“Lynette was terrific with our dogs. One of our dogs is blind and the other one had been turned down from a doggy daycare for not being friendly enough. She spent time with them and sent us pictures of both of them in her lap sleeping. We have already talked with her about watching them again in March. Great job!! and great service.”

“We can’t say enough good things here. We had a really bad boarding experience and needed to do something different. We were a little hesitant with having someone in our home but Blythe was awesome. We have a large dog who is pretty needy and a little old man. She took pics, gave us updates and did everything we asked and our home looked the exact way we left it. Would highly recommend!”

“Carolina was amazing and very attentive to our cat’s needs. She provided daily updates and plenty of photos/videos. She took great care of him and will definitely book her in the future!”

“This was not only my first time using a pet sitter, but a sitter that doesn’t know my two boys. We have always been spoiled having family watch my two, but not so much anymore. My two boys are a pain in many ways and Elba was absolutely wonderful with them! She stayed an evening with them and gave them all the attention in the world and took them on a car ride! Elba is such a lovely person who has great advice on pets too! I am definitely sticking with Elba as my primary sitter!”

“Teri is an absolutely amazing dog sitter! We love having her watch our dogs and the dogs love her! Wonderful communication and we can't recommend her enough - Thank you Teri!”

“Keisha was a Godsend, one of our cat's requires daily meds, which he hates taking, and she made sure he got them with understanding and positivity, even when personally tested knowing the need that he received them.”

“I don't want to leave too positive a review (even though it is 100% warranted) because the last time I did that our sitter got so busy we are not able to book them anymore. All joking aside, Sara was beyond wonderful. She provided us with updates (even during a major storm), pictures and most importantly to us, she went above and beyond with our taking care of our post surgical Ollie who is needing a lot of extra care.”

About: Frequent walker that would be happy to have a dog join. I also have a backyard that I maintain all of the time for use. I do not have a dog of my own and typically only watch one dog (or two if you have two) at a time leaving your dogs needs at the priority! I work remote so will always be able to be responsive when sitting. Also have a 700+ day 10,000 step streak so doing lots of walking currently! Handle and escalate and concerns to owner when appropriate and I feel any sorts of hesitations. Thoughtfully, decisively, and neutrally investigate Trust & Safety cases with high complexity and high sensitivity while maintaining customer satisfaction! As a reminder I do not have a fenced in yard so all outside time will be through walks!
“Elizabeth was wonderful! Our pups were well loved and safe. She was trustworthy and went above and beyond to make sure the house was left in excellent condition. We look forward to having her back.”

“Emily was great at communicating with us the entire stay, and we could tell from all her updates and pictures that our pups loved having her around. Our flight ended up getting delayed because of the blizzard rolling through Wisconsin this past weekend, and Emily was able to help make sure our pups were let out and fed while we figured out how to get back to Milwaukee. I would absolutely recommend Emily to anyone else looking for expert and friendly care for their pups on Rover. Thank you again!”

“Brianna was super responsive and kind! She was responsive to our dog’s needs and asked appropriate questions about his care. She left our house clean. We would have her sit for us again!”

“Alex is great with animals, respectful, kind, caring and compassionate. She is great with communication and made me feel like my pets were being well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Emma was so sweet with my little senior dog! My dog has various quirks and some chronic health and anxiety isssue and Emma was very accomadating with it all! She was also a great communicator and would check in and ask questions to clarify if she needed anything. I would definetely recommend her to anyonne and would trust her again with my furbabies <3 Thanks so much Emma!”

About: I have 3 cats & a dog who I treat as if they were my biological children. One of my cats & my dog are medically “blessed,” so I have experience giving meds & sticking to dietary restrictions. They are also anxious creatures, so I’m more than experienced in the world of patience. I foster for a cat rescue who saves stray cats & have experience with getting cats/kittens to trust me. I work full-time but am available weekday evenings for drop-ins & walks. I am available for boarding & house-sitting on weekends or over holidays. My weekends are flexible, so I can also accommodate medication schedules easily With a fenced in yard, dogs can enjoy time outdoors safely. I live in a quiet neighborhood that allows for nice walks. My dog & cats are very laidback. For other dogs, after a proper introduction, my dog loves playing with other dogs & is cat savvy. Since I foster, I also have a separate room where I could keep any cat guests.

