About: I have been asked to take care of dogs/cats while family have been out of town on many occasions I have 3 of my own cats and niece and nephew cat (yes) lol also two puppers that are family a newphie and great Pyrenees. Animals are my family and I feel happier with them than I do with people. Depending on location I can be available when needed. I work from home I can be flexible as long as I am communicated with in a timely manner As I have three cats I wouldn’t be able to bring any other pets into my home as they are rescues who have severe anxiety and to keep my fur babies safe I would ask that they be respected and I can only make home visits. About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. Each of them provides an invaluable experiences that teaches me patience, compassion, and communication. I’m now the proud owner of a 11 month old cat, Balrog, and of a 13 year old chihuahua, Mia. Though I am a full time student and a part time kennel attendant, I am able to be more flexible with my schedule over summer break.
