Kira is great! As a new puppy mom she offered so many helpful tips and tricks to get my pup in line with potty training and biting. Communication is easy and great too. She’s very understanding with changes in schedule due to school days and COVID. Definitely my go to girl to make sure my pup gets love on my long days at work!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always responsible for our family dogs, and that sense of accountability has stayed with me. I care for every dog with love, structure, and clear expectations—just like I do for my own. It’s not just about affection; it’s about creating a safe, balanced environment where dogs thrive. I’m home full-time and available to walk your pup anytime between 8 AM and 7 PM, any day of the week. I’ll make sure they get a solid, energizing walk so they’re happy and relaxed by the time you get home. I have a friendly, medium-sized, hypoallergenic female dog who is fully vaccinated and always wears her Seresto flea and tick collar. If your pup stays with us, they’ll be in a clean, pet-friendly home. I’m happy to set up their crate if that’s where they feel most comfortable — just let me know what they need! We also have two young kids (ages 5 and 2) who love dogs. They enjoy gently playing and tossing the ball for our furry guests, always under supervision to make sure everyone feels safe and happy.

About: I have been an animal (especially dog) lover my whole life. I have cared for all sized and all aged dogs. Besides my experience with my own lab who passed in February ‘25, I worked for a private pet care company for over 4 years. This included staying overnight in client’s homes, making daily visits, walking dogs, and caring for all types of animals, including cats and bunnies. Besides this professional work, friends and family have always relied on me to take care of their animals since I was little. I also regularly volunteer at a local rescue to walk and care for the dogs in kennel. Please reach out and we can set up a meet & greet!! I work part-time through the week, so I will have plenty of time to drop in for daily visits- whether that be walks or fetch in the backyard. Overnight stays won’t be an issue for me as well as long as it fits into my calendar. I am well experienced in walking all types of dogs (my dog was very strong on walks so no worries if your dog pulls!). I will always listen to directions given by owners and respect their home and belongings. I have always been well-trusted with my previous clients and there have never been any issues.

About: I have two rescue dogs, one of which I have owned for 8+ years. I also volunteer at a local rescue where I take dogs out of the kennel for walks on a regular basis. On top of my love for dogs, I am a teacher, so I am responsible and caring. I am a teacher, but I do not teach every day of the week and have summers and breaks off, so I am available many days to help take care of your pets and their needs. I also have owned dogs for the last 8 years and have experience with all aspects of pet care. I have experience with dogs at a kennel, so I am used to making sure dogs are safe and well taken care of. I am careful to make sure doors are secure and leashes/harnesses are properly put on to secure the safety of your pet. I have experience putting dogs in and taking them out of a crate. Your dogs safety is top priority.

About: ⸻ What sets me apart from other sitters is my calm, intuitive approach to animal care—think “Mary Poppins meets animal whisperer.” I don’t just watch pets; I create a nurturing, structured environment where they feel safe, loved, and engaged. I have experience with a wide range of animals, from playful puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and gentle handling. I’m comfortable with administering medication, managing special diets, and adapting routines to meet each pet’s physical and emotional needs. For puppies, I focus on positive reinforcement, helping with basic training, crate comfort, and establishing good habits early on. For senior pets, I provide thoughtful care—whether that’s supporting mobility, sticking to precise medication schedules, or simply offering quiet companionship. Beyond the basics, I bring a warm energy, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals that always shines through. My goal is for both pets and their humans to feel completely at ease—like they’ve found a sitter who’s not just capable, but truly cares. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine—it’s not something I squeeze in; it’s something I prioritize. Whether I’m walking dogs, administering medication, or simply spending quiet time with a senior pet, I structure my schedule to ensure each animal gets consistent, focused attention. I plan my days around the needs of the pets in my care, from early morning potty breaks to evening feedings and bedtime routines. I also build in time for play, enrichment, and cuddles—because emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical care. If I’m caring for multiple pets or have bookings throughout the week, I stay organized with detailed notes, reminders, and plenty of communication with owners. For me, caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s a rhythm I genuinely enjoy being part of. Pet care for clients home • Feeding & Fresh Water: Administer meals according to the pet’s schedule and dietary needs. • Daily Exercise & Play: Walks, fetch, playtime, or enrichment activities based on the pet’s energy level. • Routine Maintenance: Cleaning litter boxes, picking up waste, and ensuring the area is tidy. • Medication Administration: If required, administer medications or supplements as instructed. • Home Care: Bringing in mail, watering plants, adjusting lights, and maintaining a lived-in appearance. • Communication: Sending daily updates, photos, or videos to the client.

