She cared for our cats during an unpredicted and unprecedented blizzard that occurred while we were out of the country (before we left, 3-4 inches max were predicted and instead it was 1-2 feet!). In typical Rachel fashion she proactively communicated, worked out a plan to ensure the cats were safe and fed during the blizzard, and even checked the feedback from our automatic feeders on the days she was unable to physically get to them. She provided valuable feedback on our snow removal situation that helped us ensure the way was cleared and safe from afar. Our very shy kitty Misty felt safe enough to play with Rachel, and by the end of our trip she did not run or hide when Rachel came in (which is unheard of!). Rachel is thoughtful, detailed, reliable, an excellent communicator, and creates an environment where my cats are not only well cared for but feel safe and comfortable as well. For us, Rachel made what could have been an incredibly stressful ordeal something manageable, and allowed us to enjoy our trip knowing our girls were in good hands. Thank you Rachel!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, bunnies, fish, and guinea pigs since around age 11. Neighbors and family trust me to walk, feed, cuddle and play with any fur babies. I am currently a full time college student on summer break until late August. I am currently working part-time at a job with flexible hours, so I am able to work around certain request times. I am comfortable cuddling and playing with your animals inside or outside the home! I will crate animals if requested. I am highly communicative and will send updates/pictures from the visit/sitting. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from watching relatives dogs to neighbors across the street. I personally have two large German Shepards in Connecticut. I’ve volunteered at MSPCA in Boston and worked with puppies there. I’m very patient with dogs of all ages and activity levels! I am available all day! I am home for the summer after graduating college, so I have a lot of availability during the week and weekends! I have a very large living room with plenty of space for animals! I also have a large yard for them to walk around and love going on walks with dogs.

About: I have always been surrounded by pets; enjoy giving plenty of attention; and have cared for their well-being (bathing, administering medications, monitoring recuperations after illness/surgery). I work full-time during the school year (August 20 - June 15; leave home at 7:30 a.m. and I am home by 4:30 p.m.) and have my evenings and weekends free. During the summer I am home and available during the daytime as well. I am available for check-ins, walks, and stays. Your companion would be cared for by keeping to his/her routine/schedule, keeping them safe, following any additional instructions, and giving them lots of attention and playtime.

About: I’ve had a dog and 3 cats growing up. I am constantly around dogs and they all love me. My friends and neighbors have trusted to watch their animals when they are away. I just graduated college and looking for a fun job for over the summer! I have lots of free time so I am available to help with your animals whenever you need! I have one cat at home but he’s not the biggest fan of new animals. I love playing with animals and making sure they use most of the energy.

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. Each of them provides an invaluable experiences that teaches me patience, compassion, and communication. I’m now the proud owner of a 11 month old cat, Balrog, and of a 13 year old chihuahua, Mia. Though I am a full time student and a part time kennel attendant, I am able to be more flexible with my schedule over summer break. About: I have been around all types of pets my entire life. I’ve taken care of dogs from Newfoundland’s to chihuahuas. I’m great with pets and have been responsible for cleaning, feeding, walking, and playing with lots and lots of dogs. I am a big animal person and want to do something with it in the future. In my childhood I would go to my aunts house often to take care of her 5 Newfoundland’s and bulldog. I would take my sisters chihuahua to the mountains of Colorado. Every nearby neighborhood I grew up by as a child knew me for my exceptional dog care and would want me to walk and dog sit for them all the time. It comes natural for someone when it is what they really love to do. I am currently self employed so I can make time or move my schedule around to accommodate your pets schedule needs.
