“We knew we were in good hands from our first meet and greet with Rebecca. Rebecca’s communication is prompt and clear. She takes notes on feeding times, likes, dislikes, activities, and so on. We loved the big gated fence and yard she has. This is essential for our pups to run freely and play. Our Ralphie & Jupiter stayed with Rebecca and her family for 9 days. She updated us with photos daily. We felt our pups were safe and sound in a good home. This was like going to camp for Ralphie & Jupiter. They were sad to leave Rebecca and her family. If your looking for placement in a trusting-loving home. Rebecca and her family are the way to go!”
“Absolutely pleased with Rolf’s care. From pictures we could see he was a happy dog. And he got to play outside in a child’s pool and a hosing! His favorite activity. He really didn’t want to come home!”

“This was my German shepherd, Evie's, first overnight stay with Laura, or anyone else for that matter. I was hoping it would go well and happily Evie had a great time running about and playing with three other dogs. Good to know I have a safe place to drop Evie off when I'm away.”

About: For the past 3 years I have had jobs within the veterinary industry in both general practice and emergency veterinary care and am currently a pre-vet student. I have lots of hands on experience with all different kinds of animals, I myself have rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs. I have several years of dog training experience including training therapy dogs used in social settings for increasing positivity in different public environments. With my veterinary jobs I have taken care of and helped treat all different ages and breeds of animals. With my animal behavior training I can also assess animals body language in all different kinds of settings to know how best to react with each animal I meet. I am a very active veterinary science student and love spending my free time and breaks interacting with all kinds of animals. Each new friend I meet offers me the challenge to enhance their training and asses their body language to become even better at what I do within the vet industry. With each new friend I get to meet I make sure to have clear communication regarding guidelines and normal routines for all the furry friends. I like to keep routine within each animals schedule to reduce the stressors of being alone or having their family leave for a vacation without them. The routine I learn about gives me the basis on what kind of care each animal needs because every animal is different.
“Jennifer and Inam were such great caretakers! I had a last minute trip for work and they were so flexible and accommodating on very short notice. I interacted mostly with Jennifer and I could tell how much love and care she pours into all the dogs. My pup was so sad to see her leave when it was time to go! Thank you for taking such great care of Olivia!!”
“My dog, Ollie, just spent a week with Sandy and I cannot say enough about how great she was. I hadn’t ever left him with anyone other than family and from the first minute I met Sandy during our meet and great, she put me right at ease. She was communicative and caring and he clearly had a great time. I would (and will!) rebook her in a heartbeat!”

“Archie had a great time with Suzanne and helpers! He was happy to se us but was sad to have today goodbye for now. We will continue to come to Suzanne as long as she continues to be there for us. She’s the best snd Archie gives her and kids a BIG HIGH FIVE!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Triba was great! Super responsive, gave lots of attention to my cat, and took great care of him. She was also flexible with dates. Would definitely hire her again.”
“Summer is the best of the best. She took such good care of our two pups and when one of our pups arthritis started to act up, she loved him and took care of him like he was her own. She was absolutely incredible and we will most certainly be rebooking and I would highly recommend Summer to watch anyone’s pups.”

“I left for vacation and had to leave my kitty, Riott, behind, and I’m so grateful I found Katarina. She was absolutely amazing with him and made him feel right at home. She gave him lots of love, paid close attention to his needs, and treated him so well. She also kept me updated every day with adorable photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It felt so reassuring knowing Riott was with someone who genuinely cared about him and knew how to take care of him. I will definitely book with Katarina again!”

“Sherry was great! Our Doxie Cooper got lots of cuddles and attention while we were gone and Sherry provided daily updates so we could see how much fun he was having. Would highly recommend!”

“My dog loves Jessica and her family as much as I do I think. She was amazing with updates and responding quickly. She sent pictures made an emergency situation less stressful. Thank you Jessica!”

“Melissa was very easy to deal with and our dog Sammy seems to have had a great time with her. Melissa gave us several updates on Sammy and sent us lots of pictures of her adventures. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone.”

“Dyan is amazing with dogs. She recently welcomed my girl while I was out of town and helped her feel right at home. Dyan was accessible and provided updates including photos. She has watched three of my dogs now. I trust her completely.”

“Cailey took care of my senior cat for an extended time and took great care of her. Cailey kept me updated on how my cat was doing, including for a period of time where my cat wasn’t eating as much. My cat will do this on occasion so I wasn’t concerned, and appreciated Cailey noticing and checking in with me about that. I would absolutely work with Cailey again, thank you!”

“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Trixie! It’s greatly appreciated. While we hate leaving her, knowing someone else cares for her as much as we do makes it a little easier.”

Madison was great to work with and genuinely cared about our dog during her stay. She took the time to send pictures and let us know how Zila was adjusting to being away from her home. She made time for a meet and greet to make sure Zila would get along with the other dogs, which was great to get to see where she was staying before we left. Highly recommend booking with Madison!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