About: I am certified in pet first aid and CPR, and am very serious when it comes to pet care, safety, and health. I have experience in pet care through all stages (puppy - senior), and complex medical cases. Each dog and cat is an individual with their own needs, wants, and traits that need to be fulfilled and noticed. BOARDING & DAYCARE: I LOVE pet care, and providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment. I understand how important it is to choose the right person to take care of your beloved dog or cat. My primary focus will be the safety of all pets in the house. I will also make sure you feel happy and comfortable that your pet is in my homeby going through all of the details before your pets stay, and updating you with pictures and videos! **Dogs MUST be fully potty trained** DROP IN VISITS: Playing, potty, feeding, cuddling, bathing... I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure your pet is both happy and safe! PLEASE NOTE: - I work full time. On Fridays, I get home around at 1:45pm. - I will accept boarding OR daycare. I cannot accommodate both arrangements on the same days. - If you have one dog and more than one cat, I will accept them all. I will have a private, separate room for your cats. - I would like as much notice as possible to set up the pet care arrangement! I have a fenced in yard and a female dog, Sophie, who is very friendly and playful! I will always monitor them and never leave them alone without supervision. Our cats are blocked off by door at the top of stairs (they'll stay on the second floor). My previous dog, Johnny, passed away in 2024 and throughout his life he experienced health issues that required daily oral medication (epilepsy and hypothyroidism, and during the last 6 months of his life he had Cushing's Disease). I am experienced in how complicated medication and health issues are in pets. I make sure our home is a calm environment filled with toys, playtime, cuddles, and mentally stimulating activities. My goal is to do what's best for the individual dog/cat and make them feel both safe and loved! If your pet needs their own private space, there is a private room that will be changed to fit the dog or cat's needs. The set up will include toys, their own items, and washable mats on the floor that will be washed/disinfected before use. ****To ensure the safety of all pets in the household, I need to see the most recent Vet paperwork showing your pet is up to date on vaccines and does not have a contractable health issue. ****Your pet MUST NOT be aggressive. Your dog MUST be fully potty trained.

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of genuine care, attentiveness, and patience I bring to every pet I work with. I treat every animal as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in my care. I have experience with a wide range of pets, from energetic puppies who need consistent training and structure, to senior dogs requiring gentle handling, medication, and a slower pace. I’m also reliable, clean, and communicative with pet parents so you always feel at ease while you’re away. I’m currently home for the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility and time to dedicate to your furry friend! Whether it’s a game of tug-of-war, fetch, or working their brain with fun puzzles, I’m all about keeping pets happy, healthy, and mentally stimulated. What sets me apart is the energy and attentiveness I bring to every visit. I don’t just “watch” pets—I engage with them, connect with them, and make sure they feel safe and loved. Whether your pup needs structured walks or your senior dog needs a little extra care and patience, I’ve got them covered. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I make it a priority to create a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet can thrive. In my home, I keep things clean, cozy, and pet-friendly. I stick to your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible—meals, walks, playtime, and even snuggle time. I make sure they feel like part of the family, with lots of attention, enrichment, and love throughout the day.

About: My entire life I have owned at least 3 pets. From foster cats, to my own cats, dogs, neighbors dogs, etc. I am a pet person through and through. I have a range of ages of animals I’ve taken care of - from dogs in elderly stages to 2 week old kittens. I am currently working from home Mon,Wed, Thursday, Fri. I’m constantly taking quick walks around the block during the day to keep my energy up and get outside. We have already cat sat in our apartment and everything went smoothly. We ensure doors are closed and locked at all times so there is a 0% chance of escaping. I live in between two parks as well which are always full of dogs to play in.

