About: Been taking care of dogs for 6 years now. Have had experience training two of my own dogs and taking care of them/walking them on my own. I also work alongside with my father (also named Luis ) who has been doing dog boarding for about 2 years now. Me and my father are very used to the behavior of dogs and comfortable with dogs no matter the size or the breed of your dog. I have always had a strong love and a passion for animals, especially dogs I am currently a college student looking to make a little bit extra money by taking care of dogs. If I cannot look after the dog, my dad also takes care of dogs and is always available Me and my father don't live in a very busy neighborhood so you don't have to worry about your dog being unsafe. We have a relatively big house and also have a park very close to my house with a big open field and fence for the dogs to run around in were I can walk your dog and play with them to keep them busy without the risk of them getting hurt. I also have many toys for your dogs to play with if you would like for me to have them get a more fun experience instead of just walking them.

“Renata was an unbelievable petsitter for our dog and cat! She got to know them so quickly, took outstanding care of them (I could see how happy they were with her in the pics and video she sent) and went above and beyond in every way possible, putting us at complete ease while we were away. About: Hi, I’m Alyssa – your dog’s next best friend! 🐾 Located in Tolland, CT | Flexible Availability | Trusted by Fellow Dog Parents As a lifelong animal lover and proud pup parent, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable, responsible, and caring to look after your furry family member. I was referred to Rover by friends who know how much I adore dogs—and I’ve quickly become the go-to sitter for neighbors and friends alike. I specialize in caring for dogs who may need a little extra love, patience, or consistency—especially rescues or more anxious pups. I recently cared for a young red heeler mix who was too nervous to board, and with time, treats, and a calm presence, we became fast friends. Whether your dog is high-energy or a couch cuddler, I tailor my care to their needs. What I offer: • In-home overnight stays (I’ll treat your pup like one of my own) • Daily walks and enrichment activities • Photo and text updates to keep you in the loop • Flexible scheduling and last-minute availability Let’s set up a meet and greet—I’d love to learn more about your pup and how I can help! I work from occasionally so I can be available for your dogs when boarding! I can take them out morning, noon, or night depending on need. If boarding, I have about 1.5 acres of land they can explore or a 30 foot fenced in area in the back. I have a friendly dog who’s about a year old, and a fenced in area. Were ready for whatever your dog may need and more!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born! My last dog Sam was a pitbull, she was crazy but I love her! That’s the exact philosophy I have for all dogs. Im just a college student on summer break with lots of time for walks and play dates with your companion. I’m a part time worker during the weekdays between 5-10pm. I’m a college student with extra time that I’d love to spend with your companion! I have plenty of time during the mornings to afternoons for walks, treats and pets. Respect and trust are 2 MAJOR things I don’t take lightly! I am respectful of both you and your companion, but also to your space. I treat others spaces as my own, that’s a responsibility I ALWAYS serve.
About: My name is Jen, I am an avid animal lover, dog mom, and part-time adventurer. I have my BA in psychology and have always been interested in animal behavior. I first started watching friends' dogs in 2001, then moved on to house-sitting cats and dogs. I have great experience taking care of pups and love taking them on long walks, trips to the park, the beach, and places alike. And there's always time for some positive reinforcement! I am always willing to work on some training with your pup if you request. I have a 6-year-old love bug Cavapoo named Beau who is the light of my life! Feel free to contact me and discuss your needs, desires, and any questions! Fun Awaits! As of June 14 I am free to book between 9a-5pm. I walk my dog on the trails every single day after work and we enjoy it! I will not be taking care of any dogs at my home at this time. If this changes I will update the profile as soon as possible. I do not stay over night but I will stay until bed time and return in the AM.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years through both pet ownership and pet sitting. I currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever, so I’m comfortable with active, high-energy dogs and understand the importance of exercise, consistency, and routine. I’ve also cared for family members’ cats and have experience providing overnight care for dogs while owners are away. As a teacher, I’m dependable, organized, and attentive to details, and I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m a teacher and currently work summer school from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on weekdays, which gives me plenty of availability in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends if messaged. During the school year, I maintain a consistent schedule and am available before and after work for drop-in visits, walks, and pet care. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and I enjoy making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever of my own. I always follow the routines and instructions provided by owners, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and crate training if needed. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I provide plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tolland. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
