It’s been a few years since I lost my beloved pet Emma. She was 13 years old & lived the last 6 years of her life with Type I diabetes & blindness. Caring for her during this time, with insulin shots, regimented diet, & discipline, was an eye opener; a great lesson in patience & the amazing resilient nature of our fur babies. Her passing left a huge vacuum that drove me to wanting to take care of other dog esp dogs with special needs. I recall having difficulty finding sitters who were able & willing to care for her unusual & special health requirements, which prompted to me to sign up with Rover & offer my services. Our fur babies cannot talk but do communicate in subtle ways, if only we listen by playing close attention & being empathic. I pay close attention to the needs of your pet, for instance, wiping their face & mouth area after meals or cleaning up eye boogers. I absolutely love walks & would be happy to provide as many walks as needed. Having cared for a diabetic pet for 6 years, I have experience giving medicines & administering shots. I hope every pet I tend to & take care of makes my Emma smile in doggie heaven. I’m currently working from home part time. My hours are flexible so I’m always available to fulfill your pets needs. I’ll never leave your pet alone for more than a couple hours max & only when necessary. My condo complex has tons of large grassy areas for pups to play & fetch toys. My kids are off to college so I live by myself in a quiet condo complex. I’m an animal lover & my top priority is to make your pet feel safe & loved & for you to have a worry free time away from them.