About: Since I can remember I have always been around dogs and cats in my life, mostly rescues, who needed training and caring for. I currently pet sit for my family when they are away, and walk dogs for family friends. When I was a professional cleaner I encountered all breeds and ages of cats and dogs every single day so I am very comfortable around all types of pets. I especially love and have experience with pitty breeds as well as experience with some reactive cats and know what to do to gain their trust. When not taking care or animals, I am a freelance dancer and choreographer! I take dance class some evenings and may have a weekend show or rehearsals. Other than that, I am readily available especially during the morning, afternoons, and later in the evenings/overnight for your furry friends! Before we officially book, I will make sure we have a meet and greet so that your pet can get to know me as we talk about all your needs for my visit! Along with any of your pet's special needs, I will ask you to leave me with any emergency contact information just in case anything were to happen, as well as my personal contact info. I also will send you updates for your peace of mind as well as some adorable pictures of your pet(s)!

Ifan is truly an exceptional dog handler, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very first time we worked with him, it was clear that he brings both professionalism and genuine care to what he does. He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable about dog behavior, which immediately put me at ease as a pet owner. He takes the time to understand each dog’s personality, needs, and routines, and it really shows in how comfortable and happy the dogs are around him. What stands out the most is how naturally he connects with the pups. My dog can be a bit particular when it comes to new people, but with Ifan, the bond was instant. Over time, that connection has only grown stronger—my pup gets excited every time he sees him, which says everything about the level of trust and comfort Ifan builds. It’s such a relief knowing that my dog is not just being looked after, but genuinely cared for and understood. Ifan is also incredibly polite, respectful, and communicative. He keeps me updated, is always punctual, and is very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I’ve used his services repeatedly, and each experience has been consistently excellent. Whether it’s handling high-energy playtime, maintaining routines, or just giving the dogs attention and affection, he does it all effortlessly. Overall, Ifan goes above and beyond what you would expect from a dog sitter or handler. His dedication, kindness, and expertise make him someone you can fully trust with your pet. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and professional dog care.

About: I’ve taken care of different types of animals for friends and family all throughout high school as well as helped another friend who uses Rover. I’ve taken care of animals including hamsters, rabbits, dogs, cats, and lizards. I unfortunately can’t house animals because of apartment rules but can provide frequent care, check ins, and over night care for your pets! I was a part time student then started working full time to focus on saving money to help me become more financially independent. PLEASE READ!!!! I work Weds- Sat nights. I’d be gone from your home 5:30pm-5am. These times can also vary depending on my available time off. I work at Amazon so my schedule is semi-flexible BUT if you are uncomfortable or your pet is not used to this amount of time alone, another sitter is better suited for your needs. I appreciate you viewing my profile and considering me! While inside a clients home I’d treat it like my own, clean any mess made, lock doors and windows, feed and walk dogs, change cat litter, as well as anything you may need done in your house while you’re away!

About: I am a huge animal person and have been around dogs most of my life. I currently have a 7 year old (30lb) dog that we rescued as a puppy. She is a sweet girl and is use to having a companion (since we also had a spaniel for 17 years that recently passed away) so she is comfortable with other dogs. We also foster puppies and have experience with many different breeds and personalities! While you're away, working, or just have other plans that can't include your pet, he or she is welcome to stay with us or I can come to you. Either way, I will strive to make your furry family member feel comfortable and cared for. During the day, your pet will get plenty of attention. I currently work from home full time, which allows more flexibility with outside breaks and neighborhood walks. While I work, I will be in the same room as your pet so they will never feel alone. As far as basic care and house rules go, their feeding schedule can be flexible and adjusted to match his/her schedule at home. They are allow to roam the main areas of our home and snuggle up on the couch as they wish!

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Vernon with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vernon. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
