“Maryssa took such great care of our crazy kittens and dog! We’re in the early stages of introducing them and they couldn’t be out at the same time. She kept them separate, got the dog out to play, and let the kittens loose in the house for their own fun. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I am certified in pet first aid and CPR, and am very serious when it comes to pet care, safety, and health. I have experience in pet care through all stages (puppy - senior), and complex medical cases. Each dog and cat is an individual with their own needs, wants, and traits that need to be fulfilled and noticed. BOARDING & DAYCARE: I LOVE pet care, and providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment. I understand how important it is to choose the right person to take care of your beloved dog or cat. My primary focus will be the safety of all pets in the house. I will also make sure you feel happy and comfortable that your pet is in my homeby going through all of the details before your pets stay, and updating you with pictures and videos! **Dogs MUST be fully potty trained** DROP IN VISITS: Playing, potty, feeding, cuddling, bathing... I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure your pet is both happy and safe! PLEASE NOTE: - I work full time. On Fridays, I get home around at 1:45pm. - I will accept boarding OR daycare. I cannot accommodate both arrangements on the same days. - If you have one dog and more than one cat, I will accept them all. I will have a private, separate room for your cats. - I would like as much notice as possible to set up the pet care arrangement! I have a fenced in yard and a female dog, Sophie, who is very friendly and playful! I will always monitor them and never leave them alone without supervision. Our cats are blocked off by door at the top of stairs (they'll stay on the second floor). My previous dog, Johnny, passed away in 2024 and throughout his life he experienced health issues that required daily oral medication (epilepsy and hypothyroidism, and during the last 6 months of his life he had Cushing's Disease). I am experienced in how complicated medication and health issues are in pets. I make sure our home is a calm environment filled with toys, playtime, cuddles, and mentally stimulating activities. My goal is to do what's best for the individual dog/cat and make them feel both safe and loved! If your pet needs their own private space, there is a private room that will be changed to fit the dog or cat's needs. The set up will include toys, their own items, and washable mats on the floor that will be washed/disinfected before use. ****To ensure the safety of all pets in the household, I need to see the most recent Vet paperwork showing your pet is up to date on vaccines and does not have a contractable health issue. ****Your pet MUST NOT be aggressive. Your dog MUST be fully potty trained.
About: The best part of any give day for me is usually seeing a dog or cat. I’ve been recommended by friends and neighbors to take care of their lovable critters and figured I’d give Rover a try! I am currently working part time and have plenty of flexibility when it comes to pet care opportunities. I like to spend more time rather than less when it comes to lovable pets. I enjoy playing with pets if they are the playful type. If not, then I’m comfortable just being there with them. Sometimes they just don’t want to be alone. But if the zoomies kick in, I can keep up!
About: For the past couple of years I have been pet sitting for a colleague and friend of mine and I absolutely love it. I have experience with dealing with dogs with some special needs and I am more than welcome to learn. The youngest I have had was 4 years old and then all the way up to 15 years old. Let me take the load off your shoulders and be able to take care of your fur babies. Though I love dogs, please know that I REALLY love cats too. I am catgirl at heart so please be rest assured that I will take amazing care of them as well. I used to have a feral cat, now with my loving parents 🐈. Currently I have three, so I also do know how it can be when not everyone gets along. Almost everyone in my life owns a cat, so I hope that gives some perspective :). So yes. I’m here for your dog.. but I am also here for the cat folks too 🐾. I have a very flexible schedule due to my job. It allows for myself to create my own schedule so it not only makes my life easier but could very well make yours too. Weekends I have availability and during the week it varies! I care for the pets in my own life allowing them to roam wherever they desire. Besides some closest but they always make their way .
“My cat always loves seeing Eve! She is great about providing detailed updates and sending lots of photos/videos. I fully trust Eve to take care of Grace while I’m away!”

“Fruzsina was absolutely amazing with Ahmi! She sent detailed updates and photos after every visit, was so patient while Ahmi adjusted, and genuinely cared about making her feel comfortable. She paid close attention to Ahmi's behavior and kept us informed about everything. By the end of the week, Ahmi had really warmed up to her and was excited for their walks, which meant so much to us. It's clear she truly loves animals and treats them like her own. We felt completely at ease knowing Ahmi was in such caring hands. We would absolutely book with Fruzsina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and compassionate pet sitter!”

