Linda was friendly and trustworthy! My dogs immediately liked her! She was easy to communicate with and sent us lots of pictures while we were away! She made us feel at ease with leaving our two dogs while we were away. Linda took great care of our older dogs and gave them lots of love and attention (probably more then they even get from us!!) She was outstanding and we would love to have her dog sit for us again in the future!!

Jaclyn watched our 2 dogs and 2 cats for a 3 night pet sitting booking. Jaclyn took the time to understand each pet's needs and personalities, to then give them the best care and love in our absence. She kept in communication with daily summaries and pictures so we had peace of mind while we were away. Jaclyn she did laundry and remade the bed up knowing we were getting back home in the wee hours, a gesture that speaks to her character. Jaclyn is dependable and trustworthy and I highly recommend her for pet sitting!

We cannot express enough how grateful we are for Shannon! My husband and I have 4 dogs and were fearful this would deter someone from wanting to take on that number. Shannon did not hestitate to answer the call and put us immediately at ease. Shannon came over on her own time to do a meet and greet and she was / is wonderful! She welcomed each dog with open arms and the dogs were overcome with joy that someone new loved them as much as they loved her. I highly recommend Shannon with no reservations. She is kind, inquisitive, patient and communicative. She sent frequent photos and updates which we were most thankful for. We would ask her to watch our dogs again, no questions asked. Thank you Shannon!!

About: I grew up in a family that bread, Dalmatians. As I head into retirement, I'd be happy to help other families with job service services or boarding services. I have a very laid-back in well-behaved male Dalmatian that enjoys company. I’m currently retired so I have time to help our other families. I’d be happy to do drop-ins or pup-sit. If you want socialization then my pup would be thrilled to attend Whether it’s squirrel chasing or some basic training, it’s important to get energy out during drop-in visits. Balls and treats are a good way to break the ice!

This was the 2nd time we had Rebecca house sit our dog. She sent us cute pictures and videos, and from them it was obvious that our dog was very happy and relaxed. She is also very clean and respectful. We are so happy that we found her and our dog bonded with her so well.

About: I had a whole slew of my own animals at home from horses to little snakes and everything in between. I absolutely love working and volunteering with all ages of dogs and cats, I personally have dealt with and endless amount of fresh babies and end of life care seniors. I’m open to whatever they throw at me, that’s the best part! I’ve worked with aggressors, muzzled sweetie pies, and the dopiest pups all over. Let me learn their personality and I’ll tailor myself to whatever they need! I come home to my mini zoo every day! I do long walks, yoga with the kitties, exciting feeding times, and lots of chilling out in the barn or on the couch, whichever lil friend needs the most. I spend all my time with shelter animals if I’m not at home, or if I’m at work I’ll be scrolling on Petfinder seeing what I can manage and provide for LOL Id love to use the term “gentle paw-renting,” but honestly it can be chaotic at times and you just have to go with the flow! I prefer to be chilled out with your little babies and just shower all the love, but if they need to go run around the block and rip some cardboard up, let’s do it and I’ll make sure your home is just as it was prior to my visit :) you deserve stress free and they deserve a nourishing and fun filled day!

I have experience watching friends’ and family members’ pets and homes, and I always strive to make pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for. About: Been taking care of dogs for 6 years now. Have had experience training two of my own dogs and taking care of them/walking them on my own. I also work alongside with my father (also named Luis ) who has been doing dog boarding for about 2 years now. Me and my father are very used to the behavior of dogs and comfortable with dogs no matter the size or the breed of your dog. I have always had a strong love and a passion for animals, especially dogs I am currently a college student looking to make a little bit extra money by taking care of dogs. If I cannot look after the dog, my dad also takes care of dogs and is always available Me and my father don't live in a very busy neighborhood so you don't have to worry about your dog being unsafe. We have a relatively big house and also have a park very close to my house with a big open field and fence for the dogs to run around in were I can walk your dog and play with them to keep them busy without the risk of them getting hurt. I also have many toys for your dogs to play with if you would like for me to have them get a more fun experience instead of just walking them.

Andrea is amazing!!! She has dog sat for our puppies multiple times and is so great. They love her and she gives us such a peace of mind when we travel. She will send you updates on how your dog(s) are doing and pictures too if you want them. This last time she pet sat, she she put our garage lights on for us so when we came home at night we wouldn’t be completely in the dark and set the pups up with their peanut butter bones and a light for them too. She is awesome and we will definitely use her again! Highly recommend!!

About: Since I can remember I have always been around dogs and cats in my life, mostly rescues, who needed training and caring for. I currently pet sit for my family when they are away, and walk dogs for family friends. When I was a professional cleaner I encountered all breeds and ages of cats and dogs every single day so I am very comfortable around all types of pets. I especially love and have experience with pitty breeds as well as experience with some reactive cats and know what to do to gain their trust. When not taking care or animals, I am a freelance dancer and choreographer! I take dance class some evenings and may have a weekend show or rehearsals. Other than that, I am readily available especially during the morning, afternoons, and later in the evenings/overnight for your furry friends! Before we officially book, I will make sure we have a meet and greet so that your pet can get to know me as we talk about all your needs for my visit! Along with any of your pet's special needs, I will ask you to leave me with any emergency contact information just in case anything were to happen, as well as my personal contact info. I also will send you updates for your peace of mind as well as some adorable pictures of your pet(s)!

FAQs for House Sitting - Mansfield Depot

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Mansfield Depot on Rover is $50.14 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,220 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Mansfield Depot. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mansfield Depot walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mansfield Depot maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mansfield Depot choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mansfield Depot. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
