“Ky was great! I was very comfortable leaving my pets in her care, and she took great care of them. She communicated well, sent pictures off and on throughout our vacation. She left everything in good shape and the pets seemed well cared for when we got back.”

“Heidi was amazing. She was very accommodating in terms of finding a time for a meet and greet. When my son decided he wanted to entertain her and have her attention as I showed her around, she was a great sport. She was super non-judgmental about the state of our house, and put me at ease. She was great with our pets while we were gone, and sent adorable photos. When we got home, I found that she had washed all of the odd dishes we hadn’t had a chance to wash before we left. She also shoveled the walkway! I will absolutely be reaching out to her again, next time we go on vacation.”

“Blythe was amazing! I booked with her based on her endless positive reviews and was not disappointed. I have a blind senior dog who needs medication and Blythe went above and beyond to make me feel less anxious about leaving her for the first time for a long weekend. She was communicative, patient and kind—I will definitely be booking with her for my next trip.”

“Daniel was a reliable dogsitter at our house. Our dog loved him, as evident with Cali sitting at his feet even when we returned. Daniel did give Cali additional outdoor time, which was a treat. Daniel also went beyond the call to receive the shipment of our new lawnmower and see that it was sheltered in our garage.”

“Madolyn did an amazing job with our fur babies! You can see how much she loves animals with the way she interacts and cares for them. I hired Madolyn to house sit and watch our dogs. She gave regular updates on the girls, and took such good care of our home. This turned out to be a fantastic outcome, and I recommend Madolyn to anyone looking for a caring, respectful, and trustworthy sitter. We will definitely have Madolyn back!!!!”

“Michelle was great with our 2 dogs. One dog is very shy, and nervous. Michelle gave her the space & time, to be comfortable with her. She took great care of the dogs, as well as, our home. She was great at communicating, sending updates, and pictures. We'll definitely be using her again.”

“Wow! Definitely recommend River. She worked with us over the course of a few home visits to get our nervous, anxious dog acclimated to her. Then we had her dog sit in our house for 8 days. They became best of friends. She kept the house in tip-top shape and even left little gifts for my human children. Will definitely have her back!”

“We were extremely pleased with the diligent care Monica provided for our 4-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd. She did an excellent job not only watching Jaco, but also taking great care of our home while we were away. It gave us real peace of mind knowing everything was in such good hands. We would absolutely use Monica again and highly recommend her to others.”

“Carolina was super respectful of all of our instructions for caring for the cat and dog. She sent many pictures and videos along with detailed updates. We have no question that they were well taken care of and they were happy when she was here.”

About: (I go by Dakota, so some testimonies might call me that) I started off pet sitting for neighbors when I was about 14. I would feed, let out, and walk the dogs, and feed and clean cat litter boxes as needed. I moved up to dog sitting for family friends, old coworkers, and coworkers’ clients about three years ago, where I would do the same, and even bathe dogs if needed. I have experience pet sitting rodents and reptiles as well! I am currently not working a job, so I have all the time to give your babies the love and attention they need and deserve! I have experience with body language in dogs, so I can always tell when your baby is happy, upset, or uncomfortable. If you don’t have a fenced in yard, no problem! I can take your fur baby on a secure leash outside!

About: Currently work at a dog daycare and boarding facility. I’ve always taken care of family/ friends dogs, I’m confident in basic commands and walking with a well trained dog! I’m currently working part time, so I am pretty available! I don’t have a set schedule for sitting or walking but shoot me a text and I’ll try my best to be there! I always keep my dogs fenced and crated when I can’t have my eyes on the them. Otherwise my cats are free to roam inside!!
About: Have administered specialized medicine to senior animals for ongoing diseases such as kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. Was very diligent nursing my senior kitty before he passed. I work and go to school so my schedule varies but I always have some nights and mornings free each week that I would love to use on animals. I understand and respect animals boundaries and try my best not to encroach them. I've also mastered the "foot as barrier" approach when opening doors.
About: As a dog lover my whole life, I wasn't able to get one of my own until a year and a half ago. Having our golden retriever Tommy has completely changed my life for the better! I absolutely love dogs of all kinds and enjoy being outdoors and playing with them. I work full time remotely, so I am extremely available and flexible to your schedule. I can accommodate any needs and have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and everywhere in between. Tommy has been professionally trained and gets along great with other dogs. We are able to keep dogs in our apartment if needed, and have lots of parks and sidewalks near by for exercise. I currently work from home full time, so I am very flexible for your pets needs. I currently keep our golden retriever active (as he very much needs it!) and would love to add another dog to the bunch if needed. I live in an apartment but have lots of access to local parks and walking trails. I am available for drop-in visits and walks as well.
“Joe was amazing with our 4 furry toddlers! We've never really went on vacation because of our dogs and fears of boarding our dogs. Joe sent nearly daily updates, some pics and videos of them having a great time without us. He's super responsive to messages and very patient with people and our crazy pack of 4. Thanks again for allowing us to have a worry free 1st vacation!”

“Kelly was wonderful!!! She took great care of our little cat Claire, who is an antisocial beast of 17 years. Kelly contacted us daily with pictures of our little girl, which eased my concern of leaving her. She was also able to connect with the beast, who has never bonded with other sitters, OK she hid from them or hissed and tried to attack them, trapping one sitter an a small hall way. Claire not only talked to Kelly she came out of hiding, which impressed both me and my husband. Thank you Kelly for all you did for Claire.”

About: Hi I’m Reece! I am a local artist who Graduated with my BFA from UW-Milwaukee in 2015, and since then have been an artist in residence at Var Gallery. I currently live in Bayview and work in galleries around Walkers Point. I’ve owned and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Caring for pets whether my own or others has always been a very fun and rewarding part of my life. I’ve grown a love for pets and now feel I can easily grow a bond with almost any animal. This job grants me that opportunity and I absolutely can’t wait to meet you and your pets and take great care of them. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets just like family I’m your guy.
“Melissa and her husband were wonderful. They came over for a meet and greet with the pups, and stayed at the house for the weekend. Melissa gave me updates and pictures daily. My house was neat and tidy when I returned, and Willie and Bentley were well taken care of! I will most definitely call Melissa again. 5 STARS!”

“Alex did a great job with Tucker. She bonded with him immediately, he was feed, walked and pampered. Communication was excellent, we got lots of photos and updates. We will definitely use Alex again”

“Berenice was amazing! Very accommodating to us and our pets. We have a cat that takes medication and has urinary issues and she was great with him! I’ll be booking again if needed in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Crestview on Rover is $25.88 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 1,277 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Crestview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crestview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crestview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crestview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crestview. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
