I learned early how to care for them with patience, structure, and love. Whether it’s long walks, backyard fetch, cuddles on the couch, or helping with special needs or routines, I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy and secure. You can count on great communication, timely updates, and lots of photos while you’re gone! I work mostly remote, which allows me to provide structure, attention, and consistent care for your pet throughout the day. I’m able to take regular breaks for walks, playtime, and outdoor enrichment, and I’m committed to meeting your pup where they are—whether that’s extra exercise or calm companionship. I also have a 10½-year-old tripawd Labrador who is incredibly gentle and loves greeting new friends. If your dog enjoys company, he’s happy to join; if not, I can easily separate spaces to keep everyone comfortable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I’m experienced working with dogs of different ages, abilities, and temperaments, and I’m happy to accommodate individual needs, including crating or keeping pets separated if that makes them most comfortable. I have a gentle, friendly 10½-year-old tripawd Labrador who loves companionship, but I’m always attentive to body language and personality to ensure every pet feels secure, relaxed, and cared for.

About: I have had dogs all my life, I am very well-versed in dog walking, feeding, and playing, and I have taken part in training all my family dogs. I have dog sat since I was a teen for a neighborhood Dalmatian growing up. I am loving and caring for dogs and cats. I have a 1-year-old wolfhound mutt who loves other dogs and people and loves play dates. I work in west Hartford so I can dog walk in that area T-F 3:45-4:45 Vernon areas T-F 4:45-7:45 pm Saturday and Sundays time are flexible I work full-time as a preschool teacher at the American School for the Deaf and am currently in my last year of grad school for my Special Education Master's. I live in Vernon with my fiancée and our son and dog. we are well versed in extra curricular for our son, taekwondo and swimming lessons but always have time to take our pup for a walk or to the dog park for some fetch. I am comfortable letting your dog in and out of the crate, taking them on walks, and taking them for a playdate with my dog if they are dog-friendly. there is a fenced in dog park in Vernon we can play at as well

About: Hello and welcome to our Rover page! My name is Katie, and my husband Matt and I are a pet-loving family with two daughters, Autumn (11) and Keiley (8), who absolutely adore animals and are gentle, respectful, and experienced around dogs. I grew up with dogs and cats my entire life, and over the past 13 years of marriage, Matt and I raised two amazing dogs, Bella and Jack. They were truly our first babies and meant the world to us. After losing them due to age and health, we realized we’re not quite ready to start over with a new dog of our own. Instead, we’ve found so much joy in opening our home to care for other families’ dogs while they travel. This journey began during a time of transition for our family, and while it has helped us financially, the truth is—we do this because we genuinely love dogs. Every pup that comes into our home is treated like a member of the family, with plenty of love, attention, belly rubs, and cuddles. We don’t offer anything less than that. We provide everything your dog may need during their stay, including crates, dog gates, beds, bowls, and treats. Dogs enjoy outdoor time on a leash or lead (we do not have a fenced yard), as well as regular walks and playtime. Three days a week, either Matt or I are home full-time, ensuring your pup has plenty of companionship and minimal alone time. We currently host a maximum of two dogs at a time to ensure each one receives the attention they deserve. In the rare case of a double booking, we always communicate with both families beforehand to make sure everyone is comfortable. We also offer doggy daycare on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We’ve been lucky to meet so many wonderful families and pups, and we would love the opportunity to meet you and yours next. Please feel free to reach out—we can’t wait to welcome your dog into our home! I currently work part-time which allows me more time to be home to care for your pups. Our current schedule is Mondays and Fridays pups would be alone. Tuesdays and Thursdays Matt works from home. And Wednesday is my day off. Dogs will either be walked or can be on a lead for more area with someone outside with them. Dogs will receive a lot of attention from all of us.

About: I have always been surrounded by pets; enjoy giving plenty of attention; and have cared for their well-being (bathing, administering medications, monitoring recuperations after illness/surgery). I work full-time during the school year (August 20 - June 15; leave home at 7:30 a.m. and I am home by 4:30 p.m.) and have my evenings and weekends free. During the summer I am home and available during the daytime as well. I am available for check-ins, walks, and stays. Your companion would be cared for by keeping to his/her routine/schedule, keeping them safe, following any additional instructions, and giving them lots of attention and playtime.

About: I have been an animal (especially dog) lover my whole life. I have cared for all sized and all aged dogs. Besides my experience with my own lab who passed in February ‘25, I worked for a private pet care company for over 4 years. This included staying overnight in client’s homes, making daily visits, walking dogs, and caring for all types of animals, including cats and bunnies. Besides this professional work, friends and family have always relied on me to take care of their animals since I was little. I also regularly volunteer at a local rescue to walk and care for the dogs in kennel. Please reach out and we can set up a meet & greet!! I work part-time through the week, so I will have plenty of time to drop in for daily visits- whether that be walks or fetch in the backyard. Overnight stays won’t be an issue for me as well as long as it fits into my calendar. I am well experienced in walking all types of dogs (my dog was very strong on walks so no worries if your dog pulls!). I will always listen to directions given by owners and respect their home and belongings. I have always been well-trusted with my previous clients and there have never been any issues.
