Nuvea was available last minute to care for Huckleberry in her home. He enjoyed a play date with a few fellow canines and a cat. Nuvea was able to accommodate treat time and dinner for him and excursions in her backyard. When we returned Huckleberry was happy and ready to resume his care for his girl. My policy on dog breeds and sizes is in place because of two separate incidents. First, I lost a beloved pet to a boarded Rover doggo on Christmas morning, 2020. Having to put my little pig Minnie in the freezer after being attacked on Christmas morning was a horribly traumatic experience. In June 2023 I was attacked by a 110lb Rover dog at a meet and greet and had to go to the hospital. If the owner had not been present, I would have been killed. He provided frequent updates, ensured our dog got plenty of exercise and affection, and even went the extra mile to accommodate any special needs. We felt at ease knowing our puppy was in such capable and loving hands. “Juliann has a nice little boarding facility in her home. Juli took great care of my special needs dog (blind, neurological issues) while she was there. Juliann has the ability to keep her dogs separated from the boarding dogs or to integrate them depending on needs.”
