She cared for our cats during an unpredicted and unprecedented blizzard that occurred while we were out of the country (before we left, 3-4 inches max were predicted and instead it was 1-2 feet!). In typical Rachel fashion she proactively communicated, worked out a plan to ensure the cats were safe and fed during the blizzard, and even checked the feedback from our automatic feeders on the days she was unable to physically get to them. She provided valuable feedback on our snow removal situation that helped us ensure the way was cleared and safe from afar. Our very shy kitty Misty felt safe enough to play with Rachel, and by the end of our trip she did not run or hide when Rachel came in (which is unheard of!). Rachel is thoughtful, detailed, reliable, an excellent communicator, and creates an environment where my cats are not only well cared for but feel safe and comfortable as well. For us, Rachel made what could have been an incredibly stressful ordeal something manageable, and allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our girls were in good hands. Thank you Rachel!”

Franny will hide when strangers are in the house but Emma managed to find her under a bed. It was great to have pictures of Franny hiding under the bed. About: Hi! I've helped taken care of my family's dog since I was 12, and since then, I've gained experience in caring for multiple dogs and cats. I'm thrilled to help serve my local community. In addition, I've taken multiple animal science courses in my studies at UConn, and have a working knowledge of animal care. I'm a senior studying the life sciences at the University of Connecticut. As a full time student (with extracurriculars), I certainly have a busy schedule, however; that helps motivate me to manage my time and set aside certain days and nights for work! Also, I don't have any class on Fridays or Saturdays, which is perfect for weekend pet sitting needs! I can also overnight pet sit on most nights. Most of my pet sitting work will revolve around ensuring your pet is taken outside (or for a walk) when needed, fed on time (this includes ensuring fresh water is always accessible 24/7!), and given time for playtime (or even time for calm activities, especially if the pet is anxious). This is a fairly standard list of care—so if your pet has needs that differ, please let me know!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from watching relatives dogs to neighbors across the street. I personally have two large German Shepards in Connecticut. I’ve volunteered at MSPCA in Boston and worked with puppies there. I’m very patient with dogs of all ages and activity levels! I am available all day! I am home for the summer after graduating college, so I have a lot of availability during the week and weekends! I have a very large living room with plenty of space for animals! I also have a large yard for them to walk around and love going on walks with dogs.

About: I have always been surrounded by pets; enjoy giving plenty of attention; and have cared for their well-being (bathing, administering medications, monitoring recuperations after illness/surgery). I work full-time during the school year (August 20 - June 15; leave home at 7:30 a.m. and I am home by 4:30 p.m.) and have my evenings and weekends free. During the summer I am home and available during the daytime as well. I am available for check-ins, walks, and stays. Your companion would be cared for by keeping to his/her routine/schedule, keeping them safe, following any additional instructions, and giving them lots of attention and playtime.

“Madison is the BEST! Our old walker moved and my husband and I scrambled to find a new walker we liked and could trust which wasn't the easiest task! Madison is reliable, responsible, very commutative, and more importantly great with our pets. Before our initial walk we communicated a lot back and fourth and I was that annoying dog mom with a million instructions. Madison was professional and handled my requests with ease including the request to - carrying around my chihuahua if necessary lol. When one of my pups was sick Madison took the liberty of cleaning up after him and even put cream on his paws!! I look forward to her rover cards and photos I receive daily.
