“Rachel did an amazing job with Finley. She was very responsive and made sure to ask questions to ensure he received the proper care while we were away. I accidentally sent her to our old address and she was very understand and still was willing to drive to our new address and take care of Finley. I will definitely be using Rachel in the future when our dog needs additional care!”

“Josh is a great cat sitter. He makes sure the cats has everything they need and is very responsive to messages. I highly recommend him and book with him whenever I go out of town.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dana is very detail oriented and responsible. My kitty loved her too. i went out of town unexpectedly and Dana was able to help last minute. We used the video chat feature to explain Bali’s needs and logistics and i sent pictures. Dana sent pictures specifically showing me how she was exactly followed instructions and showing Bali was content and eating well. Bali has kidney disease and so there were many very detailed instructions. I will definitely ask Dana to help again and recommend to my friends.”

“Rebecca was so great!! This was our first time leaving our puppy alone overnight and she made it so easy. She spent lots of quality time with her while we were away and sent lots of pictures so we knew she was in good hands. I would highly recommend Rebecca!”

“Erin was able accommodate looking in on my two kittens for a few days and helped me out very last minute. She was amazing with them, left us great pictures and made me feel 100% comfortable while I was away. Highly recommend Erin!!”

About: My entire life I have owned at least 3 pets. From foster cats, to my own cats, dogs, neighbors dogs, etc. I am a pet person through and through. I have a range of ages of animals I’ve taken care of - from dogs in elderly stages to 2 week old kittens. I am currently working from home Mon,Wed, Thursday, Fri. I’m constantly taking quick walks around the block during the day to keep my energy up and get outside. We have already cat sat in our apartment and everything went smoothly. We ensure doors are closed and locked at all times so there is a 0% chance of escaping. I live in between two parks as well which are always full of dogs to play in.
“As soon as I met Kira, I knew she was was going to fit perfectly for drop in visits for my 3 cats. I felt totally comfortable having her come in my house and feed my animals. In getting to know her and her work, she is friendly, conscientious, and has great attention to detail. I I really enjoyed getting her updates and great pictures of my cats!”

“Elizabeth was awesome! She is very patient and kind. She was also great with our rescue dog (Sophie) who was very shy and guarded when we first got her. Sophie would frequently bring things into the living room or destroy items she found, and Elizabeth would clean it up without hesitation. If you're looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and kind person, I highly recommend Elizabeth!”

About: I have been an animal (especially dog) lover my whole life. I have cared for all sized and all aged dogs. Besides my experience with my own lab who passed in February ‘25, I worked for a private pet care company for over 4 years. This included staying overnight in client’s homes, making daily visits, walking dogs, and caring for all types of animals, including cats and bunnies. Besides this professional work, friends and family have always relied on me to take care of their animals since I was little. I also regularly volunteer at a local rescue to walk and care for the dogs in kennel. Please reach out and we can set up a meet & greet!! I work part-time through the week, so I will have plenty of time to drop in for daily visits- whether that be walks or fetch in the backyard. Overnight stays won’t be an issue for me as well as long as it fits into my calendar. I am well experienced in walking all types of dogs (my dog was very strong on walks so no worries if your dog pulls!). I will always listen to directions given by owners and respect their home and belongings. I have always been well-trusted with my previous clients and there have never been any issues.
“Karinna was great. For my first time using Rover she definitely put me at ease. I loved seeing the updates and pictures. Will definitely be booking with Karinna again the next time I need a sitter.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years through both pet ownership and pet sitting. I currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever, so I’m comfortable with active, high-energy dogs and understand the importance of exercise, consistency, and routine. I’ve also cared for family members’ cats and have experience providing overnight care for dogs while owners are away. As a teacher, I’m dependable, organized, and attentive to details, and I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m a teacher and currently work summer school from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on weekdays, which gives me plenty of availability in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends if messaged. During the school year, I maintain a consistent schedule and am available before and after work for drop-in visits, walks, and pet care. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and I enjoy making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever of my own. I always follow the routines and instructions provided by owners, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and crate training if needed. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I provide plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I have been petsitting and housesitting for 12 years, caring for dogs of every shape, size, age, and temperament (as well as cats, fish, birds, and guinea pigs!). From untrained puppies to seniors, chihuahuas, to lab and pitbull mixes, I've done it all. I started off with my aunt's beagle, arriving every day after my classes to take her on walks, play in the yard, feed her, and give her attention. From there, I branched into caring for my coworkers dogs, and through these people's referrals, branched out from there. I grew up surrounded by dogs throughout my life and the joy and fun that comes from playing with them and taking them on adventures is unparalleled. I am fully available on weekdays and most weekends. I work as a wedding photographer so am not as busy during the winter months. My schedule is wide open! I can provide tons of flexibility I will match your schedule and style when caring for your babies. I’m very active and love exercise. I set alarms for feeding and medication times. I’ll give them lots of loving during relaxing time. I’ll do anything to help your pet feel happy all while keeping your home as clean as you left it

About: I have extensive experience in pet care, encompassing a wide range of animals from dogs and cats to birds and small mammals. My approach is rooted in understanding each pet's unique needs, ensuring they receive personalized attention and a comfortable environment. Whether it's providing daily exercise, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I am dedicated to the well-being and happiness of every animal under my care. Creating a daily routine for animals is essential for their physical and mental well-being. A structured schedule helps regulate their body clock, reduces anxiety, and promotes good behavior. This involves consistent feeding times, regular exercise, dedicated playtime, and scheduled rest periods, all tailored to the specific needs of the animal. By maintaining a predictable environment, animals feel secure and are more likely to thrive, leading to a happier and healthier life. Ensuring the safety of animals involves creating a secure and hazard-free environment. This includes identifying and removing potential dangers such as toxic substances, sharp objects, and unsecured spaces. It's also crucial to monitor animals closely during activities, providing appropriate supervision and intervention when necessary. Additionally, understanding species-specific safety measures, like proper leash handling for dogs or secure enclosures for small pets, is vital for preventing accidents and ensuring the well-being of the animals in your care.
About: I've been blessed to grow up with a pet best friend my entire life whether from dogs & cats to hamsters, guinea pigs, and parakeets. My wife and I will treat your pet as it is our own! My wife works remotely from home and I am a PhD student with a flexible schedule and weekend availability. Our schedules allow for frequent walks, bathroom breaks, play time, and lots of attention. We also have a rescued 1yr old goldendoodle who is neutered and loves other dogs. Your pet will never feel alone! While safety is our top priority, your pet's happiness and care is just as important. We live in a 3-story townhouse with an unfenced yard but live across the street from a park where we take our dog on daily walks. There also a few nearby dog parks if you prefer for your dog to run off-leash. Your pet will have full range to our entire home and we will make sure they feel right at home!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Manchester
I always love having Elyse take care of my boys. She’s so thoughtful to make sure that their health is at the top of mind by making sure to get video and photos of anything that looks odd. As a mom of a cat with diabetes and allergies, this makes it easier to leave them. Thank you!

We are so glad we found Lisa! She is absolutely excellent—reliable, trustworthy, and professional in every way. Her communication is great, sent texts and photos and we felt comfortable and confident having her in our home taking care of our cat. It’s such a relief to be able to go away knowing everything is in great hands. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Manchester. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