About: ⸻ What sets me apart from other sitters is my calm, intuitive approach to animal care—think “Mary Poppins meets animal whisperer.” I don’t just watch pets; I create a nurturing, structured environment where they feel safe, loved, and engaged. I have experience with a wide range of animals, from playful puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and gentle handling. I’m comfortable with administering medication, managing special diets, and adapting routines to meet each pet’s physical and emotional needs. For puppies, I focus on positive reinforcement, helping with basic training, crate comfort, and establishing good habits early on. For senior pets, I provide thoughtful care—whether that’s supporting mobility, sticking to precise medication schedules, or simply offering quiet companionship. Beyond the basics, I bring a warm energy, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals that always shines through. My goal is for both pets and their humans to feel completely at ease—like they’ve found a sitter who’s not just capable, but truly cares. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine—it’s not something I squeeze in; it’s something I prioritize. Whether I’m walking dogs, administering medication, or simply spending quiet time with a senior pet, I structure my schedule to ensure each animal gets consistent, focused attention. I plan my days around the needs of the pets in my care, from early morning potty breaks to evening feedings and bedtime routines. I also build in time for play, enrichment, and cuddles—because emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical care. If I’m caring for multiple pets or have bookings throughout the week, I stay organized with detailed notes, reminders, and plenty of communication with owners. For me, caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s a rhythm I genuinely enjoy being part of. Pet care for clients home • Feeding & Fresh Water: Administer meals according to the pet’s schedule and dietary needs. • Daily Exercise & Play: Walks, fetch, playtime, or enrichment activities based on the pet’s energy level. • Routine Maintenance: Cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, and ensuring the area is tidy. • Medication Administration: If required, administer medications or supplements as instructed. • Home Care: Bringing in mail, watering plants, adjusting lights, and maintaining a lived-in appearance. • Communication: Sending daily updates, photos, or videos to the client.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years through both pet ownership and pet sitting. I currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever, so I’m comfortable with active, high-energy dogs and understand the importance of exercise, consistency, and routine. I’ve also cared for family members’ cats and have experience providing overnight care for dogs while owners are away. As a teacher, I’m dependable, organized, and attentive to details, and I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m a teacher and currently work summer school from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on weekdays, which gives me plenty of availability in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends if messaged. During the school year, I maintain a consistent schedule and am available before and after work for drop-in visits, walks, and pet care. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and I enjoy making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever of my own. I always follow the routines and instructions provided by owners, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and crate training if needed. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I provide plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“My job calls me in from time to time with little time to plan for a sitter. She is available to me even on very little notice. My dog is smiling in all the picture updates which makes me feel so good!”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of genuine care, attentiveness, and patience I bring to every pet I work with. I treat every animal as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in my care. I have experience with a wide range of pets, from energetic puppies who need consistent training and structure, to senior dogs requiring gentle handling, medication, and a slower pace. I’m confident in reading animal behavior and adjusting to their needs, whether that means helping a shy pet come out of their shell or keeping a high-energy pup mentally and physically stimulated. I’m also reliable, clean, and communicative with pet parents so you always feel at ease while you’re away. I’m currently home for the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility and time to dedicate to your furry friend! I absolutely love getting my steps in—so walks, playtime, and keeping your pet active are right up my alley. Whether it’s a game of tug-of-war, fetch, or working their brain with fun puzzles, I’m all about keeping pets happy, healthy, and mentally stimulated. What sets me apart is the energy and attentiveness I bring to every visit. I don’t just “watch” pets—I engage with them, connect with them, and make sure they feel safe and loved. Whether your pup needs structured walks or your senior dog needs a little extra care and patience, I’ve got them covered. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I make it a priority to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet can thrive. In my home, I keep things clean, cozy, and pet-friendly. I stick to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible—meals, walks, playtime, and even snuggle time. I make sure they feel like part of the family, with lots of attention, enrichment, and love throughout the day.
“Tiarra was excellent with our pet. She was able to calm our dog during our time away. He had never been left alone in his life. This was a big deal!!!! Tiarra will definitely be my “go to” when we need services. She did an amazing job & we tipped 😊”

About: I’ve spent the last three years working professionally in animal care, managing busy doggy daycares and looking after pups of every breed. Because of my professional background, I’m attuned to dog body language and safety. I love building bonds with each individual dog and making sure they get the exact structure, playtime, and love they deserve while you’re away!
About: Hello pet parents! I find great fulfillment in caring for and nurturing your pets. Caring for pets also gives me a wonderful outlet to indulge my intense and immense love for dogs! While I might lack decades of experience working with our furry friends, I believe I more than make up for it with my enthusiasm for learning and affection for doggies! All I can promise is that you shall not regret working with me! I work from home remotely for my day job, which affords me plenty of spare time to spend with your fur babies! The nature of my job also enables me to take my furry friends out for a walk during working hours no problem. I am available for walks and drop in visits on all weekdays; for your dog boarding or house sitting needs, I am available seven days a week. I have a family member living with me who is retired and stays home full time, so there will be at least one responsible adult looking after your precious pet(s) at all times!

We had our first drop in visit with Elyse today and she was great. We have a new puppy at home and I was worried about leaving her home alone for too long and having Elyse come by alleviated that. Elyse left a detailed note letting us know about the session and shared photos that put my mind at ease!

This is my first experience using Rover and I couldn’t be happier. Katherine has been wonderful with my anxious 10 year old labradoodle. His mid day check in session has made life so much easier. I don’t have to rush home from work worried that he has been alone all day. Communication has been great. I love the report cards. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
