About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, lizards, and a chinchilla. My friends made a joke that my house was a zoo with all the animals we had. I love animals and I can’t imagine my life without a furry pet. I’m currently in college at UConn, but finishing off my senior year so only taking a couple credits. I have flexible hours and love walking. When I’m home we don’t have a fenced in backyard but she’s trained to come back. We take her on hikes all the time to tire her out. My cats are older and have to take medication but they love snuggling up with my dog.

In my role as an animal care and transport coordinator, I’ve been responsible for feeding, administering medications, maintaining clean and safe environments, and monitoring overall health and behavior. I have extensive experience with special needs pets, animals with behavioral challenges, and rescue animals, and I approach every situation with patience, confidence, and compassion. My background has strengthened my ability to read animal body language, manage high-energy or anxious pets, and respond quickly to their needs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits easily into my routine as I’m a local UConn student living in the area. I have a flexible class schedule, which allows me to plan my days around visits, walks, or check-ins. This flexibility also makes it easy for me to accommodate different times and provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, administering medications if needed, litter box cleaning, and providing plenty of attention, playtime, and enrichment. I also make sure the home stays clean and secure, and I send frequent text updates with lots of pictures to help ease owners’ minds and keep them connected while they’re away.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience with both training and senior care. I trained my own dog, who is now 12 years old, and I currently care for him as he experiences arthritis. This has taught me how to recognize signs of discomfort, adjust activity levels, and provide daily massages to keep him comfortable. I understand that not every dog needs long walks, and I prioritize each pet’s individual needs, safety, and well-being. I’m currently a senior in college, which gives me a bit more flexibility in my schedule, and I truly enjoy spending that time caring for pets. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-ins, or extended care, I’m able to plan my days around pets and give them the attention and consistency they need. I live in an off-campus house with a front yard that does not open onto a busy street, which helps provide a safe and calm environment for pets. The house is spacious, allowing pets to move around comfortably and have their own space to relax. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I’m very attentive and focused on making sure they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for. I take time to build trust, follow routines closely, and make sure pets feel safe and happy in my presence.

About: Over the years, I've cared for my own four companion rescue dogs and many more cats. I also started and ran a licensed farm animal rescue for 15+ years where I provided daily care for sheep, goats, llamas, chickens, turkeys and pigs. I have lots of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities and am comfortable working with special needs animals and giving meds. I am also available for drop-in care for some companion or pet farm animals. My routine is very flexible as I am a self-employed consultant and work remotely from my own home. I am available for visits in the morning, afternoon, and early evening. I am currently available to do dog walks and drop-in visits. With dogs and cats of my own to care for, I’m not able to do overnight housesits.
