“Noel and his family did a fantastic job with our puppy! They are well equipped and their our boy had a blast in their yard! Noel was amazing with sending updates and pictures. I would highly recommend!”

“★★★★★ Highly Recommended! Our dog Reba had a wonderful time with Kristin and Jay. Reba has some vision challenges, so finding caregivers who are patient, attentive, and understanding is extremely important to us. Kristin and Jay went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable, safe, and loved. From the moment we met them, we knew Reba was in great hands. They provided a calm, caring environment and treated her like part of the family. It was obvious that they genuinely care about the dogs they watch and take the time to understand each pet’s individual needs. We were able to relax and enjoy our time away knowing Reba was receiving excellent care. She came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We would not hesitate to use Kristin and Jay again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate pet sitters. Thank you both for taking such great care of Reba! 🐾❤️”

“Rebecca was so perfect for my Bubbles! It was our first time boarding him so we were a little nervous as to how he would do. Rebecca was very informative, professional, and made us feel so comfortable with leaving our baby with her for 2 nights! She sent us plenty of photos and videos throughout the weekend and kept us informed. Bubbles had a blast and came home exhausted from all the playing he had with the other doggies. We will definitely be using Rebecca's services again!”

“My dog was well cared for at Patricia’s. She has a nice clean home with a good set up for dogs. The backyard was fenced in and large. My dog is a little nervous, so placed with a lot of dogs is not good. Patricia limits the number of dogs she cares for at two, so I know my dog will get the attention she needs.”

“Melissa was very easy to deal with and our dog Sammy seems to have had a great time with her. Melissa gave us several updates on Sammy and sent us lots of pictures of her adventures. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone.”

“Our pup absolutely loves her stays with Kristin and we know she is in such good hands over there. We love getting all the updates from the adventures she has during her stay. Kristin even celebrated our pups birthday with some special treats during her stay. She goes above and beyond, and we truly appreciate her!”

“We asked Kristen to sit our dog Louie at her house for a weekend. She was just great with him--and we could see that from when we first met her. Our dog is a rescue so he can be a bit shy at first, but he warmed up immediately to Kristen. She is trustworthy, friendly, responsive and kind. 10/10 would book with Kristen again!”

“Our dog, who is a recent rescue and a little nervous, settled in quickly. Haoran sent us lots of updates and pictures, whichhelped us feel comfortable about her stay. We will definitely use her again!”

“We can’t say enough wonderful things about Kristina. She took great care of our dog who had never before been boarded or away from home without us. She was very communicative and quick to respond to any messages. We highly recommend her to other families!”

About: I love pets, they are the cutest addition to our lives. I have a dog of my own, she is 2 1/2 years old, very playful and friendly. I have had pets since childhood and love taking care of them, we have a house and a fenced yard, hence your pup is safe to play outdoors whenever they want. They are allowed on furniture too. Will love to take care of your precious little baby 😊 I work from home few times a week and my mom stays at home full time, so someone is always there to play with your pups and to take care of them. I have a fenced yard so they are safe when playing outdoors, I can take them on walks weather permitting, if they like to sleep in their crate they can do so too, potty breaks according to their schedule and have fun indoors. Will love to give them a safe place when they’re away from home 🏡
“Wonderful experience with this team. Definately would plan to work with them again. Thoughtful and sweet. My pouch enjoyed his time with them and they were very responsive. Loved getting pics of my pouch while he stayed with them.”

“First time leaving my baby girls and Nazim made the experience so relaxing and comforting. Extremely accommodating, even took in our last minute request. Excellent communication. We even received pictures of our girls lounging, going for walks and playing in his fence in yard. What an incredible experience through and through. 5 stars for sure. Will be leaving my baby girls with Nazim when in the area. All the best.”

Andrea was wonderful with our senior dog! I was so nervous about leaving him for more than a few days but it was obvious from her correspondence with us as well as pics and videos that he settled in and was happy and comfortable. I think he would have very happily stayed longer with Andrea and her sweet dog🐾.
Kristen was amazing! I felt really comfortable leaving Maggie with her and Maggie had a blast! Kristen asked great questions about how to take care of Maggie and communicated really well about how she was doing throughout the stay. I would definitely have Maggie stay with Kristen in the future!

Patty was wonderful with our younger pup while we were away on a preplanned vacation. It gave me such peace of mind knowing our dog was in a loving, caring home. I personally prefer having our dog stay at a sitter’s house rather than having someone come to ours, and this setup worked out perfectly. Patty has a nice, large yard and kept us updated regularly on how our pup was doing, which we really appreciated. Even though our puppy is still young and in the process of being trained, Patty was patient, supportive, and very understanding of his needs. She was also incredibly kind during the meet-and-greet and took the time to understand and follow our request for homemade food, which meant a lot to us. I would highly recommend Patty and am already looking forward to our pup’s next visit as he continues to grow.

Ana was truly amazing and we are very appreciative for her taking care of Nimbus. She was very attentive, kind and loving. Communication was excellent. We received so many photos, videos and updates throughout the day which helped put us at ease. We will definitely be booking with her again.

Jasmine was excellent! She understood that I was a bit nervous leaving my dog with a stranger for the first time. She sent me photos, a video, and updates that showed me that Finley was relaxed, happy and enjoying playing with her dog. I feel that Jasmine made Finley feel like he was part of her family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
