She cared for our cats during an unpredicted and unprecedented blizzard that occurred while we were out of the country (before we left, 3-4 inches max were predicted and instead it was 1-2 feet!). In typical Rachel fashion she proactively communicated, worked out a plan to ensure the cats were safe and fed during the blizzard, and even checked the feedback from our automatic feeders on the days she was unable to physically get to them. She provided valuable feedback on our snow removal situation that helped us ensure the way was cleared and safe from afar. Our very shy kitty Misty felt safe enough to play with Rachel, and by the end of our trip she did not run or hide when Rachel came in (which is unheard of!). Rachel is thoughtful, detailed, reliable, an excellent communicator, and creates an environment where my cats are not only well cared for but feel safe and comfortable as well. BOARDING & DAYCARE: I LOVE pet care, and providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment. I understand how important it is to choose the right person to take care of your beloved dog or cat. My primary focus will be the safety of all pets in the house. I will also make sure you feel happy and comfortable that your pet is in my homeby going through all of the details before your pets stay, and updating you with pictures and videos! **Dogs MUST be fully potty trained** DROP IN VISITS: Playing, potty, feeding, cuddling, bathing... I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure your pet is both happy and safe! PLEASE NOTE: - I work full time. On Fridays, I get home around at 1:45pm. - I will accept boarding OR daycare. I cannot accommodate both arrangements on the same days. - If you have one dog and more than one cat, I will accept them all. I will have a private, separate room for your cats. - I would like as much notice as possible to set up the pet care arrangement! I have a fenced in yard and a female dog, Sophie, who is very friendly and playful! I will always monitor them and never leave them alone without supervision. Our cats are blocked off by door at the top of stairs (they'll stay on the second floor). My previous dog, Johnny, passed away in 2024 and throughout his life he experienced health issues that required daily oral medication (epilepsy and hypothyroidism, and during the last 6 months of his life he had Cushing's Disease). I am experienced in how complicated medication and health issues are in pets. I make sure our home is a calm environment filled with toys, playtime, cuddles, and mentally stimulating activities. My goal is to do what's best for the individual dog/cat and make them feel both safe and loved! If your pet needs their own private space, there is a private room that will be changed to fit the dog or cat's needs. The set up will include toys, their own items, and washable mats on the floor that will be washed/disinfected before use. ****To ensure the safety of all pets in the household, I need to see the most recent Vet paperwork showing your pet is up to date on vaccines and does not have a contractable health issue. ****Your pet MUST NOT be aggressive. Your dog MUST be fully potty trained.

Everyday he showed up when he was supposed to and gave a detailed report of how each visit went. Outside of those hours, I have flexible availability for drop-in visits and house sitting and can provide feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and medication administration as needed. When caring for pets in their home, I follow their routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I pay close attention to cat and dog body language, take extra care with pets who may try to escape, and make sure doors, gates, and other safety measures are always secure. I’m also comfortable caring for senior and special-needs pets and administering medications according to owner instructions.

About: My entire life I have owned at least 3 pets. From foster cats, to my own cats, dogs, neighbors dogs, etc. I am a pet person through and through. I have a range of ages of animals I’ve taken care of - from dogs in elderly stages to 2 week old kittens. I am currently working from home Mon,Wed, Thursday, Fri. About: I have been an animal (especially dog) lover my whole life. I have cared for all sized and all aged dogs. Besides my experience with my own lab who passed in February ‘25, I worked for a private pet care company for over 4 years. This included staying overnight in client’s homes, making daily visits, walking dogs, and caring for all types of animals, including cats and bunnies. Besides this professional work, friends and family have always relied on me to take care of their animals since I was little. I also regularly volunteer at a local rescue to walk and care for the dogs in kennel. Please reach out and we can set up a meet & greet!! I work part-time through the week, so I will have plenty of time to drop in for daily visits- whether that be walks or fetch in the backyard. Overnight stays won’t be an issue for me as well as long as it fits into my calendar.
