Jessica is communicative, cares deeply for the creatures she cares for and does exactly what she agrees to do. I appreciate her and will definitely ask her to care for my fur babies next time they need a sitter.

I booked Stephanie for second time because of her love and care of my kitties. This time I added my in laws dog and she was more than happy to help with them. She feed them, play with them and cuddle with them. She's very respectful and friendly also very helpful and knowledgeable and courteous and caring. And I'll ask for her service anytime time I need her.

Absolutely the best! Katherine is one of these rare people that you find once in a blue moon that truly goes above and beyond and loves what she does. She took care of our cat and even checked in on the house to make sure everything was okay - if I could give 6 stars I would! She is hands down the best on this site - book her today and I promise you’ll be glad you did!

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
