About: Hi, my name is Lei! I go by Elaine. I’m a dedicated pet lover and dog mom to a sweet little Yorkie named Coke. I know firsthand that finding the right sitter means finding someone who will treat your furry family member with the same love and care they get at home. I have experience raising a puppy from just 2 months old all the way to adulthood, so I understand the patience, consistency, and attention to detail that puppies need to thrive. Over the years, I’ve also learned to read dog body language and signals, which helps me keep pets comfortable, happy, and safe in any situation. Every pet has their own unique personality, and I always take time to get to know what makes them happy. Whether it’s an energetic little one who loves to play or a calm companion who just wants cuddles, I’ll make sure your dog feels safe and loved. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I’m happy to chat about how I can provide the best care for your pet. My schedule is flexible all day for walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. I will be happy to discuss custom timing to fit your dog’s routine. I care for pets like family—feeding, walking, cuddling, and playing. I follow routines carefully and provide daily photo updates, so you always feel connected and reassured.

“Ramy was great! She was communicative and sent me a picture update after their walk. It seemed like my dog had a great time. She was also flexible which I greatly appreciated!”

“My little Gía always has a great time with Jane! At least 1 walk/day, and Jane is SO flexible with my varying pick-up/drop-off times. What a gift to have her so close-by as well. Thanks again, Jane!”

About: I've had pets since I was a young child ranging from salamanders to birds, chicken, iguanas, hamsters and frogs. I raised chicks and cockateils from hatchlings as a kid and I've always loved every type of animal from deep in my heart. I've had dogs and cats consistently from childhood thru adulthood. Currently I only have one senior dog who is 18 years old (88 in dog years) but not too long ago I had 2 dogs and 3 cats. They all passed over the rainbow Bridge🌈 after very long happy lives, and I'm dreading the day my sweet Penelope does.💔 Because of her age, shes staying with my parents. My heart hurts and I miss her so much but know that's best for her in her old age/last months of her life. That was my biggest motivation to be a pet sitter/ dog walker again, I just want the honor and opportunity to give love to people's fur children. I miss all my fur babies so much and I miss the connection and companionship. I actually get more excited to visit my friends fur babies than my friends most of the time! Lol I deeply connect with animals and have a true love for them all. I've been told I have warm energy and that animals can sense that, so they tend to warm up to me quickly. I always respect their boundaries and the pet parents as well. I work well with people and animals alike. Professionally speaking I've worked for a friends dog walking business since 2019, before starting my own business in 2022 because my friend moved away. I have experience working with all dogs of different sizes and temperments. I've walked multiple dogs at once as well, so families with more than one dog are no problem! I'm also always the 1st person friends and family contact when they need a pet sitter, especially the friends who have pets that are more particular in whom they trust. I'm so grateful I have earned the trust of these pets who are known to be apprehensive of new people. I had a friend leave her dog with me for 6 months while traveling during the beginning of the pandemic, and she became family. Friends know they can trust me with the care and love of their fur children. I'm in a few of my friends wills that if anything happens to these friends, I'm the one who will care for their pets, one of these pets is a kitty with cerebal palsy (or CH in cats). I've had many senior animals in my life. I've adopted senior dogs and all my pups have lived beyond life expectatancy. My kitties all lived until late teens. I have experience with seniors, as well as with administration of medicine (including injections and sub q fluids) and special diets. I've had clients with sick pups and seniors with special needs. I have a special connection with senior pets, they have this special place in my heart. I also have experience with puppies and kittens. I have not had a baby kitten in years but I would love the opportunity again. In addition to dogs and cats I have experience with a wide range of small animals and birds. My Mom runs an exotic bird rescue and education club, so I'm very familiar with the care needs of parrots and birds. I'd also love to pet sit for small furry friends like hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, ferrets etc. I have a dream of pet sitting a friendly sugar glider. Additionally I love our un-furry variety of pets as well. Lizards, dragons, snakes, frogs, turtles etc. I have experience with them all. Omg I absolutely adore small turtles 🐢 Also if your children have pets or friends of the invisible or stuffed variety, I will make sure they are well cared for and loved during my stay as well. I especially love taking care of fairies and unicorns. 😉 I'm available most days from 10am to midnight as well as overnight. I am retired so I'm in charge of my own schedule so I can work around your scheduling needs easily. I'm free to do evenings as well, in case you don't work a traditional 9-5 and need pet walking or drop ins at odd hours. Or if you're just completely exhausted after work or have plans. I can accommodate your needs, send me a message and let's figure it out! Note: with gas prices my service radius for Dog walking and Drop-in service is no longer the same as House Sitting, however Rover doesn't allow me to individually adjust the radius on each service. For drop ins and dog walking I generally service Culver City, Palms, Mar Vista, Marina Del Rey & Venice. For overnight pet sitting in your home where I'm not driving back and fourth my service area is a bit larger as listed here on Rover. Please keep this in mind when booking drop in and dog walking service. Thank you 😊 All my pets in the past have been crate trained, so I have lots of experience with that. I also used positive reinforcement. I understand different animals are motivated in different ways, some can be food motivated and some affection, some toys etc. Of course I'm open to any and all methods of care and reinforcing good behavior, so whatever the pet parents wants to reinforce I will be on board. I know with animals consistentcy is important. The only thing I'm uncomfortable with is I will not strike an animal. I currently don't have my sweet Penelope with me anymore because she's an old lady and can't deal with City life or apartment living anymore and is better with a consistent routine. She stays with my parents where there's a yard, doggy door and no stairs. My Dad is retired and can provide her and her step sister Ame with a consistent schedule. In her younger years she traveled everywhere with me and went and walked other doggies with me nearly every day. But her old body can't handle it anymore. It breaks my heart but it's what's best for her. She simply can't do multiple walks a day or stairs at my apartment....and I don't even have a patio to put a potty patch. We miss each other but I visit her in Temecula every couple of weeks. I do however have a roommate who has a dog, he's ok with other dogs on walks but not in his space,he gets too stressed out. As such I don't offer doggy day care or boarding in my home.
