“James is the absolute best. He’s wonderful with our slightly neurotic pup, super reliable, a great communicator, and makes the difficult choice to leave our pooch much, much easier. Very grateful to James.”

“Mia was great! She took fabulous care of my animals and came consistently at the times requested. She was very kind and flexible with everything we needed. I will definitely be reaching out again if I need a pet sitter again!”

“Diana looked after our kitties when we went out of town. She made sure they had food and water, cleaned their litter boxes, loved on them, and helped take care of the house when our mini ac unit was leaking. She did more than was required of a pet sitter ❤️”

About: I bring over 22 years of hands-on pet care experience, including 12 years as a veterinary technician, which gives me a strong foundation in animal health, behavior, and safety. What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to not only provide loving companionship, but also recognize and respond to the unique needs of each dog, whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior in need of extra patience, or a pet requiring medication or special care. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to care for their pets as if they were my own, and I take pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment. My goal is always to make your dog feel at home, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in capable and caring hands. I’m self-employed and homeschool my kids, so I’m home throughout the day with plenty of time to give your pup attention, love, and playtime. Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily routine, and I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends. We’re a loving, pet-friendly household! My husband is a retired veteran, and together with our kids and two friendly dogs, your pet will always get affection and care. I have a fenced yard for safe play, can crate your dog if needed, and only accept pets that are good with children so everyone feels comfortable. Your dog will truly feel like part of our family while they stay with us.

“Cesar is amazing!! He took care of my three cats while we were out of town for our wedding, over the past 9 days our kitties were in great care with Cesar’s drop in visits! He went above and beyond our expectations. Truly kept the litter boxes clean and swept around them! He changed their food and water and made sure they were safe! Cesar is trust worthy and respectful! He kept us updated throughout the whole process, sending us lots of loving photos and even keeping us updated on the weather! He is soo kind and truly loves animals, we have gold fish here too, even thou we were feeding them pebbles with the automatic feeder he noticed the fish and added some bounce flacks when he visited (out of the kindness of his heart). SO NICE! If you are looking for someone to care for your pets, I HIGHLY recommend Cesar he is very knowledgeable and caring, he followed every step I gave him and went beyond that. He even offered to have a free meet and great so the animals could get to know him! SO THOUGHTFUL. unfortunately my tight schedule wouldn’t allow it but, it’s the thought he puts in that counts! Thank you so much Cesar you are a true blessing to us and our animals! Until next time! 💕”

About: Hi there! If you are in the Coachella Valley, I'm your girl to call or text when you need a sitter! I'm 21 years old and a full-time mommy who is trying to earn some money on the side. I have 14 years of pet care experience and can work with any schedule. Being around dogs give me joy and happiness. I like cats too. If your pet is on a strict schedule or anything, I'm very good on being on time with things like medication or certain activities. I have experience with animals that have been through traumatic events in their lives. Walks are always fun when the pet is enjoying itself :) I don't mind watching more than one pet at a time. I hope to see you and your babies real soon and have a great connection with you all. I'm currently a full-time mom with a seven month old. I usually take my dogs on walks around the park several times during the week. My dogs get feed at least three times during the day and they can always get water if they'd like. I have a fenced yard and my dogs as will as yours have access to the front and backyard. I always monitor them to make sure they do not try to leave the yard. If my dogs or the client do not get along, they will separated and kept in different rooms. I also have muzzles so I can put them on the dogs if you'd feel comfortable and safe with that.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Morongo Valley
Caroline did such an amazing job caring for my two, big bloodhound dogs (100-150 lbs), who had never been cared for by a stranger and are extremely cautious/anxious. Caroline was able to walk in with such calming and open energy that my dogs immediately fell in love with her, and got my girl to want to give dog kisses, which she does not give out often. She was great with communication and quick to respond. My partner and I have always been nervous to leave our dogs at home and had never been able to go on trips without them, as I am an anxious dog parent, but Caroline has changed that for us completely. 5/5 stars would recommend to everyone!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
