“This is our second time using Austin. He is always promt and on time for his visits. We never have to second guess if he will be there. Very respectful and responsible. He also sends out his daily report immediately after every visit. Keeps us informed and updated. We have found our sitter.”

“Melissa did a great job watching our cat Mabel. She sent detailed updates with photos and videos. She can be shy and hide under the bed, Melissa was able to get her out to play and be pet. She seemed happy and well cared for!”

“Riley was awesome! We contacted her kind of last-minute, but she made time to meet us and our cat before our trip and then accommodated our drop-in needs through the week. She's responsive, trustworthy, and caring, which went a long way toward mitigating our cat's usual grumpiness when we go away. We highly recommend Riley to others in the area!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, bunnies, fish, and guinea pigs since around age 11. Neighbors and family trust me to walk, feed, cuddle and play with any fur babies. I am currently a full time college student on summer break until late August. I am currently working part-time at a job with flexible hours, so I am able to work around certain request times. I am comfortable cuddling and playing with your animals inside or outside the home! I will crate animals if requested. I am highly communicative and will send updates/pictures from the visit/sitting. The more the merrier!
About: I have always been surrounded by pets; enjoy giving plenty of attention; and have cared for their well-being (bathing, administering medications, monitoring recuperations after illness/surgery). I work full-time during the school year (August 20 - June 15; leave home at 7:30 a.m. and I am home by 4:30 p.m.) and have my evenings and weekends free. During the summer I am home and available during the daytime as well. I am available for check-ins, walks, and stays. Your companion would be cared for by keeping to his/her routine/schedule, keeping them safe, following any additional instructions, and giving them lots of attention and playtime.
“Thank you so much for being patient w our Lily, Heather! We will definitely book again. You went above and beyond with communication and we couldn’t have asked for a better visit!”

“Sammy watched my dog Brody for a week. She showed up each day on-time and provided pictures and texts. I really felt like she did a good job with him as he can be difficult to warm up to people when we aren’t there. I would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“What a pleasure it was meeting Katie and working with her. On a last minute booking she was easy to work with and took care of our furbaby as if Nugget was her own. I Highly suggest you book her! You won't regret it!”

“Lesa was great with my fur baby! We had a meet & greet and my dog took to her right away. This was our 1st time leaving our dog alone overnight & we were nervous. Lesa was great communicating with us & keeping us up to date with how she was doing & sending us pics. We will definitely have her look after our fur baby again!”
About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. Each of them provides an invaluable experiences that teaches me patience, compassion, and communication. I’m now the proud owner of a 11 month old cat, Balrog, and of a 13 year old chihuahua, Mia. Though I am a full time student and a part time kennel attendant, I am able to be more flexible with my schedule over summer break. My current availability is as follows, Monday: Unavailable Tuesday: All day Wednesday: All day Thursday: All day Friday: All day Saturday: All day Sunday: Unavailable While I do not have any space in my home to keep animals at the moment, in a clients home I am happy to play with pets, let them out or go on walks, crate if desired, clean up any possible mess, and overall act as a safe and friendly part of a pet’s environment in any way possible.

“Elizabeth did an outstanding job with our two dogs! She always sent pics and took great care make sure they had what they needed. Highly recommended and will work with her again.”

“Andrea is great! She communicated throughout the entire process. She kept me informed on how everything was going. She sent pictures showing her interaction with Snuggles. Although, she wasn’t booked to care for the cat, she notified me of his mischievous behavior. I will definitely book with Andrea again. Thank you Andrea!”

“Rachel was very helpful with my two cats and had great communication, and even called to ask if anyone had been in the house between visits when things didn't look the same (the cats had moved a curtain). Her diligence was greatly appreciated. Would certainly hire again.”

“Chelsea was great! Very informative about what was going on while I was on my trip and sent me pictures to ease every wonder I had.. She made sure Bella was calm and soothed before leaving her full of anxiety and that I most of all appreciated more than ever because my baby has separation anxiety and so do I ? We will definitely be booking Chelsea again safe to say she’s got new regulars coming her way so watch out people ?”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for many years through both pet ownership and pet sitting. I currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever, so I’m comfortable with active, high-energy dogs and understand the importance of exercise, consistency, and routine. I’ve also cared for family members’ cats and have experience providing overnight care for dogs while owners are away. As a teacher, I’m dependable, organized, and attentive to details, and I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m a teacher and currently work summer school from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM on weekdays, which gives me plenty of availability in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends if messaged. During the school year, I maintain a consistent schedule and am available before and after work for drop-in visits, walks, and pet care. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and I enjoy making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats and currently have a Springer Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever of my own. I always follow the routines and instructions provided by owners, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and crate training if needed. Whether caring for pets in your home or mine, I provide plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Jo was terrific! Very communicative and responsible. She sent us photos every day of our cat Olivia who seem to have a terrific time visiting with her. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone looking for someone who wants to be sure that their pet will be well taken care of.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
