About: my sister and i have been watching dogs for many years now and have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes ranging from Pugs to Belgian Malinois. We do have experience and are comfortable around dogs with disabilities such as blind or deaf. neither one of us currently work full time and 3 people live in our home so it’s pretty unlikely your pet will be left alone long if at all. rest assured there are zero other unconfined animals roaming around our house! we do not have a fenced in yard but your pet will be taken on as many walks as needed.

Tyler is wonderful. My pup is usually shy around males due to her past but she absolutely adores him. As soon as she sees his car in the driveway she gets so excited. He's great with her.

Emma was so trustworthy and reliable in walking my dog Zoey twice daily when I was out of town for 10 days. I had left Zoey with my 86 yr old mother who was unable to walk her, so I was thrilled to find someone so capable.

About: Since I can remember I have always been around dogs and cats in my life, mostly rescues, who needed training and caring for. I currently pet sit for my family when they are away, and walk dogs for family friends. When I was a professional cleaner I encountered all breeds and ages of cats and dogs every single day so I am very comfortable around all types of pets. I especially love and have experience with pitty breeds as well as experience with some reactive cats and know what to do to gain their trust. When not taking care or animals, I am a freelance dancer and choreographer! I take dance class some evenings and may have a weekend show or rehearsals. Other than that, I am readily available especially during the morning, afternoons, and later in the evenings/overnight for your furry friends! Before we officially book, I will make sure we have a meet and greet so that your pet can get to know me as we talk about all your needs for my visit! Along with any of your pet's special needs, I will ask you to leave me with any emergency contact information just in case anything were to happen, as well as my personal contact info. I also will send you updates for your peace of mind as well as some adorable pictures of your pet(s)!

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Even through college and grad school, I had roommates with pets. Now I’m living in a rental that doesn’t allow animals, so I’m hoping to find some local pets to care for and spend time with! I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all ages and activity levels since I was young, and I enjoy taking dogs for walks any time of year! I’m a middle school teacher, so I have a pretty consistent schedule from August-June. Most days I’m able to leave work by 3, so I have all afternoon and evening to care for pets. In the summer and on breaks, I have a lot more flexibility with my schedule. I do have a small fenced in yard in case I had a client’s pet in my home, though I’d more than likely care for the pets in the client’s home. I have experience feeding, bathing, crating, giving meds, walking, and snuggling dogs of all ages and activity levels, as well as feeding and giving meds to cats.

About: Over the years, I've cared for my own four companion rescue dogs and many more cats. I also started and ran a licensed farm animal rescue for 15+ years where I provided daily care for sheep, goats, llamas, chickens, turkeys and pigs. I have lots of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities and am comfortable working with special needs animals and giving meds. I am also available for drop-in care for some companion or pet farm animals. My routine is very flexible as I am a self-employed consultant and work remotely from my own home. About: Hi, I’m Alyssa – your dog’s next best friend! 🐾 Located in Tolland, CT | Flexible Availability | Trusted by Fellow Dog Parents As a lifelong animal lover and proud pup parent, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable, responsible, and caring to look after your furry family member. I was referred to Rover by friends who know how much I adore dogs—and I’ve quickly become the go-to sitter for neighbors and friends alike. I specialize in caring for dogs who may need a little extra love, patience, or consistency—especially rescues or more anxious pups. I recently cared for a young red heeler mix who was too nervous to board, and with time, treats, and a calm presence, we became fast friends. Whether your dog is high-energy or a couch cuddler, I tailor my care to their needs. What I offer: • In-home overnight stays (I’ll treat your pup like one of my own) • Daily walks and enrichment activities • Photo and text updates to keep you in the loop • Flexible scheduling and last-minute availability Let’s set up a meet and greet—I’d love to learn more about your pup and how I can help! I work from occasionally so I can be available for your dogs when boarding! I can take them out morning, noon, or night depending on need. If boarding, I have about 1.5 acres of land they can explore or a 30 foot fenced in area in the back. I have a friendly dog who’s about a year old, and a fenced in area. Were ready for whatever your dog may need and more!

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
