“Laura did a fantastic job with our 8-month-old Great Dane, who was anxious about being left alone. She provided plenty of updates and reassurance while taking excellent care of our pup!”

“Loved Jennifer! She was awesome and met me in the park to introduce Cooper to some of the other dogs she was currently watching prior to the stay. She gave regular updates and did a great job with socializing Cooper with other dogs. She is a great photographer and put together an album of the week. Loved her and wouldn’t use any other sitter!”
“Maria was amazing!! Our nervous boy was in good hands! Maria was great with our big goofy dog, she gave him the love and attention he needed while we were away. She sent photos and checked in with me often. Definitely highly recommend and will use again! Thanks again Maria!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 6 years and have encountered all types, from the couch potatoes to the ones who want to play nonstop! I am home full time so I am available any day and any time for drop off and pick up. Being home full time also means I will be available for your pet at anytime they need me throughout there stay at my home. I have a sturdy 100 ft dog runner that has held very large dogs. However,if your dog does better on a regular leash just let me know and I can leash for bathroom breaks instead. While at my home your pet is my only priority and I am happy to suit any needs they have.
“My buddy seemed very happy during his visit He also adjusted very easily when he got home very relaxed. A great experience for him I feel He will go there next time when needed.”

“Rosmery was wonderful with our fur baby! I received many pictures and videos of Lana. Her and her family made feel our pup like home! Definitely, we will bring Lana back.”

“We used Rebecca for a quick overnight for our rescue. We’ve only had him for a few months and he has barely been left alone so we wanted to be sure he was happy. I could tell when I picked him up how happy he had been there. Friends to play with and love from Rebecca. He couldn’t stop giving her kisses! I would use her in the future for anything I need. It’s such a relief when you don’t have to feel guilty about leaving your pet because you know they’ve had their own vacation. Loved getting the photos of him during his stay as it made me at ease. Thank you!!!!”
“Emma was amazing with Khloe! ❤️ She was very communicative throughout her stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Khloe had such a great time with Emma and her pup, and we could tell she was happy and well cared for. 🐶💕 I definitely recommend Emma’s services and wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our girl! 🐾❤️”

“Sherry gave my dogs the attention and affection they needed while they were in her care. She has gone above and beyond for my one dog whom is a little difficult. We had a great experience.”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Forest this weekend. It means the world to us knowing he was safe, happy, and loved while we were away. Your kindness, reliability, and genuine care gave us complete peace of mind, and we’re so grateful for the time and attention you gave him. We truly appreciate you and feel lucky to have someone we can trust with our furry family member. With heartfelt thanks, Dave and Ana”

“Madison was amazing with my pup! She kept in contact with me sending pictures and letting me know how Oakley was doing! Very very happy with my first experience with Rover and Madison!! ❤️”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of Trixie! It’s greatly appreciated. While we hate leaving her, knowing someone else cares for her as much as we do makes it a little easier.”

“Wil was really great with my dog, even though he is usually reactive he behaved wonderfully with him and I could tell he had a really good time there! I will definitely be booking again! There was some slight confusion though since I wasn’t told it wouldn’t be Francis herself watching my dog but rather her parents, which was fine as they were great with him but it was a surprise.”

“Steve and Debbie were really great hosts. My dogs were spoiled rotten, watching football, playing outside with friends and sleeping on the couch. Definitely would book another stay with them.”
“Mary-Claire did a wonderful job taking care of Milo! She was very responsive, provided helpful updates, and sent pictures throughout his stay, which I really appreciated. It was reassuring to know he was being well cared for. I would definitely book with her again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Coventry
Madison was great to work with and genuinely cared about our dog during her stay. She took the time to send pictures and let us know how Zila was adjusting to being away from her home. She made time for a meet and greet to make sure Zila would get along with the other dogs, which was great to get to see where she was staying before we left. Highly recommend booking with Madison!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
