About: We're a husband-and-wife team who spent nearly 20 years with four beloved adopted pets, all with their own quirks, personalities and needs. In another life, Laura worked in veterinary hospitals and emergency care with plans of becoming a veterinarian. Life ultimately took her in another direction, but the love of animals stuck – and our own pets taught us plenty, too. Especially Winston. He came to us after a really tough start, fearful and reactive to just about everything. With the help of veterinarians and positive reinforcement–based trainers – and a whole lot of patience, play and love – he became the sweetest snuggler, constant shadow and one of the great loves of our lives. Now after saying goodbye to the last of our four, the house is just too quiet. We're not ready for new pets yet, but we miss that presence only an animal can bring. So, for now, we'd love to borrow yours. You get to travel knowing they're loved and well cared for, and we get the walks, cuddles and ridiculous personalities we've been missing. One of us works from home, and the other is home frequently, so your dog will have lots of company throughout the day and rarely be left alone. About: I love dogs and cats! I do not currently own a dog or cat, but I volunteer with Our Companions in their Adopt a Shelter program spending time visiting and walking dogs in local shelters, and I have volunteered at their animal sanctuary in Ashford walking dogs. I am also in their Canine College program, taking and assisting in dog training classes. I enjoy using positive training techniques (treats and praise) to reinforce polite dog walking and attentive behaviors. I am comfortable walking dogs up to 70 lbs. My home is spacious with 2 friendly cats and 2 well-socialized dogs who all coexist peacefully and are used to having new furry friends around for a temporary time. My backyard is fenced in for safe outdoor exercise or just to hangout and catch a breeze on a nice day, my neighborhood also includes many quiet side streets for daily walking if needed. My home is air conditioned on those days that are just too hot and heated when it gets too cold. There is a big basket on the floor full with multiple types of toys, an easy accessible water bowl that's refilled at least 3xs per day, food or things on counter is not left anywhere that can be easily reached and harmful plants/chemicals to animals are not brought/used in my home.

About: I am an animal science student at UConn and currently ride on their equestrian team. I have trained my own two dogs while learning from a professional trainer and now I train and sell horses along with house sitting dogs and cats here and there. I am available most days to walk, run, or visit your cat or pup until I go back to college. I am currently not working another job so my schedule is open. I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting before I came to college and during the summer. I have my own two dogs back home that are part of our family and a cat! I love spending time just chilling or playing with my dogs but we also go for runs, walks, and mountain biking together so I can fit into whatever your dog needs!

I am a born animal lover and will treat your pet as if they were my own. I do work full time, so would mostly be available weekends but can be flexible depending on the situation. My job provides me with skills that would be helpful in caring for older animals and animals with health conditions. Comfortable with both dogs and cats. I have 2 dogs of my own who are always happy to have playmates, but I also have ample space and can keep them separate if needed. Willing to come to your place or have your fur babies come to mine.

About: - Very flexible with pay -Open availability -I take the dogs out for walks every 2-3 hours -I’m very friendly and have 2 dogs of my own - I will bathe the dog(s) if they become messy - I will treat your dog like my own -I will play with the dogs and make sure they get plenty of activity - I have a huge yard - I will watch the dog at all times while outside - If it’s an emergency I can try to squeeze you in - I do some weekends (mornings) if necessary -I’m very good with communication and respond within the hour - I’m good with basic training,bathes and minor grooming -I’m also understating and very easy to get along with I am a WFH parent. During my down time I am able to take care of these dogs. I’m always home and very active in animal care. I have two dogs that remain in a separate part of the house. I have a large yard for animals to play in. I also don’t mind taking the dogs out around the neighborhood, mine or yours to explore!
