“Our first experience using Rover was a win! Karinna made a great impression at our meet and greet- an obvious dog lover- and then gave detailed updates of her visits with Finn. We greatly appreciate her attentive care which allowed us to enjoy our time away without worry. We would not hesitate to ask for Karinna in the future!”

About: *** NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS IN CHICAGO DUE TO UPCOMING MOVE *** In my neighborhood back home, I was the resident dog/house/baby-sitter for several years, especially as I got into high school and had more independence. I always had at least one dog at home, from birth to age 17. Now I'm living in an apartment with my husband, who also adores dogs, but unfortunately, we cannot have a dog in the place we live at this time. Going over 6 years without a dog at home has been challenging for me because I love spending time with animals. I know firsthand that it can be very nerve-wracking to entrust your sweet pup with someone, especially someone you don't know. You can rest assured that when I spend time with your dog or in your home, I will treat your fur baby and your property with the utmost respect. Your dog's safety and comfort are my #1 priority at all times. I am a teacher, so I work weekdays 8 am - 3 pm. However, teaching gives me the opportunity to spend an 8-week-long summer break caring for dogs in Chicago! Additionally, I can care for your pet on weekends during the school year (Sept-June), as well as during some holiday breaks. Your dog's safety and comfort are my #1 priority at all times. When your dog is in my care, you can be confident that they will be fed, given water, let outside, taken for walks, and genuinely loved while you are away. I respect that every person/family has a different type of schedule for their dog, and I fully intend to execute that schedule to the best of my ability so that you can pick up your daily routine right where you left off. Additionally, I always use a leash when walking with a dog or spending time outside with them. Again, your dog's safety and comfort always come first.

Kevin J.

“We needed someone to feed our elderly cats and give them their pills twice a day (a real challenge) while we were away for four days. Our usual sitter wasn't available, so we found Kevin on Rover, and we are so glad we did. He is friendly, responsible, and clearly likes cats as much as dogs. He was able to give our cats their pills after a few tries with me coaching and watching. I figured if he could do it under that pressure, he could do it without me looking over his shoulder. He texted us several times while we were away to let us know that the cats had their meds and their food on schedule. Also, although Rover wouldn't let me set our account up for cats, Kevin was able to adjust the pricing on his end accordingly, so it all worked out. Rover, however, should modify their site so that cat owners can use it more easily.”

Kira W.

“My babies love Kira! She took great care of them while I was gone, she was communicative and sent lots of pictures. I would definitely book with her again!”

Jamie C.

“Jamie was a great person to watch our two dogs over a long weekend. One of our dogs can be fussy with new people, but both of them took to her right away! She was very dependable with updates and I plan to have her watch the dogs again. Five stars!”

Sarah C.

“Sarah is a sweetheart! I was confident she was going to be able to handle my diabetic dogs needs and she didn’t disappoint. I will definitely hire her again. Boe was very comfortable with her.?”

Kathy L.
“Kathy was fantastic with my dog, Chewy! She was very attentive to him and followed our instructions carefully. Kathy is great at communicating and gave us updates throughout the time she watched Chewy.”

Connie S.
“Not only does Connie treat their own pets with love, they also care for others pets as their own. When Connie has pet sat for my two cats, I know I've left my fur babies in good hands.”

Brittany M.
About: I can’t remember a time where there wasn’t an animal in my house growing up. From rodents, cats, to every size dog, we always had several! Animals are the heart of any home & finding someone you trust to treat your fur babies like their own is so important! I work an on call schedule so I’m around quite often. My schedule is flexible so whether you need someone to bring your pup on a longer walk, have some play time or a potty break, I’m around! When I purchased my home, making sure there would be a decent sized fenced in yard for my 3 dogs was a must! Ample space for the dogs to run and play was extremely important to me. I treat any and all animals like they’re my own, and your home will be treated as such.

Amanda W.

“Amanda did a great job with our 3 dogs! They loved her and we felt secure knowing they were well cared for. Amanda was very flexible when we added an additional day to our trip. We’ll definitely have Amanda pet sit again!!?”

Marijo P.

“She's the best! I've used her multiple times because I trust her and know she will go above and beyond to make sure my cats are well taken care of.”
