“Lisa was an awesome sitter for my puppy Mattie. This was the first time I have left her for multiple nights and Lisa sent me tons of photos and was very responsive when I reached out for updates or questions.”

“Betsabeth is great with Grizzy. We don’t worry that he won’t get played with or cared for when she’s watching him. She also is accommodating to our pickup/dropoff schedules. Highly recommend!”

“Dash had a wonderful week long stay at Renata’s home. Plenty of exercise and outdoor time on their beautiful property on the lake. Would absolutely trust to take care of our dog again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“First time leaving my baby girls and Nazim made the experience so relaxing and comforting. Extremely accommodating, even took in our last minute request. Excellent communication. We even received pictures of our girls lounging, going for walks and playing in his fence in yard. What an incredible experience through and through. 5 stars for sure. Will be leaving my baby girls with Nazim when in the area. All the best.”

“Andrea took very good care of my baby, i was so nervous leaving him with someone new. But i am glad i found her. My baby was well taken care off and he seem very happy. He was treated like a family member he was taken on car rides and he was allowed to sleep on the bed. I definitely will be booking with her and her family again.”

“Heather & Greg are FANTASTIC!! They made me feel super confident that my puppy was happy and well cared for. Their home is like a permanent mini dog park with all their sweet pups and fenced in back yard- so I knew while I was away my puppy was running and playing and safe. They even brought out a kids’ play pool when they realized she was missing her daily swims! They clearly love dogs tremendously - feel lucky to have found them!”

“Angela and Tommy are the best! Angela sent daily pictures of Dolly and provided updates which provided great comfort while we were away! Dolly had lots of fun and when she got home was a happy girl! So lucky we found her”

About: Even though I don't have a lot of certified training, I know how to show my love and affection to each and everyone pets just like I have in the past for my own. I am currently unemployed, and I will be starting to go back to school in the fall semester of this year, so my availability is kind of flexible during the week, except for Wednesday's Thursday and Sunday. I will treat every one's pet with love, care, respect and patience that they need and treat them as one of my own family members.
“My Sami was one happy tired dog when she came back home. Liz did great and communicated to me at all times which made me feel at ease and comfortable. Will recommend and use her services again.”
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life, and I currently have a dog back in Costa Rica who has a special condition and uses a wheelchair. Caring for him has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve learned to adapt to his unique needs and rhythm, provide extra support when necessary, and ensure he feels safe, comfortable, and loved at all times. This experience has taught me patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of how every pet has their own personality and pace. From energetic pups to those with special needs, I know how to adjust activities, offer affection, and create a stress-free, happy environment. My goal is always to make each dog feel valued, cared for, and truly at home while in my care. Hi! I’m available throughout the week, depending on the service you need. I usually offer dog walks from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and I’m flexible to adjust to your schedule whenever possible. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for. Feel free to message me so we can discuss details and find a plan that works for both of us. 🐾 I live in an apartment, with a small space, however the complex has a dog park and a large green area. It is a calm and quiet place
“Morgan was super helpful when I needed a sitter on my road trip! She was so good with Molly and helped out extra since Molly wasn’t feeling the best on my trip and eating irregularly”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. From playful Goldendoodles to tiny Yorkies, I’ve had the opportunity to care for so many wonderful dogs over the years, and I truly love getting to know each one’s unique personality. I also have plenty of experience as a dog owner. I had a Yorkie for about 5 years, a Maltese who was part of my family for 15 years, and I currently have a mixed-breed pup who has been part of our family for about 2 years. Being around dogs has always been a huge part of my life, and I honestly can’t imagine it any other way! Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs who are calm and happy to lounge around, as well as high-energy pups who need lots of playtime, attention, and exercise. I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s individual routine, personality, and needs. When your dog is in my care, they’ll be treated like one of my own—with plenty of love, attention, patience, and care. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while they’re with me. 🐾❤️ I’m a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule for pet care. I’m also a part-time nursing student, but my school schedule is something I plan around, so I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m happy to work with your pet’s usual routine and will do my best to accommodate different schedules and needs. I’m also available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, and house sitting depending on my availability. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so I want you to feel completely confident that they’re in good hands. I treat every dog in my care like they’re part of my own family and make sure they receive plenty of supervision, attention, exercise, and affection. I’m also happy to follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable and at home.

Khloe had such a great time with Emma and her pup, and we could tell she was happy and well cared for. 🐶💕 I definitely recommend Emma’s services and wouldn’t hesitate to contact her again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our girl! 🐾❤️”

“Amanda was great! Our meet & greet was awesome, our dog Chase felt right at home during his stay. She made sure to always send pictures, videos and constantly keep us updated on Chase. I would definitely book with her again.”

Christle was amazing! Having never boarded my 2 lab mix pups before and one being on the older side, It was near impossible to find someone willing and trust worthy to leave my guys with. Daily updates and responsiveness are one thing, but knowing your pups are relaxed while you can be worry free was big! Thank you Christle! I highly recommend and will look to have her watch Bauer and Noodle again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
