Availability
I have flexible availability, so I can meet many scheduling needs, depending on when i have other walks scheduled and other activities. Tuesdays during the day are usually difficult, for instance. I tend to be more selective with recurring walks, to make sure i can commit properly to helping a dog long term, but because of that I'm very reliable with any recurring bookings i accept. I do need to meet animals ahead of time, so I'm not able to do first walks on a short term basis.

The safety of any pets in my care is my first concern. I will monitor the environment, avoid other animals and do everything in my power to ensure any animals in my care are kept happy and healthy. to that end, i also require that i meet pets ahead of time, to be certain that both myself and the pets remain safe.

Any information on a dog's behavior is helpful. of particular note: How they respond to the sight of other dogs; how strong a prey drive they have; anything that elicits a fear response; if food or a toy motivates them; or if they have guarding behaviors. the more information I have the better prepared I am to make a dog's walk a happy and healthy experience.
A typical day
I try and customize a walk based on what I'm seeing from a dog- how engaged they are, how willing to run they seem, that sort of thing. During the summer i try and keep the dog in shade. I also do my best to keep dogs away from other animals, to cut down on the chance for any incidents.

Pet care experience
I've dog sat and dog walked for family and friends since I was a child and through rover for four years now. I have experience with a number of different breeds and age ranges, including my own dog Hank, who I've had since he was a pup,As a walker I have experience with elderly dogs, energetic dogs and very young dogs.
