“Triba is the best thing that could happen with a super worried cat mom, she arranged our video calls while I was away. She loved her like her own, she is definitely becoming her foster mom permanently ?”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for our Arthur! From the start, Amy was attentive, responsible, and truly cared for our boy like her own. Arthur is adventurous and always getting into something, but she handled everything with ease and kept us updated with pictures and messages. It was clear Arthur felt comfortable and happy in her care. Highly recommend! Thank you Amy, and Mayzie!!”

“Elizabeth watched my two dogs for the first time for two nights. My two seven year old boys are higher energy requiring more attention than many other dogs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, and deeply responsible. Both my dog felt right at home from early on and absolutely enjoyed the walks and playtime. She sent me regular updates with pictures allowing total peace of mind. Perhaps more importantly, my two knuckleheads found a new best friend and I found a sitter that will definitely be used again for future needs.”

“Lissette took amazing care of my two puppies I know an 11 month old and 3 month old German shepherd are a lot to handle but she did an amazing job! Both puppies did not want to leave her house. I will definitely be booking with Lissette again anytime o travel for work!”

About: For the past 3 years I have had jobs within the veterinary industry in both general practice and emergency veterinary care and am currently a pre-vet student. I have lots of hands on experience with all different kinds of animals, I myself have rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs. I have several years of dog training experience including training therapy dogs used in social settings for increasing positivity in different public environments. With my veterinary jobs I have taken care of and helped treat all different ages and breeds of animals. With my animal behavior training I can also assess animals body language in all different kinds of settings to know how best to react with each animal I meet. I am a very active veterinary science student and love spending my free time and breaks interacting with all kinds of animals. Each new friend I meet offers me the challenge to enhance their training and asses their body language to become even better at what I do within the vet industry. With each new friend I get to meet I make sure to have clear communication regarding guidelines and normal routines for all the furry friends. I like to keep routine within each animals schedule to reduce the stressors of being alone or having their family leave for a vacation without them. The routine I learn about gives me the basis on what kind of care each animal needs because every animal is different.
“Summer was amazing with our dog, Abby. She provided pictures and updates regularly. Abby seemed really comfortable when we took her to meet Summer. We appreciate all of the snuggle time Abby got and will not hesitate to leave her in Summer’s care again! Thank you for everything, Summer.”

“Didn’t get to meet Inam but Jennifer was amazing with my Ralphie! She’s very patient and kind, all the good qualities needed to take great care of your pets. They sent pictures and updates almost every day which was much appreciated. Looked like my pup had a lot of fun. I’ll definitely be using their services again!”

“My dog Bo had a great stay with Rebecca! He got to play with lots of dogs and get his energy out. Rebecca is very professional and knows what she is doing. She sent multiple pictures throughout his stay so I could know he was safe and having fun! I would definitely recommend Rebecca to someone who is looking for good care of their fur baby!”

“I highly recommend Klaudia. She did a great job with our dog, Macy. Klaudia has a kind family and two sweet dogs of her own. She sent several pictures, which I loved. I could tell our dog was comfortable and happy with Klaudia. I was worried Macy may not want to come home with us! We will definitely be coming back in the future.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 6 years and have encountered all types, from the couch potatoes to the ones who want to play nonstop! I am home full time so I am available any day and any time for drop off and pick up. Being home full time also means I will be available for your pet at anytime they need me throughout there stay at my home. I have a sturdy 100 ft dog runner that has held very large dogs. However,if your dog does better on a regular leash just let me know and I can leash for bathroom breaks instead. While at my home your pet is my only priority and I am happy to suit any needs they have.
“Betsabeth and her pup Bear are absolutely great! Freya has definitely made new friends in them and gets so excited when I drop her off for the weekend-- I know she's being cared for well. Betsabeth is very accommodating and keeps me updated with pictures while I'm away :) I highly recommend her!”

“Leaf always has a good time at Lauren’s and enjoys playing with her dog Kota. He has stayed there for a dog sitting day and overnights. He comes back tired and happy.”

“Leah is nothing short of amazing! I had no worries leaving my baby with her and I would 100% do it again! It was my first time using the app and Leah made it so easy. I got pictures and videos, which I looooved. Thank you Leah for treating my Lylah as your own <3.”

“Laura was excellent. She has a wonderful home for dogs and it almost felt like dropping my pup off for summer camp. He came back looking happy too. Laura was friendly, punctual and asked good questions on how to take care of my dog.”

“I'm so happy I found Angela (khanh) and Tommy before traveling halfway around the globe. After our meet and greet I knew I could relax on vacation knowing my pup was in good hands. Angela has that motherly instinct for all dogs big and small, and Tommy is an experienced dog groomer. I got picture and video updates everyday, I felt like my dog was at summer camp and she would never want to come home! I know she got lots of love and exercise and she will be coming back again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