About: My fiance and I have dog sat for years together dealing with special needs situations any medication walks or clean up due to medical illness necessary. I am now branching on my own to sit solo and help anyone I can! Im currently looking for work so im available when and wherever necessary. Im easy to communicate with and Im Great with last minute scheduling changes I have my own Great Dane mix Gigi who’s the world to me, I take care of her food, medicine, and walks daily. I love her like my own child and I look to provide the same care, loving home environment, and safe space for any pup because that’s what would worry me most if I booked with someone😊
About: I am a part time college student. I am going to school to get my ECE Degree. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 10 by volunteering at humane societies and having my own dogs. I also worked at a doggy daycares throughout Florida and Wisconsin. I love all dogs like they are my children. I would love to own my own rescue center but as of now I want to gain more experience with taking care of different breeds and just express my love of animals to the world. I hope that you choose me to be a temporary parent for your dog and that he or she is in perfect hands and will feel at home. Thank you. Hopefully we speak soon. I work third shift for Target and dog sit during the day. I make sure they are taken out three-four times and feed twice a day. I care for them like they are children. Go on walks, feed, cuddle. Run like crazy and crash from exhaustion. I also love getting to know the dogs personality.
“Anna was wonderful. She was a great communicator and sent me a daily picture and update of how my dog was doing or what they did that day. I felt very comfortable with Anna watching my dog and would definitely use her again.”

Julianna (and her partner Ed) were amazing with our anxious pup Winnie. She was communicative beforehand, organizing a meet and greet and asking great questions. She wanted to make sure Winnie was comfortable as possible, allowing us to walk Winnie together before entering our home. During the stay, she sent regular updates with photos. Asked some clarifying questions about our pup’s favorite activities, and ultimately let us relax and enjoy our vacation. She administered our pups meds and helped us have peace of mind. Would absolutely recommend Julianna and Ed!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Hanna! She was absolutely great and took the time to meet Vincent prior to staying with him for the night, which put my mind at ease immediately. She was wonderful about keeping me updated and asking great questions throughout the stay and sent pictures, which I really appreciated. Most importantly, Vincent loved her! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring companion for their dog.

Eleanor was extremely communicative and responsible which made us very comfortable leaving the care of our home and our pup with her. She had an instant connection with our cockapoo at the meet & great which was evident in the photos from their time together as well. We’d highly recommend Eleanor to anyone looking for a thoughtful and loving sitter.

Elba is wonderful! She just watched my senior dog Fern for the first time while I was on a 5 day trip and I was able to fully relax and not worry as I received daily photos and updates from her. Fern felt so comfortable with her also and got lots of love, attention and walks not to mention receiving all her daily meds on time. I will definitely be using Elba’s services again!

I don't want to leave too positive a review (even though it is 100% warranted) because the last time I did that our sitter got so busy we are not able to book them anymore. All joking aside, Sara was beyond wonderful. She provided us with updates (even during a major storm), pictures and most importantly to us, she went above and beyond with our taking care of our post surgical Ollie who is needing a lot of extra care.

Blythe was absolutely amazing with Prema! She was true to her word and took care of my pup in every way possible with so much love and attention that I think she was missed even after my return! Blythe was the first Rover I've used where I didn't have to worry about the care of my pup and I appreciated the updates with pics throughout the day. I'd happily use Blythe again for all our vacations going forward!

Tanya was fantastic with my crazy dogs! She went above and beyond in communication and made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs for a few days. Our dogs required special care and minimal time alone and Tanya accommodated all requests. We will be using her every time we need a dog sitter! Highly recommend.

Wow! Definitely recommend River. She worked with us over the course of a few home visits to get our nervous, anxious dog acclimated to her. Then we had her dog sit in our house for 8 days. They became best of friends. She kept the house in tip-top shape and even left little gifts for my human children. Will definitely have her back!

Taylor took care of my son (Zipp) during the winter in Wisconsin. You can tell Taylor loves dogs, he sent me videos playing with Zipp and taking him for walks in the snow. Thank you Taylor! I would book again!!! Zipp was so happy when we got home, on the couch like we never left 💕

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Cudahy on Rover is $43.48 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

As of August 2026, there are 1,284 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cudahy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cudahy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cudahy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cudahy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cudahy. On Rover:

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
