Animals I am comfortable caring for: dogs, cats, birds, snakes and other reptiles, small pets (ex. rats, hamsters), fish Hi! My name is Kira, and I'm a former dog trainer from North Carolina. I made a career change to something less physically demanding, but that doesn't mean I don't want to work with and be around new pets ALL the time! Animals are my greatest joy in life. My pets are my family and the light of my world. I'll treat your pets with the same love and care as my own. In addition to having worked professionally as a dog trainer, I also worked at a vet clinic while I was in school, so have experience with handling different animals, as well as giving a variety of medications such as shots, not just pills. I work full time, 7am-3pm, but live 10 minutes from work. I am able to leave work early to accommodate medical needs for pets in my care as long as I have advanced notice, provided they are within a 10-15 minute drive of my workplace.

I always follow whatever care instructions have been provided for me, and am very quick to message pet parents if I need clarification on something or have a time sensitive question or update. I’ll always take tons of pictures for you, so you can see how your baby is doing!

Kira is the absolute best. It’s very stressful leaving my senior cats as they have particular health and medical needs now but Kira makes it so easy. She is reliable, communicative, and very knowledgeable. I never worry about their care when I’m able to book her. Highly recommended!
Kira is an experienced, knowledgable and professional petsitter! Both my cat and I love Kira!! She checked every little thing with me, learned ALL OF MY STEPS QUICKLY, was highly responsive and got along really well with my cat! I feel grateful and lucky to have found such a trustworthy, and caring person right in my own neighborhood!

Our dog Jack loved his walks with Kira! He was so excited to see her and she always had a big hug for him. Kira was very prompt and reliable, always gave us a report on Jack's walk, and was aware of his fatigue on warm days, and adjusted his walk accordingly. He is an older dog, and we were very grateful to Kira for helping us to exercise Jack following my surgery. We will definitely request Kira again in the future.

Schedule
I work generally from 7-3:30, M-F. I can pop in early mornings before work, or any time after 3-3:30ish on weekdays. I am generally available any time on weekends.
