“You will not find a better person to care for your pet. Kristen is caring, attentive, and exactly the type of person I needed to care for my high energy pup while I'm at work. She cares and wants to do what is the best for you and your pet. So happy to have met her, you will not be disappointed!”

About: Been taking care of dogs for 6 years now. Have had experience training two of my own dogs and taking care of them/walking them on my own. I also work alongside with my father (also named Luis ) who has been doing dog boarding for about 2 years now. Me and my father are very used to the behavior of dogs and comfortable with dogs no matter the size or the breed of your dog. I have always had a strong love and a passion for animals, especially dogs I am currently a college student looking to make a little bit extra money by taking care of dogs. If I cannot look after the dog, my dad also takes care of dogs and is always available Me and my father don't live in a very busy neighborhood so you don't have to worry about your dog being unsafe. We have a relatively big house and also have a park very close to my house with a big open field and fence for the dogs to run around in were I can walk your dog and play with them to keep them busy without the risk of them getting hurt. I also have many toys for your dogs to play with if you would like for me to have them get a more fun experience instead of just walking them.
“I highly recommend Sarah! She took wonderful care of my elderly dog and gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was patient, attentive, and made sure he received his medications and special care exactly as instructed. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which meant a lot knowing he can be anxious because of his age. It was clear that she truly cared about his comfort and well-being. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Thank you for treating him like your own!”

“Jo was terrific! Very communicative and responsible. She sent us photos every day of our cat Olivia who seem to have a terrific time visiting with her. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone looking for someone who wants to be sure that their pet will be well taken care of.”

“Sammy watched my dog Brody for a week. She showed up each day on-time and provided pictures and texts. I really felt like she did a good job with him as he can be difficult to warm up to people when we aren’t there. I would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“Hiring Ashley to care for our pets while we were away was a great decision! She went above and beyond with our pets and home. Our cat can be a bit spicy at times but Ashley handled him well and enjoyed time with him. Thank you!!”

“Jenn did an awesome job of taking care of my Leah. Leah was waiting at the door this morning for her arrival.? This can only mean that Leah has made a new friend. She tended to Leah’s needs even when she had personal happenings. I’m ever so grateful that Jen was Leah’s sitter and would highly recommend her as a sitter. I’ll be contacting her for sitting the next time we take a vacation. She’s very professional!”

“Great job once again!! Kaylee is everything one could ask for in a pet sitter. Her kindness and service are top notch!! Will definitely use her again when I need to! Thank you soo much!!”
About: Hello! My name is Amanda. I live in Tolland, CT with my husband and son. I have a lifetime of experience with animals of all kinds. Growing up I always had dogs and/or cats, as well as several other types of pets. I worked in a pet grooming salon for 6 1/2 years, and a doggy daycare for 1 year. I have also done pet walking and sitting for family and friends. I have owned and/or taken care of many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, birds, hamsters, and mice. We currently have a dog, cat, guinea pig, and turtle! I take care of and love each pet as if they are my own. I am a kind, compassionate, patient person who can't wait to meet your pets! I'm currently unemployed and my husband is a stay at home dad so my schedule is pretty open and flexible to be able to care for some furry friends! I love, care for, and treat all animals as if they are my own. I would always make sure the pet is safe, loved, and well cared for. I live with my husband and son who are both animal lovers as well.
“Cara was happy to accommodate a pretty last-minute request for a single drop-in visit for our little guy when we were gonna be away for an evening into late night. As always, she was fantastic with her communication and flexibility!”

About: I have about 3 years of pet care experience and have cared for animals for family members, friends, and neighbors. I’ve helped with feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m athletic and love being active, so I really enjoy taking dogs on walks, playing outside, and keeping them entertained. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs, so I understand the importance of being patient, responsible, and paying close attention to instructions. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always try to make them feel loved and cared for! I am currently not working and have a lot of free time. I am very scheduled and typically wake up early in the mornings and am available at most times! I care for pets in the client’s home by keeping their routine fun, safe, and comfortable. I make sure they get plenty of love, fresh food and water, walks, playtime, and attention while their owner is away. I always follow instructions closely, especially for pets with special routines or medical needs, so they feel happy and cared for in their own space!
“This was our second time using Riley She’s great with communication and I love getting pics of our fur babies. It’s a great peace of mind knowing we can go away and they are taken care of”

“Kage was great with Stella and Luna. Each drop in he gave a detailed description of everything along with photos. He had good base knowledge of cat behavior which made us feel comfortable right away. 10/10 recommend!”

About: I have over 2 years of dog sitting experience and currently work full time at a doggy daycare, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m experienced with feeding routines, exercise, and group play, and I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I work full time, five days a week, as an opener at The Mellow Mutt, with typical 6-hour shifts. My schedule can occasionally shift, so a bit of flexibility is helpful, but I do my best to keep things consistent for pet owners. I’m also a full-time online student at SNHU, which allows me to stay flexible and available for house sitting needs. I usually work Wednesday afternoons and most of the day Sunday, and my only consistent day off is Saturday, making me available for extended stays and attentive overnight care. While staying in your home, I focus on keeping your dog’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I stick closely to their feeding, walking, and play schedules, and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very attentive to their behavior and comfort, so I can quickly adjust to their needs and help them feel safe while you’re away. I also keep your home clean and respected, and I’m happy to provide updates so you can feel at ease knowing your dog is well cared for.
About: I have always been surrounded by pets; enjoy giving plenty of attention; and have cared for their well-being (bathing, administering medications, monitoring recuperations after illness/surgery). I work full-time during the school year (August 20 - June 15; leave home at 7:30 a.m. and I am home by 4:30 p.m.) and have my evenings and weekends free. During the summer I am home and available during the daytime as well. I am available for check-ins, walks, and stays. Your companion would be cared for by keeping to his/her routine/schedule, keeping them safe, following any additional instructions, and giving them lots of attention and playtime.
About: Hi, I’m Alyssa – your dog’s next best friend! 🐾 Located in Tolland, CT | Flexible Availability | Trusted by Fellow Dog Parents As a lifelong animal lover and proud pup parent, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable, responsible, and caring to look after your furry family member. I was referred to Rover by friends who know how much I adore dogs—and I’ve quickly become the go-to sitter for neighbors and friends alike. I specialize in caring for dogs who may need a little extra love, patience, or consistency—especially rescues or more anxious pups. What I offer: • In-home overnight stays (I’ll treat your pup like one of my own) • Daily walks and enrichment activities • Photo and text updates to keep you in the loop • Flexible scheduling and last-minute availability Let’s set up a meet and greet—I’d love to learn more about your pup and how I can help! I work from occasionally so I can be available for your dogs when boarding! I can take them out morning, noon, or night depending on need. If boarding, I have about 1.5 acres of land they can explore or a 30 foot fenced in area in the back. I have a friendly dog who’s about a year old, and a fenced in area. Were ready for whatever your dog may need and more!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
